"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement"
This place was okay, but too big. They didn't give enough personal attention, and their billing was always messed up. The new Director of Nursing wasn't great either. It's nice and pretty, and the food is good, but they made some strange decisions. They made less seating when they upgraded the furniture, and they locked the kitchen cabinet for staff convenience. After dinner, there wasn't much to do. They promised movies but didn't deliver. We even got locked out on a holiday evening once because of short staffing. Unless they make some changes like getting a new business manager and Director of Nursing and dealing with some of the bullying staff, I wouldn't suggest it. Some of the other staff were nice, but you really need to be independent there.

"Mixed Experience at Cabana Assisted Living"
Overall, it was good, but the staff didn’t check all the paperwork carefully. Unfortunately, a DNR situation caused a crisis, and my dad passed away from Covid during his short stay at Cabana.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I'm a family member of a resident here. The place looks nice, and they keep it tidy. But, when I visited my grandma, I found bugs in her room. I tried talking to someone in charge about it, but the staff there was rude and didn't care about my problem. The biggest problem is the staff. They're not consistent, especially with security. Last night, my grandma called me scared because the lights went out and alarms were blaring. People were freaking out, but there was no one in charge to handle it properly. It was really scary and made me wonder why they can't take care of residents like they promise. Overall, it's poorly managed and they don't provide the services they charge for.

"Nice Community with Good Tour"
Our family went on a tour of the place. Even though the building seemed a bit old, everything we saw and everyone we talked to made it seem like a nice community. It was a good tour.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member stayed here for almost a year. The pandemic was happening when they left. The staff took COVID seriously and kept everyone safe. The food wasn't great, but the place was clean. I thought the other residents needed more care than my dad, so we relocated him.

"Shoddy management and care at Jensen Dunes"
I can't believe how awful the treatment and management at Jensen Dunes are. The director is tricky and allows illegal operations. My Grandfather kept getting really bad care, and now he doesn't stay there anymore. Don't be fooled by the nice looks of Jensen Dunes into putting your family there. It's a terrible place that is managed really badly.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Care and Safety"
My mom lived at Jensen Dunes. At first, I loved it. But after 18 months, things changed. The call buttons didn’t work, help took too long, and mistakes happened in care. They listen to complaints, but the problems keep happening. It’s not just about certain workers, it’s a bigger issue. My mom is used to it now and leaving would be hard. Before choosing Jensen Dunes, ask questions about these problems.

"Issues Arise as Jensen Dunes Reaches Full Occupancy"
I left a review of Jensen Dunes a while back after my mom had lived there a few months. At that time, I was really pleased with the medical and day-to-day services. But over a year and a half later, the high-quality performance we saw when it first opened isn't the same now that it's fully occupied. There have been issues with the call button system, slow responses to requests for help, and some disturbing and potentially dangerous mistakes in medical care. Even though the facility listens when I bring these issues up, I am no longer as confident in my mom's safety and care as I was before, and I always have a feeling that a new problem could crop up any day. This appears to be a deeper, system-wide issue rather than just a problem with individual members of the staff. Sadly, my mom has gotten used to being there and has formed close bonds with staff and fellow residents, so moving her somewhere else would be really hard. Before you think about this place for your loved one, I'd recommend asking some tough questions about these types of issues.

"Wonderful Community with Caring Staff and Great Meals"
I’m sad to say my husband has passed, but we had a great experience while he was in this community. The staff is really kind and made our family and friends feel welcome. They served delicious meals, and my husband enjoyed his time here. This is one of the best places in the area, and I would recommend it to anyone. We truly had a wonderful experience in this community.

"Beautiful Facility, Lackluster Dining, CEO Disappoints; Consider Carefully"
Your community is really pretty, but the food lacks heart. Most of it seems to be frozen or prepackaged, hardly anything is homemade. The staff are mostly friendly, but the CEO doesn't seem to care much. It's important to treat people with respect and dignity. This place might not be the best choice.

"Beautiful Facility, But Lacks Quality Dining and Compassionate Leadership"
First off, I need to say that your establishment is one of the nicest assisted living places I've ever seen, hands down. You can really tell how much time and effort was invested into the building. Stepping inside, there's this warm feeling that makes you think, "Yes, this is where I want my family to spend their golden years." But I have a few worries: The folks in charge of meals could add a bit more "love" to their dishes. A large portion of what's served seems to be frozen or out-of-the-box, with only a small amount appearing home-cooked. It's simple to just heat up frozen food or take something prepackaged, add a nice garnish and call it good. If this experience is supposed to mimic fine dining at a five-star hotel, then where's the proof? The majority of the staff are kind, but I have my doubts about the CEO. I feel that a person in such a position should genuinely care about their role. Sure, every company needs to make money, but not treating folks with RESPECT and DIGNITY is not the way to go. Why would anyone, in their right minds, choose 'The Cabanas' under these circumstances? I hope the establishment will take time to observe and hear how the CEO behaves in all job-related matters. I would suggest thinking twice about choosing this place.

"Outstanding Community, My Parents are Thriving"
This is a community I would highly recommend. My parents are doing great since moving here. They really love it, and I’m very happy with everything they’ve done for us. I would give this community the highest rating in every way. The staff is great. When I visit, everything is clean and nice. We don’t have any problems or concerns. It’s been a perfect fit for my family.

"Exactly the Right Place for Mom"
As a retired nurse and hospital administrator who has visited many assisted living facilities, I found something special at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes as soon as I walked in. The place is in a quiet, beautiful area of Florida's Treasure Coast, and its layout and decor are just right. Most importantly, the staff is genuine, caring, and supportive, which you can feel from the first moment you contact them. Since I live in the Netherlands, I needed to be sure I was picking the right place for my 90-year-old mother, so I asked many questions and examined everything. I found the perfect place! When Mom first visited, she immediately said, "This is it." Since moving to The Cabana, she has loved the friendly atmosphere and the personal connections with all the staff, from nursing to dining to maintenance. I really think she feels 20 years younger since moving in! I highly recommend The Cabana at Jensen Dunes. I've seen many services during my career, and this one sets the standard for all others to follow.

"Beware: Overpriced Facility with Self-Centered Director"
This assisted living facility might be new and high-priced, but it might not last very long. The Director doesn't seem to be very good at connecting with people, especially those living there. It's like everything revolves around her! Time to continue our hunt for a better-managed facility nearby.

"Finally, a perfect place for my mom"
My mother is in memory care at the Cabana at Jensen Dunes, and it’s the best place she’s been. She has a nice apartment with cable and internet, which is super convenient. The staff are all very caring and take their jobs seriously. The nurses and aides are kind and pay close attention to my mom’s needs. They even have a separate dining area in memory care and a big restaurant for everyone else, and the food is really good. Moving a parent isn’t easy, but this place is great. They keep her busy with activities, and she’s happy. The facility is new, very clean, and she’s much healthier now compared to her old place. No complaints at all. A+!

"Best choice for my parents—happy and at ease!"
I checked out all the assisted living places around, and Cabana @ Jensen Dunes was clearly the best choice for my parents. Every employee is helpful, caring, and seems very capable. The nurses and aides are especially professional. The place is the cleanest I've seen and has lots of beautiful public areas and activities. The apartments are spacious and well-equipped, with no issues with hot water or air conditioning. The food is amazing—the Chef makes every meal outstanding. Plus, the price is the best in the area. My parents are very happy, and my siblings and I feel at ease. Thank you, Cabana @ Jensen Dunes!

"Dire Warning: Reconsider this Self-Centered Director's Facility."
Please reconsider before placing your loved one here. The director seemingly only cares about her own interests and not the welfare of the residents or their families. Given the choice, I personally wouldn't risk jeopardizing my license to work there. I genuinely worry for the residents and their families. While the director may convincingly portray a caring persona to families preparing to admit their loved ones, behind the scenes, it seems to be quite the contrary. No matter how new the facility may be, I wouldn't dare to place my loved one here. From my observations, resident needs are continually being neglected while the director capitalizes. It's a case of her way or no way at all. It's a truly regrettable situation.

"Reconsider This Facility: Issues Overshadow Amenities"
Although this assisted living center is modern and new, it already struggles with important things like hot water and air conditioning. My mother was subjected to chilly showers, and the climate control was so off, temperatures on the second floor reached 80 degrees. The only relief was a solitary fan at the nurse's station. Once patients are admitted, it seems they're more interested in your payments rather than providing quality care. My mother repeatedly faced excessive wait times, sometimes over half an hour, for assistance. During the overnight shift, they only have one nurse on duty, leaving memory care residents unattended while they assist downstairs. These faults all suggest the residents aren't receiving the standard of care for which they're paying. I urge you to scrutinize other options before choosing this place. It may entice you with exciting amenities, but it currently lacks the staff needed for basic assistance, like aiding someone in the pool.
