The Colony Club in Sunrise

"Avoid Colony Club: Deteriorated Care, Lack of Compassion, Money-focused Ownership"
Don't choose Colony Club for your loved one's care. My mom moved in back in 2014 when it was still family-owned, and it felt like home. But when a big company took over, things went downhill. They care more about money than the residents. Staff turnover is high, cuts were made, and life quality dropped. My mom, in her 90s, stayed because of friends and familiarity, but it was a mistake. When she needed hospital care, they messed up her info, making treatment harder. Recently, she got scabies, and when I told Colony Club, they shrugged it off. When she passed, the owner sent a text, no staff came to pay respects. It's not the family-like place it used to be. Look elsewhere for genuine care and responsibility.

"Pest-infested, Unhygienically Smelly Facility with Resident's Belongings Missing"
This place is crawling with bugs and roaches. The strong scent of pee fills the whole place and the residents' belongings are always going missing. The entire center could seriously use some thorough cleaning and pest control.

"Good Facility, But Location Is Inconvenient"
Nice place. Might consider it, but it’s a bit too far west.

"Great food, but rooms feel like a dorm"
The staff is friendly, and the place is clean. The dining room is lovely with great food choices. But the rooms feel like a college dorm and are a bit too expensive.
