"Mom chose Lake Orienta over Oakmonte for more liked features"
The place was very nice and Carol was very helpful, but there were many things my mother liked better at Lake Orienta. So, she decided not to choose Oakmonte.

"Clean Rooms but Favoritism Issues in Independent Living Facility"
Our family member stayed in independent living, so they didn't need much help, but the cleaning crew always made sure her room was tidy. However, there was a problem with them treating some residents better than others, which made some people leave.

"Clean Facility with Friendly Staff but Lacks Outdoor Appeal and Food Quality"
Our loved ones shouldn't feel like they're in a hotel. This place is really clean and well taken care of, and the staff is nice. However, they could encourage the seniors to go outside more. The back area isn't designed well for enjoying the outdoors; it needs ceiling fans and awnings for shade. It's not very inviting to spend time there. The overall atmosphere is beautiful and the menu looks great. But, when I talk to the seniors, they tell me the food isn't up to par.

"Friendly Staff and Informative Tour, Chose Smaller Community"
We had a great tour at The Cordova at Oakmonte Village. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. They answered all our questions and told us about the care we'd get and their services. We picked a smaller place that felt cozier.

"Good Tour, But Needed More Advanced Care"
I had a good tour of the community. The place was really nice with lots of different buildings for different care needs. But they didn't have the right stuff to look after my mother-in-law who needs advanced care, and there wasn't a nurse there all the time. My wife and I would've loved one of their smaller houses though.

"Beautiful and Pricey"
I visited this community with my mom, and it felt fancy! Chandeliers, a grand piano—it was gorgeous. They even had cocktails and a wine bar in the evenings. It reminded me of the Ritz Carlton! The only downside? The price. It’s a beautiful place if you can afford it!

"Gorgeous Inside and Out"
I visited this community with my mom, and it felt so fancy! They had chandeliers, a grand piano, and everything looked gorgeous. In the evenings, they even offered cocktails and a wine bar. It reminded me of the Ritz Carlton! The only reason I didn't choose this place was the price—it was too expensive for our budget. But if you can afford it, it's a beautiful spot to stay!

"Informative Tour Experience!"
The Cordova at Oakmonte Village has cool stuff. They give rides for free, and pets are welcome. They also help families with meals. My tour was decent. The guide told me lots about what they offer and the plans they have.

"Quality Food and Fun, But Housekeeping Could be Better"
My mom has settled into life at Oakmonte Village pretty well. The facility is impressively clean and doesn't give off any foul odors. There's plenty to do, with tons of fun activities and even live music and a cocktail hour every day. However, I do think the housekeeping could use some work. They've gotten into the bad habit of not making the beds or taking out the trash more than once a week, which isn't great. When it comes to keeping busy, mom's found plenty of stuff to do. She's made a bunch of new friends and gets to play bingo, cards, and even make crafts and beads. As for the meals, they're top-notch - definitely A+ quality stuff.

"Beautiful place, amazing service, and free happy hour!"
This place is beautiful and friendly, with only independent residents. Michael is a great guy who treats everyone like family. The food is amazing, with a lovely dining room and many meal options at affordable prices. I'm so impressed by the care and service. Best part? Free happy hour with a jazz player! I’d recommend this place every day.

"The cleanest, happiest place for loved ones!"
The first thing on my checklist was cleanliness. This was the cleanest place I visited, hands down. The rooms are spacious and nicely arranged, and the facilities are top-notch. Honestly, this decision was more for me than for my mom. Next on my list was avoiding the dreaded nickel-and-dime style of care I’ve heard horror stories about. So far, so good—there are no surprises, and I know exactly what I’m paying for. The staff has always been helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. From the salesperson Carol to the head nurse Dominique, everyone I’ve met has been amazing. I can sleep well at night knowing my mom is in great hands in a safe, well-run facility. The staff understands her needs, and they hire special people to care for those with memory issues. In my opinion, Oakmonte has the best staff. Every time I visit her (almost daily), she seems happy, smiling, and active with things to do. She enjoys the food and takes part in almost every activity. Thanks to A Place For Mom," this difficult decision became much easier.

"Elegant Facility with Mixed Staff Experience"
Nice-looking spot, but staff seemed scarce and CNAs weren't friendly. The one-bedroom setup was good, and the activity rooms were enjoyable—though not exactly cozy, they had a classy vibe.

"Absolutely fantastic place with amazing staff and cleanliness!"
I wanted to give more than 5 stars for cleanliness and the staff! The staff is just wonderful. On the 4th of July, they had a band, and everyone had a great time. They even sang along with the singer, which was really special. Overall, I couldn't be happier with everything. The whole place is awesome! The housekeeper is both professional and kind-hearted. They even take out the trash for you, so you don’t have to look for a garbage chute. The rooms are well-designed and very nice. The dining room and outdoor porch area are beautiful, too. This place has truly been a God-send!

"Nice place, good care, needs better communication"
Overall, we are happy with our experience. Our family member has gotten good care. The assisted living is different. This is a nice place that will keep getting better as the memory care unit hasn’t been open long. Communication isn’t great, which has been frustrating. The place is nice.
