"Mixed Experience at The Gardens of Port St. Lucie"
Our family visited The Gardens of Port St. Lucie in person. Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean, and the smell was quite bad. This turned us off upon arrival. The room they showed us as an example was very nice. However, the room my stepdad was supposed to move into was old, run-down, and located next to an exit door.

"Pricey Community!"
I visited this community, and our experience was nice. The staff arrived on time for our appointment and thoroughly answered our questions. The floor plan was spacious and had fantastic amenities for everyone. Unfortunately, it didn't fit our budget in the end.

"Great Care, Passionate Staff"
I want to say "Thank You" to The Gardens of Port St. Lucie. My orthopedic doctor told me I needed short-term rehab after knee surgery. I chose The Gardens of Port St. Lucie and am very glad I did. The entire staff, including Admissions, Nursing, and Therapy, were wonderful, providing me with lots of love and care. Everyone was professional, respectful, and courteous. The meals were delicious, and it was a pleasure being there. Thank you.

"Caring and professional staff making a difference"
My mother is in rehab here and needed to go to an appointment, but she felt very uncomfortable and was hard to manage because of her dementia. The staff, especially one particular person, went out of their way to help calm and distract her. I was really impressed by their calm and professional care. This time has been tough for us, but the staff here is making a big difference, and they deserve recognition.

"Unsettling Doubts About Mom's Treatment at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom recently passed away while at the Gardens assisted living facility. She lived there for multiple years, and I'd assumed she was being cared for properly. However, when I went to collect her belongings, I was appalled by the level of disorder in her room. They'd let it become extremely dirty and neglected. On top of this, some unidentified individual had the audacity to inquire about purchasing her furniture within a day of her passing; this made the painful experience even worse. As I was packing up her room, it felt like some staff members hoped to obtain her possessions. My mom had made similar complaints which were dismissed as dementia-related. I now wonder if there was some truth to her fears. Let it be clear that this place seems to be more interested in profits than people's well-being. This priority was evident in my every interaction with them. I am haunted by self-blame for trusting her to their care. While there were a few commendable people there, like Pat at the front desk, I can't help but dread that they could have mistreated her. When you hear concerning stories about places like this, you can't help but fear the worst.

"Nice staff, but could improve activity encouragement"
The staff here are really nice and caring. I hoped they would do a better job encouraging her to join activities and engage with the community, but they haven't. Overall, it has been a positive experience.

"Fantastic Place for Our Mom to Thrive!"
We moved Mom in about a year ago after Dad passed away, and it was the best choice we ever made. She's so busy with all the activities that she’s even busier than we are! Mom has really opened up and made new friends. The food is also really tasty! We’ve been very happy here.

"Concerning drop in care quality after initial impression"
This assisted living facility could definitely stand to elevate their caretaking standards. My visit and conversation with them as well as my inspection of the property were quite encouraging. Unfortunately, my mother stayed there for two-and-a-half days and the level of care dropped drastically. Her assigned caregiver didn't have a pager, which made me worry about my mother's safety. Initially, their engagement and effort to get my mother settled were notable, but it felt like they became complacent just as soon as she was in. I find it hard to contemplate placing her in their care again, or even in any other nursing home, given the lack of quality care she received.

"Caring staff makes everyone feel at home!"
They're doing a great job here, and we're very happy with the service. They really care about the residents and get to know them well. I like that when I call the front desk, they can tell me right away where my loved one is. The staff know everyone by name and go out of their way to make the residents feel like family. When my loved one came back from the hospital, everyone greeted her warmly and welcomed her home, which meant a lot to us.

"Fantastic Experience at This Assisted Living Facility"
This place was amazing! We were relocating to another state, to one of their partner communities, and they made the transition seamless by doing our assessment. If we weren't leaving the area, we would have stayed here without a doubt! Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. It's truly a great place.

"Units Too Small for Our Preference"
We briefly explored the facility and checked out a few pamphlets. The apartments were a bit tinier than we wanted, so we decided not to follow up.
