"Nice Facility"
The Preserve at Clearwater was pricey, so we couldn’t choose it. Still, it looked like a very pleasant place.

"Awful experience at assisted living home - felt like prison"
My pal was trapped in this assisted living home for two months, watched around the clock by a guard. With legal assistance, he was able to leave. He can take care of himself. The food was awful and the room felt like a prison cell.

"Assisted Living Tour Feedback: Staff Helpful, Missing Front Desk"
I toured this place. The staff was kind, answered my questions. It's clean with a pleasant courtyard. Residents are active. It's my second choice. I prefer a front desk person, which they lack.

"Shortcomings In Staff and Cleanliness at Assisted Living Facility"
The employees at this assisted living facility are constantly changing. This place is really unorganized and they truly lack good customer care skills. If you ask them for help with a particular thing, chances are, you won't get it. They don't properly take care of cleaning the residents' rooms and even misplace their personal things like clothes and towels. These people don't have the necessary training which is probably why they can't retain their staff for long. Their employees just aren't skilled enough.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Care and Communication"
My parent had Alzheimer's and stayed in the memory care facility here for over a year. I checked out many places, and this one seemed better than the rest. But over time, the care got worse, and I worried about my parent. I'm not sure why, but I'm not happy with the new director. I talked to her about my concerns, and she said she'd fix things in two weeks, but nothing changed, and she never followed up. Only when I said my parent was leaving did she pay attention. Some staff are great, like the activities director and many nursing assistants, but there's favoritism from the nurse manager, leading to neglect and laziness in some staff. Ironically, it's the nursing assistants who aren't part of the inner circle who really care for the residents. I had to ask for basic things like nail trimming, shaving, and showers. Sometimes it was clear my parent had been wearing the same clothes for days, and the apartment floor was often dirty. The facility looks good, but it's not better, maybe worse, than others and costs more. In short, it's risky to leave a loved one here unless you visit often and keep reminding the staff to do their job.
