The Waterford at Carpenter's Creek

"Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement"
The meals are tasty, but I wish dinner time was more flexible. The activities are fun, but it would be nice to have more options. The place looks good, and my one-bedroom is just right. Most of the staff are wonderful; it takes a special kind of person to do their job well. Overall, my experience has been mostly positive.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The food can be hit or miss, and sometimes they're short on staff, though it's getting better. The building is old and needs more upkeep; the elevator and washing machine have been out of order a few times. Also, they recently hiked up the rent by $600 a month.

"Disappointing Tour and Atmosphere at The Waterford"
We visited The Waterford at Carpenter's Creek while looking for a place for our loved one. It wasn't good. The tour wasn't good, and the place felt bad overall. We're still looking.

"Nice Facility, Good Residents, Poor Response from Management"
At first, we thought this place was great. However, I talked to the boss last Tuesday about some questions I had about giving out medicine. She told me she'd reach out to me later that day or the next, once she talked to the main office. But when I didn't hear anything by Thursday, I sent another email. I'm still waiting for a reply. The place is nice and the people living there seem to be happy. But not getting a response bothers me.

"Warm and welcoming community, feels like home"
I've toured many places. The Waterford at Carpenter's Creek felt warm and friendly right when we walked in. They said it was remodeled last year. It's bright and clean. The residents we talked to were happy and liked living there. We met a lot of the staff on our tour, and they were really nice and informative. There were activities going on and snacks being served in the big Activity Room. I also found out they had a perfect survey, which means a lot to me. I'm in healthcare, so I know dietary won't please everyone. I know no place will be perfect for my mom, but this community felt the closest to home for us.

"Great Spot, But Mom Dislikes the Food"
My mom really likes it here, but she's not a fan of the food. Other than that, she's been doing great. She's been taking part in their activities and social gatherings. We've found it to be a pleasant and tidy place. The staff are super friendly, really considerate, and always helpful.

"Unhappy With Service and Environment at Assisted-Living Facility"
We weren't happy with this place. We showed up on time for our meeting but ended up waiting in the lobby. All the while, the grounds keeping crew was walking back and forth through there, carrying their lawnmowers and weed-whackers, and even helping themselves to the juice and cookies that were for visitors. Another employee sat there watching TV in really dirty clothes. Twice we got called by someone who promised to meet us right away, but she never came. So, we left. Later, she called and seemed surprised that we were there waiting all along.

"Very Dissatisfied With Neglected Promises and Poor Care"
I am really upset about how my relative is treated. They made us promises but they didn't keep them! They always seem to be short-staffed. Whenever I visit, I see just one worker trying to manage the entire first floor. So, if you need anything, be prepared to wait a long time. And you better hope you don't have an emergency! The food they give is often wrong. The baths they provide are pretty useless, because I always end up having to rewash my relative due to the lingering smell. They don't seem to check in on my relative much when I visit. This place is suited only for people who are completely self-sufficient. If your loved one's health starts failing, which sadly happens a lot, they're definitely in hot water at this terrible place!

"Subpar Service and Unkept Promises at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is pretty disappointing. The service is really horrendous. It seems like they're always short-staffed and unable to meet the residents' needs. They claim they're going to provide certain care, but they never fulfill those promises. It's so frustrating when they say one thing and don't follow through—it puts a lot of stress on the residents. The wait times for meals can be ridiculous—often an hour or more! The bathing schedule is hit and miss. They say they'll help residents with their baths at certain times and then never show up. The situation with medication is also far from ideal. The residents don't always receive their medicine on time. These folks are elderly and they shouldn't have to constantly remind the staff of their responsibilities. After all, the workers get paid to know how to properly care for the people residing at the facility.

"Excellent care, healthy meals, and a safe environment!"
I’m really happy with the care my mom gets here. The meals are healthy, well-balanced, and the portions are just right. The staff make sure she’s comfortable and feels safe in her new home. I have no complaints and definitely recommend this place!

"Mom wishes she had moved here sooner!"
They clean the community every day and mom's apartment weekly. They also do her laundry. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly, know a lot, and help mom with her medication. The other residents I’ve met are happy living there and say so. Mom wishes she had moved here sooner.

"Inadequate Care Level but Clean Surroundings"
I went on a tour and quickly realized that this place isn't going to cut it for my family member. They need more care than what's available here. I was pretty miffed because the staff brought me in for the tour without pointing that out. The place was neat and tidy, though.

"Great Care and Activities for My Uncle at This Facility"
My uncle is doing great at this facility. It’s really nice and clean, and they do a good job keeping it that way. The staff is excellent, and there are lots of fun activities for him whenever he wants to join in. He also loves the food—they serve really good meals. I know he’s safe and getting great care. I highly recommend this place.

"Mixed Review: Assisted Living Facility Food Needs Improvement"
The cafeteria food here could be better, but they say they're working on improving it. As of now, the meals are so-so and often not hot when served. But, hey, staying hopeful. Good news is, the folks working here are mostly pretty good and better than other places. Plus, they have transport for residents!

"Inadequate Care at Assisted Living Facility: Pneumonia Ignored"
This spot is okay for elderly folks who can move around pretty well. But, if someone needs a bit more help, which they claim to provide, they fall short. My dad got pneumonia and they didn't seem to realize he was sick. It wasn't until my family stepped in and took him to the doctor, that he had to be rushed to the hospital. The situation had become so severe that he will need to stay at the hospital for nearly a month.

"Friendly staff and great food!"
They’re doing a great job at Pacifica Senior Living! Everyone here is super nice, and they really have everything under control. The kitchen staff are especially respectful, and the food is always good and served right on time. I love that I don’t have to worry about cooking anymore!

"Utilities not included made it feel more independent."
We checked out this place during our tour. It was nice, but it seemed more like an independent living spot since utilities weren't included in the price. You had to pay for your own water and electric, and I didn't want to worry about those extra bills.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living, but Gayle's great!"
She told us a lot of useful stuff and was really helpful. The place itself is great! It's in a good spot, and they have fun activities and transportation. But I didn't like that we had to pay for electricity separately. My mom's house payment is really low, and her utility bills are low too. So, right now, it seems like it might be better to just let her stay in her own house.

"Friendly People and Residents"
The Pacifica Senior Living Community stood out to us because everyone there is friendly, the rooms are kept clean, and there's a variety of activities. Even though my family member doesn't participate in all of them, the food is good too.
