"New Management Fails to Improve Assisted Living Facility Experience"

Horrible experience, the facility is under new management. They seem to be making changes, however, these changes are not beneficial at all and it doesn't seem like it will be a good experience for anyone involved.

"Poor Facility with Unprofessional Staff - Seek Alternatives"

This facility was disorganized and unkempt. The employees acted inappropriately and were quite impolite. I wouldn't recommend anyone from my family to live there. I'd advise you to save yourself some trouble and consider other options.

"Unimpressed with Watermark Assisted Living Facilities"

I would definitely not suggest the Watermark to anyone. Despite its decent size and the staff's familiarization with all residents, it's just not up to par. The outdoor area is just average, nothing special. Yes, it's clean, but that's it. The community seemed nice; we might have had a different experience if we moved my mom earlier. I think we missed the chance to make it work for mom.

"Room for Improvement at Otherwise Nice Assisted Living Facility"

While this assisted living facility has its perks like high cleanliness standards and numerous activities, it falls short in some crucial areas. One of the major letdowns is the allowance of smoking. In fact, the rules for smokers are not stringently enforced. Regarding meals, they are usually low-grade, mostly consisting of sandwiches, canned fruit, pasta and pizza. Another inconvenience is the lack of staff at the front desk after 5:00 PM until the next morning, making it virtually impossible to follow up about a resident or gather information. The rooms come equipped with chain pulls for emergency calls, but they're only useful if one falls next to one. Rooms checks are far and few, done either hourly or every two hours depending on the selected schedule. Most of the time, nearby residents are the ones who end up reporting falls after hearing a neighbor call out. Ideally, every resident should have a personal alert button to signal when they need help. Assistance for bathing, laundry and similar tasks often take unnecessarily long. Even with its positive aspects, it's disappointing that this facility hasn't managed to fix these critical issues.

"Nice Place with Major Problems Like Smoking and Poor Care"

This place has some nice things like fun activities and it's pretty clean. But, I'm upset that they let people smoke and don't enforce the rules about it. The food isn't the best; it's mostly sandwiches, canned fruit, pasta, and pizza. After 5:00 PM, there's no one at the front desk until morning. So, there's no one for checking on your family member or getting information. The rooms have chains to pull for help, but they only work if you fall right next to one. They only check rooms every one or two hours, based on the schedule you pick. Most of the time, people who fall are only found when other residents hear them yelling out. Everyone here needs a button to wear around their neck to call for help. Some people have to wait really long for help with their baths or laundry. It's really too bad that this nice place can't fix these problems.
