" "Inadequate Help at The Woodlands for Higher Level Needs""
The Woodlands may be an alright option for those needing help with everyday tasks like meal prep and cleaning. It's for people who can mostly live independently but enjoy having some extra help. But, if you or a loved one require more advanced levels of aid, The Woodlands might not be the best fit. The absence of a call system is a huge issue. If your needs are more severe, your only option is to yell loudly for help and even then, assistance is not guaranteed. Those with high assistance needs would be better off at a different facility. As someone with more advanced needs, I often find myself uncomfortable or in pain and struggling to get the help I need. Sometimes, I just have to make do without. So, always do your research before deciding on any facility.

"Don't choose this facility!"
This place changed management three times while my mom was here, and we were never told. We found out from other residents and their families. We put my mom here because she has Alzheimer's. But even after I complained, they didn't dress her in the clothes I bought. She ended up in the hospital after a year, diagnosed with Rectal Cancer. When she came back under hospice care, the staff only paid attention when the Hospice nurse and PCS visited. They didn't check on her or feed her when we weren't around because they were short-staffed and going through more management changes. We moved her to a better place, but it was too late—she only survived two weeks due to severe bed sores.

"Can't Recommend: Unpleasant Smell and Decaying Facility, Unreliable Staff"
Gross, I wouldn't even dream of leaving my parents here. I was hesitant to step foot inside when I first saw it. Once inside, the awful smell confirmed my doubts. The whole place seemed very run down. The salesperson was tardy and I just couldn't bear to wait in the dingy lobby, so I skipped out on the tour.

"Grossly Uncomfortable Assisted Living Facility, Unappealing and Neglected."
Gross! There's no way I'd even think about putting my parents in this place. The minute I saw it, I didn't even want to step inside, but I did anyway. The smell was awful and the whole place looked like it was falling apart. The salesperson was late, so I didn't even bother to take the tour because I just couldn't stand being in the lobby.

"Unimpressed with Disrespect and Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
Upon arriving at the facility for a tour, I noticed it was quite dim. As we waited on a couch for our guide, a friendly lady spoke hurriedly in Spanish but there was no one around who could understand her. Once our guide arrived, she had to shout for someone who could assist the Spanish-speaking lady. The facility overall seemed bleak and there were large patches of paint missing from the doors. While it was clean, the owner who led us around did not seem to value privacy, unlocking and opening doors without knocking. This even happened when a resident was in the middle of using the bathroom, which was disturbing. Although they offer three meals daily, there are no snacks provided, which seems inadequate. I also observed a disheartening lack of interest from the staff towards the residents who needed care. The general atmosphere was one of indifference and it was quite sad. Based on all these reasons, I would strongly advise against recommending this facility.

"Steer Clear: Impersonal Staff, Gloomy Ambience and No Snacks"
When we arrived to check out the facility, it was very dim inside. As we waited on the couch for, a lady who only spoke Spanish was hustling around. No one else there could speak Spanish. Finally, showed up and called for someone who could speak Spanish to assist the lady. The place looked gloomy and a lot of paint was peeling off the doors. I have to be fair, it was clean. As the owner led us around and unlocked doors without knocking, I was shocked by the lack of courtesy for the residents. She even opened a door while a person was using the toilet. They do serve 3 meals a day, but no snacks at all. The staff seemed indifferent to the people needing care. It was a depressing spot, I wouldn't recommend it at all!

"Caring Staff, Nice Garden, Overall Pleased!"
My family member just moved in here, and we're happy. The staff really care about them and us. It's a fenced place, but they have a garden for walks and a spot for smokers. Overall, we're happy and would tell others about it.

"Cheap Assisted Living Facility Lacks Modern Features and Information"
The place was worn-out and old-fashioned. They didn't provide any take-away information. It was cheap, but the quality reflected the price.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short"
I only chatted a bit about this place and I wasn't too thrilled with what they had to offer or their different options. It didn't seem like the right place for my mom, and I don't think I'd suggest it to others.

"Wonderful, caring place—highly recommend!!"
The Woodlands is fantastic! They truly deserve 5 stars. I couldn’t have picked a better place. When my mom was ready to leave the hospital, she asked to return to The Woodlands. The staff is very caring, and everyone I talk to loves it there. It’s always clean, and the meals smell delicious. Whenever I see people touring, I always recommend it because it’s a great choice!

"Comfortable Stay, Friendly Staff, But Pricey for Budget"
My mother-in-law had a good time here. It was short but nice. The place is clean and nice. The workers were nice too. It was a bit expensive for her, but still nice.

"Great communication and cleanliness; happy with mom's care!"
My mom has been living here for about 2 months, and everything is going well. We have good communication with the staff. The building is older, but they keep it clean and recently got a new roof. We can visit anytime, day or night. They serve a main dish at meals, but there are alternative choices if you don’t like it. This community is a lockdown facility.
