"Assisted living received 5 stars; closed after hurricane, refund issue."
The experience was excellent until a hurricane caused them to close. They wouldn't refund the money I paid through early October. This was due to the owner's dishonesty, not reflective of the staff's excellent care for my mother.

"Unwelcoming Assisted Living Facility with Unfriendly Staff and Unpleasant Odor"
Awful! Ancient furniture. The home stunk. Josie, the owner, is pleasant but her son is completely unapproachable! Even saying hello seems like so much work for him! I couldn't imagine my Dad living here! It feels old and not welcoming in the slightest!!

"A Welcoming, Comfortable Place for Loved Ones"
My mom has been living at Topics for a few months now; she turned 98 in December. Finding a place for someone you love is tough and can be really emotional. From our first visit to Topics, my family felt welcomed and at ease. It was like staying at a really nice bed and breakfast. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. It can house up to 5 residents, and the dining area feels like a family meal. The sunroom is bright and airy. Topics has met my mom’s needs perfectly. I would recommend Topics to anyone searching for a place for their loved one. Every family’s needs are different, but this place worked well for us.

"Short Stay, High Needs"
Josie told me they couldn’t care for her due to her needs. She stayed just four days.

"Unsafe and Disorganized: Assisted Living Facility Failed to Impress"
I thought this place was awful. The large, unprotected pool area right at the entrance didn't make me feel secure at all. They were really unprofessional and seemed all over the place. I could go on, but I think you get how feel. I wouldn't even wish this place on my worst enemy.
