"Nice Apartments with Two Meals a Day"
My loved one stayed at Veranda Club in Independent Living. There wasn't any supervision, just an apartment and two meals a day. I would recommend Veranda Club to others.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
This place is very clean and well-maintained, except for ongoing remodeling, which is slower than expected. Communication is generally good, but the business office can be slow to respond, requiring me to escalate my questions. They provide various activities like exercise, movies, and games for residents. My parents have no complaints about the food, though the menu seems limited and could use more variety. They offer transportation services as well. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends once the remodeling is completed.

"Great staff, nice community, activities; needed more assistance for mom."
Sure, here's the rewritten review in simpler language: "It was a great tour. The staff were friendly, and lunch was enjoyable. The community was nice with daily activities. It seemed good, but I thought my mom might need more help."

"Friendly Community with Renovations Ahead"
I really enjoyed this community. The staff were super friendly, and the residents were awesome. It’s an older place, but they’re about to start renovations. This was my second choice, but I hesitated because of the upcoming changes.

"Positive Assisted Living Experience"
I had a great experience with my loved ones at this assisted living facility. It's worth checking out to see if it's a good fit for your family. Although my loved ones haven't been there long, things have been positive so far.

"Friendly staff, homey feel, undergoing renovations"
We didn't stay here long. I would tell others it's changing owners. They are also fixing up the place. It's going to be a beautiful community. The staff are very friendly, but the temporary nurse is excellent. The temporary director took a long time to get back to you. The place is smaller and feels homey.

"A Welcoming Assisted Living Community"
Everyone at the assisted living place is friendly, including the staff and other residents. They try their best to help everyone, without too many rules except for Covid. My loved one was upset about moving here, but now she's happy, has friends, and is glad she's part of the community.

"Subpar Assisted Living Experience Amid COVID, Neglect, and Absent Staff"
My family's experience at the assisted living place has been disappointing. The food isn't great, especially since they've started delivering it in Styrofoam boxes because of COVID. Even though the restaurant is open, it's not impressive. We were promised good care, but it's just not happening. Sometimes, our loved ones don't get their medicine on time. We were told a local doctor would oversee them, and the first meeting was okay, but nothing's happened since then. The nurses who are supposed to look after them aren't always around either.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
We picked Veranda Club because it looked nice in pictures. Rooms are okay. Staff should improve customer service. Pool is promoted but not cleaned or used much. Residents charged extra for it. Maintenance takes a while to respond.

"Really exceeded our expectations!"
We have had our mother at the Veranda Club for a year now, and it has really exceeded what we expected. We could not be happier with our choice during this important time. They truly care for their residents and go above and beyond.

"Fun-Filled Activities!"
My dad recently moved into this community, and things are going well for him. He loves the activities they offer, and I'm impressed by the variety of events for residents throughout the day. Most of the staff have been great, and I feel good about the care he's receiving. The only area for improvement is the meals they can be hit or miss during the week.

"Great choice for Mom!"
We visited many places, but the Veranda Club was the best for my mom. It’s not too big, so everything is close together. I’ve had dinner with her in the dining room, and the food is pretty good. The apartment is a nice size, and the walk-in closet is huge—I’m a little jealous! Overall, our family thinks it was a great choice.

"Decent Cleanliness But Service Issues Force Parents Out of Veranda"
My mom and dad live in this place. My mom is not liking it here. They both had an issue with the way the dining area is set up and how the staff handled it. It bothers my mom that her helpers keep changing and that their laundry doesn't get collected as promised. Plus, they ask her to put away her own clean laundry, and at 92, that's really tough for her. Because of these problems, and a few more, my parents will be moving out of the Veranda. On the bright side, the place is always neat and tidy. The food is alright and most of the time, the staff are nice.

"Good price, but needs more activities"
I moved here not too long ago, and things are going well. The staff is really friendly, and I like being here. The food is alright, but you can tell it’s made in big batches. They don’t have a lot of activities, which is something they could improve. I chose this place because of the good price, and overall, everything has been really good.

"Consider Tour Before Deciding on this Facility"
The assisted living facility didn't match our expectations. We misunderstood the ages of the residents living there and thought it would be a more active place, like we were originally told. Unfortunately, there are no activities to engage the residents and the community spaces are often vacant. They only show a movie once a day and don't provide a car service for running errands. Because of this, my father-in-law isn't active here. The facilities do maintain cleanliness and the outdoor area is lovely. But I think the staff could use more training and the food needs a little tweaking. We wished there were more activities for our relative. I advise other families to do a guided visit here before deciding it's the best place for their loved ones. It doesn't seem too crowded here.

"Delicious and Healthy Meals!"
This place gives my loved one yummy food that's good for them and just the right amount. The nurses come by to check on her three or four times every day, making sure she's okay and getting what she needs. I'm grateful for this place and would suggest it to others.

"Cozy Community with Personal Touch, Ideal for Independent Living"
I really liked the place and how it's set up. It seems like they really care about the people who live there. I also like that the folks who need a bit of help and those who don't are all together and get along. It feels friendly.

"Assisted Living Disappointment: Misrepresented Activities, Broken Promises"
This place seems okay at first, but they're not telling the whole truth. Their workout routine is just a couple of old people watching an exercise video. The breakfast buffet is only real three times a week, with plain cereal and juice on the other days, even though they promised daily breakfast. The craft class project was some tiny ball, and nobody knew what it was meant to be. It seems like they just put random "activities" on the schedule to make it seem full. Every day there's a new problem with the apartment - something's missing or broken- and there’s nobody around to help. Moving my mom here was supposed to make things easier for me, but it's causing more problems than it fixes. I guess I made the wrong choice.

"Great Staff, Active Community, Minor Flaws"
I think the Veranda Club does a really good job overall! The place looks great, especially the newest building where my loved one stays. It's always super clean! I also like how everything is close by, so you don't have to walk too far. My loved one lives in the assisted living part, and she and her friends often go to the independent living side for fun stuff. The staff is amazing, especially the director. They're always ready to help and don't mind doing things for you. When my loved one moved in, they were really busy, but the director came with a power drill to help us hang pictures! There are lots of activities and events here, which is great. I'd suggest it to families who want a place with a big Jewish community. They have a Rabbi every Friday and celebrate all the important Jewish holidays. We've had a few small problems with communication, and sometimes the kitchen seems short on staff and slow during lunch. But overall, it's a really nice place, and I'd say it's worth checking out.

"Knowing I Made The Right Decision"
My mom has been living at The Veranda Club for a month. We were lucky to get her a new apartment in the A Building. It's beautifully decorated and kept super clean. Her one-bedroom apartment has a big bedroom that fits her king bed and two night tables. The living room fits her sectional couch and a recliner. The bathroom is huge with wood flooring. Most of the staff are very attentive, and it's nice to know the Director, keeps a family-like atmosphere for residents and their families. The food is great—Mom had baby rack of lamb last night. They also offer alternative meals like a nova lox platter, which is a favorite, and their blintzes are amazing. There are many activities for the independent side, and it's easy to get there with a walker. They have live music weekly and religious services. There could be more interactive activities on the assisted living side since it seems they mostly play cards. Even though moving here is a big change for residents with memory loss, balance issues, and no longer driving, The Veranda Club’s team understands and provides a safe, hotel-like environment.

"Disappointed Review of Aging Assisted Living Facility, Lacks Clarity"
This facility looks worn out. They told me my Dad would need an evaluation to figure out what he needed and how much it would cost. It was already expensive, without any obvious benefits. The lady wasn't clear about what was included. There wasn't a nurse available all day and night. EVERYTHING had additional fees.

"Comfortable, clean facility; concern about covered outdoor area."
We checked out this place for my family member's care. It looked nice, clean, and the people working there were all nice too. Our biggest worry was that she'd have to go through a covered outdoor area to get to the main places like the dining area. We were concerned it might make her not want to go out.

"Parents Welcomed but Apartment Repairs Needed Sooner"
My folks just moved in here and really felt the warmth from both the staff and people living there. But, they found some problems in their place that needed fixing. Fast forward 5 weeks, and they're still waiting. I wish the team had acted faster on these repairs, and I'm hoping they'll be sorted out real soon.

"Busy Staff, Familiar Faces, and Comfortable Apartments"
Theme were very busy but still made time for us. They were patient, and my dad and his significant other (S.O.) were thrilled to reconnect with familiar residents. The apartments were wonderful, reasonably priced, and undergoing much-needed remodeling with new carpeting and fresh paint. Although the lobby wasn't impressive, the spacious gathering areas mattered most. Ultimately, comfort guided our decision."
