"Highly Recommended, Great Staff, Easy Move-In"
We totally recommend this place, and we've told others! Moving in was super easy! Communication is AMAZING! The place is always clean. The food is okay, but my loved one isn’t too interested. The staff is wonderful!

"Great care with room for more memory care activities."
Our whole family thinks it’s very nice here. It’s usually clean, and the aides are good at their jobs. We’re really happy with it. Our loved one is well cared for, eating well, and sleeping well. The only thing that could be better is the activities. More activities would be great, especially for memory care. But overall, she’s in good hands.

"Great tour, but another place was a better fit"
The tour was fantastic. We were moving and had to do the tours online. This place was nice, but another community ended up being a better fit for my loved one. The tour guide was excellent and provided all the information I needed.

"Avoid This Facility: Overpriced, Understaffed, and Negligent"
If you're considering placing your family here, don't. There's a lack of staff, and those they have are temporary, clueless workers. Despite the high cost, my relative wasn't checked on. It was a dreadful experience that I wouldn't advise anyone to go through.

"Unacceptable Conditions and Blatant Disregard in Assisted Living Facility"
We had a nightmare experience and immediately removed our family member from this facility. The quality and taste of the food was appalling and the place reeked awfully. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired, even gas station floors are kept in a better state. We were repeatedly misled about the daily care routines. The facility demanded more money, claiming it was for meal deliveries. The fact is, they had shut down their dining room and started expecting residents to pay extra for delivering meals to their rooms. The new director was highly unapproachable and non-communicative. Whenever we tried to address our concerns, they would become aggressive in their defense. This situation was resulting in a mass exodus of many other residents. Emails sent to voice our issues were completely ignored. One instance of their bizarre menu choice was a combination of lasagna and rice. I wouldn't consider leaving even a deceased dog in that poor excuse of a care home. The facility failed to sufficiently stock a necessary medication which is a major safety concern. They ended up asking for additional supplies from us, despite being responsible for a providing a month's worth of medicines." The

"Assisted Living Review: Great Location, Nice Campus, Food Needs Improvement"
The place is in a great spot, and the campus looks really nice. They have independent living houses, assisted living, and a place for memory care. The things you can use are really nice too, like their separate town center with a movie theater. But, when I talked to some of the people living there, they said the food could be better in taste and quality.

"Healthcare-Friendly Community"
The place doesn't make you sign a lease, and they've got a healthcare service where the doctor comes to visit if you need an appointment. I'd tell others to check out this community.

"Mixed Experience: Staff Varies, Management Inconsistent, Room Lovely"
The staff here are nice sometimes, but not always. They help out okay, but sometimes the bosses aren't steady. When our family member needs something, it's hard to reach the right person. They don't pick up the phone or reply to emails. Before COVID, there weren't many activities for the people living here. The food wasn't good, and it needs to get better. We heard they have a new cook, but we're not sure if things have improved. Our loved one's room is nice, with a pretty view of a little pond. The layout of the place is good and works well.

"Mixed Experience at Waters Edge Assisted Living"
My mom lives at Waters Edge assisted living. The place is beautiful, with a gated entrance, safe walking areas, a nice pool, and a library. However, the food quality has been disappointing. Since the lockdown, it’s gone downhill—no fresh fruit, lots of empty carbs, and unpalatable meals. Mom spends extra money on groceries despite the facility being supposed to provide all meals. We talked to the Director and the kitchen head, requesting no pasta, fried, or breaded food, and daily fresh fruit. Sadly, our requests were ignored. Recently, there have been chef turnovers, and the director left. Some residents even had locks installed on their kitchen cabinets for medication security. There’s also talk of missing jewelry. Residents have been isolated in their rooms for six months, and morning activities aren’t ideal for older folks. While I like Waters Edge, I can’t recommend it due to the food situation. Hopefully, corporate will improve the budget or hire a better chef to support residents’ health.

"Desperate to Move Parents from Failing Assisted Living Facility"
My folks have been living there for a pair of years and we're counting the days till we can relocate them. At first, the meals and the facilities were commendable, but everything took a nosedive into disaster in the past year. They can't manage to retain chefs, waitstaff or housekeeping employees. More often than not, frigid sandwiches are all that's served for dinner because there's no chef, which to some degree is better than the undercooked chicken they've given out before. There's been zero response from the agency or main office regarding the grievances raised by the residents.

"Steep Decline in Quality Forces Family's Plan to Move Parents"
For two years, my parents have lived here. The standard of services and meals has drastically plummeted. Whenever we voice our worries to the bosses, they just ignore us. They haven't had a real chef for months and no one ever comes to clean the apartments every week as they should. We're working on getting my parents out of there super-fast.

"Mixed Experience"
The assisted living facility is generally nice, but the dining room housekeeping needs improvement. The food has been consistently terrible, and the room size and layout are good. They offer both common outdoor space and private Lanai.

"SeniorAdvisor is a valuable service"
Using SeniorAdvisor.com was a great choice. I used A Place for Mom to find a retirement community that had everything I needed. My advisor made a list of places with pros and cons, and I visited each one. My advisor stayed in touch by phone and email. It was a wonderful experience and saved a lot of effort. I'm very happy with the facility I chose and would recommend SeniorAdvisor.com and A Place for Mom to seniors or their families.

"Wonderful staff and facility"
My uncle and aunt were always independent, but things got tough when my aunt developed Alzheimer’s. It became hard for my uncle to care for both of them. After some searching, we found Water’s Edge, and they’ve been amazing during the transition. I highly recommend this place! From the moment we moved them in, everyone was so warm and welcoming. The nurses are super helpful and kind, and overall, it’s been a great experience. It didn’t take me long to choose this facility, and you’ll understand why when you visit. The food is nutritious, but I don’t like that the residents have to pick all their meals for the week—it seems like a bit of an unnecessary hassle. Everything is really clean, and they take the trash out often. The place is well-kept, and my uncle especially loves the pool and bingo. They also have memory care, so if something changes, my aunt can stay there and get the care she needs.

"Constant Excuses at Water's Edge of Bradenton"
We've had some real issues at Water's Edge of Bradenton. We decided to move my mom in there because we loved their activities director. However, he was fired not long after she settled in and they've yet to replace him. My mom, despite having dementia, is still pretty sharp and needs a lot to do. She's in the memory care wing, and there are just not enough activities for her. We've asked several times for them to allow her to participate in assisted living events and meals, but our requests go unanswered. It's frustrating trying to get them to fulfill their promises - they always have some reason why they can't. Honestly, I wouldn't give this place a recommendation right now. But hopefully, things will turn around in the future.

"Modern but Small Rooms and High-Priced Assisted Living Facility"
Nice, new place. There are many big spaces for fun activities. However, the room was too little for what my mom and dad need. It's split into two levels and you have to travel between buildings, which could be a problem. It's also fairly expensive.
