"Great Tour and Nice Community!"
This community was really nice and would’ve been perfect for my loved one. It was my favorite, but we chose a different place. The tour was excellent—they showed me everything.

"Friendly staff, nice community, but issues with housekeeping and food"
The administration team is friendly and seems to really care about the residents. However, some residents like us who don’t live in the main buildings often feel overlooked. Recently, the community started removing some landscaping without informing us that our lawn would be affected. Although they fixed it and replanted almost everything, one plant was not replaced. The monthly fee covers one meal and housekeeping. The food is processed, and the dining room is closed. I’d like to have the option to choose between buying a meal from the community or getting better housekeeping. The current housekeeping is limited due to time and restrictions, though the main housekeeper is very nice. I also wish there was better communication between the main building and our building. I pay for electricity, but cable and water are included. The community looks nice with great landscaping outside. I would consider coming back since it’s a maintenance-free place to live, but I would think carefully about the housekeeping and processed food before deciding. There are many nice people here.

"Friendly welcome and positive experience so far"
I've been living at Westminster Manor for about a month. These are not normal times because of the coronavirus, but my welcome here has been friendly and comfortable. I moved from a senior living community in the Midwest, where I had a good experience, to be closer to my daughter and her family. I think it was a good move. Once activities start again and I get to know more residents, it will be even better. A Place for Mom helped us find this community. My feelings so far are positive, and I expect that to continue. I can't rate some things yet since I haven't experienced them, but based on my expectations, I give high marks.

"Wonderful care and great amenities at Bradenton Westminster Manor"
My loved one lives at Bradenton Westminster Manor. We’re really happy with how well she’s cared for, especially when we aren’t there. The staff is fantastic and connects with each resident on her floor. Even the Director of Nursing visits regularly to offer comfort. The food is excellent, and if she can’t make it to the dining room, they bring meals right to her, so she doesn’t have to worry about having an 'off' day. The dining staff also makes sure she gets her fruits and salads every day. We often relax by the beautiful new pool and hot tub in our courtyard. It’s a great place to be!

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The health center really needs help. I was there for rehab recently, but it wasn't as promised. They said I'd get a private room, but I had to share. It took over 40 minutes for anyone to answer my call button, and then they turned it off without helping me. When I asked about my care, no one had answers. They told me to use my diaper instead of helping me to the restroom, which is unacceptable. My medications were never on time, and I couldn't even get a shower when I wanted one. Most of the aides were rude and hard to understand. The evening and weekend shifts were especially bad. They were loud and disruptive, making it hard for me to sleep. It's concerning that the facility is run this way. The therapy staff were friendly, but I never knew when they were coming. Having a schedule would have been helpful. The only positive thing was that the food was good.

"Beautiful Manor Lacks Proper Assisted Living Support and Assistance"
My Mom stayed at the Manor for here for 25 days. She was in the assisted living section and I was promised that she would have help doing daily tasks. I was with her for the first week and witnessed everything. Once she settled in, no one gave her a tour or showed her where to go to eat. When I asked for a tour, the Head Nurse informed me that she was too busy and someone else would give us the tour, but nobody ever came. We didn't have meals there for the first 2 days because we didn't know where to go or when. No helper visited her room to assist her in dressing. In all the 25 days, she didn't get help taking a bath even once. She was able to participate in only one event because they didn't have a person to manage events and there were very few to begin with. Nobody informed my mom about any events, so she spent most of her time sitting alone. After I left, she called me frequently, worried about missing meals because no one could take the time to help her understand the meal schedule. 20 days into her stay, the Head Nurse informed me that my mom wasn't adjusting to the new environment and I had to make immediate arrangements to move her out and to hire a personal caretaker until then. I tried reaching out to the management, but my calls were left unanswered, so I moved my mom out. (I later discovered that the director at the time was temporary.) My mom had trouble adjusting because 1) they didn't give her enough time to settle in, and 2) they didn't make efforts to support her. The Head Nurse seemed unwilling to have a resident who required more than 10-20 minutes of help per day (I was told no one in assisted living needed more than this, and if she did, she needed to be in memory care). The Manor itself is very nice and the food is delicious. I'm 55 and could live in their independent living apartments, and I would in an instant if I was ready to retire. But if your loved one needs assisted living, this place is not a good option.

"Shocking Lack of Compassion and Competence at Manor Rehab"
Our Experience at the Manor Rehab Facility Was Terrible!" We placed Mom in the Manor for rehabilitation, but it was horrific from day one to the end. She ended up needing hospitalization. The lady at the reception desk had zero courtesy. We didn't know Mom's room number and she did not bother to help. The facility was unclean and reeked like urine. Mom's night nurse even struggled with operating her bipap machine, and eventually threw it at her before storming off and slamming the door behind her. I voiced my complaint the next day and saw no action taken. Mom has a special diet due to her renal condition. The dietitian, unbelievably, asked me what that meant. The lack of knowledge is startling. When I asked a nurse if she knew Mom required aid with eating, I was met with a puzzled look. Although Mom was there for less than a week, I have a laundry list of complaints. It was a downright awful experience at the Manor!

"Caring Staff in a Small, Cozy Place"
I've been a rehab patient at the Manor twice now. Each time, I’m glad I chose them. The therapy team planned and did my therapy very well. The nurses cared for my wounds and made sure all my needs were met. This is a small place with a big, caring heart.

"Disappointing Experience at Westminster Health Center, Improvement Needed"
Putting my mom at Westminster Health Center was not a good experience. We thought it'd be a good place for her and my dad after her hospital visit so they could be together. But, it didn't go well so I wouldn't suggest putting your family there. The people who do physical and work-type therapy are good at their jobs and nice. But, the rest of the place needs to get better. The nurses and their bosses especially need to work on things. Every day I visited, it was hard to get information about how my mom was doing. People always said it wasn't their job or told me to talk to someone else. Even the nursing boss acted this way, so something's definitely wrong. Also, my mom can't use her right arm so she needs help eating. Twice, when I visited during mealtime, nobody helped her eat. I usually don't write reviews, but I had to this time. They also need to clean the place better because it often smelled bad when I walked in. The Assisted Living part of Westminster might be fine but I can't suggest the Health Center for your family.

"Westminster Health Center: Unimpressive and Needs Improvement"
I had a very disappointing experience when my mom was placed at Westminster Health Center. We thought we'd give it a try after her hospital stay, as we were contemplating of getting her a permanent spot in the skilled nursing and moving dad to the assisted living side so they can be together. After this experiment though, I would advise against putting your loved one here. The therapy team is really good and they care a lot—they deserve praise. But everything else needs major work, especially the nurses and their supervisors. Even though I stopped by almost each day, getting a simple update on mom's health was always tough. There was too much of "that's not my job" and redirecting to some other person. Even the head nurse had this vibe, so there's definitely an issue. Also, my mom needs help cutting her food because she can't use her right arm, but when I visited during lunch, no one seemed to care or help her. Normally, I don't write reviews, but I felt needed to after this. The place also could use a good scrub; there's often an unpleasant smell when you enter. Maybe the assisted living side of Westminster is better, but I wouldn't recommend their health center if your family member needs this level of care.

"Decent Assisted Living Community: Affordable with Kind Staff and Nice Rooms"
This place is okay for what we need. It's a really kind and religious place with nice rooms and different ways to live like in a garden building or a tall building. Most of the time, people living there have to put together events. The buildings are pretty-looking and kept up well. It's a good deal for the cost.

"Top Choice for Rehab and Care on a Budget"
My buddy had a really bad time at a different nursing place, so we looked around before we picked Westminister Manor Health Center. This place is way better than the others around here. It’s super clean, and the people who work here are usually smiling and ready to help, even if they get a bit stressed sometimes. The rooms feel like home and don’t remind you of a hospital. The food’s pretty good, and you get to pick from lots of options. The therapists really push to make sure everyone gets better. I saw a not-so-great review that talked about mixing up people here for short stays with those who stay for a long time. I think they got this place confused with another one. Westminister is all about getting better and moving on, not staying for good.

"Westminster Manor is a wonderful place for care!"
The staff at Westminster Manor were amazing with my dad. They treated him with respect, kindness, and humor. It really felt like home because of the people there. He laughed and joked the whole time he was there. His room and the facility were clean, and the staff was quick to respond to any concerns we had. We were really happy with his care!

"Comfortable Assisted Living: Perfect Fit for Mom"
My mom and I looked at a bunch of places around here. She had a budget but could swing most. Some were fancier, but they made her feel weird. Then we went to this place, and she said it felt just right for her. , the person who showed us around, was nice, not pushy, and told us the truth. Suddenly, my mom got really excited about this new part of her life and all the choices she had instead of just the things she couldn't do. She's been living there for a few months now and has thanked me a bunch for nudging her into an independent living spot. I'm so glad she's happy and safe there.

"A Caring Home for Mom"
We had to move mom out because we couldn't manage at home anymore. The last place we tried was a big company all around town, but good care matters more than a famous name. We visited Westminster Manor Health Center and noticed how clean it was and how well the staff treated the residents. Sure, sometimes there are smells, but my bathroom isn't always fresh either, you know? But what matters is they include residents in daily activities, help with meals, and keep them involved. If you need help, just ask the staff—they're always ready to assist with any problem or question. They even invited us to all care plan meetings. It's tough not having mom at home anymore, but we're relieved she's here with such caring staff.

Advocate for my mom
"Abhorrent conditions! Steer clear of this spot."
If it was possible to give a zero, that's what they'd get from me. Just plain terrible! My mom came here for rehabilitation following a stroke. From the instant we walked in, the strong smell of urine hit us hard. It seems like the staff doesn't even notice it. Warehouse for both rehab and long-term care patients - not at all the setting my mom needed for her recovery. She literally asked if this was her permanent place. We assured her it was not, and she responded.. 'Thank God!' We were always left in the dark about key details like who her doctor was, what her treatment plan looked like, who her social worker was, and so on. We started making efforts to move her out ASAP. Mind you, when we asked for a tour before she was moved in, they conveniently left out this part of the facility. I implore you - steer clear from this place! I have so much more to say with loads of supporting examples (including documents and videos). Don't hesitate to reach out if you need more details...

"Mother Settling Well in Assisted Living, Some Improvements Needed"
My mom's getting used to the place, things are okay. She's making friends and joining activities. The place is clean, they tidy her room too. But when something breaks, it takes them a while to fix it. Mom's happy with the food, it's good for her.

"Assist Living Review: Mixed Feelings and Unclear Policies"
I'm not happy with how clear the medical care is at the assisted living place. Like, they're not clear on what kind of therapy they can do in-house or what needs outside help. Also, the communication with the main doctor isn't good, and they don't seem to get what the patients really need. I'm still confused about how they bill stuff like Medicare, pharmacy stuff, rent, and if the rates will go up. Gotta watch those costs closely. I'm starting to wonder if setting up Auto-Pay was a good idea.

"Mark Weaver is Amazing"
My dad has moved out of Westminster, but it wasn’t because of anything they did. He just didn’t want to live in assisted living anymore. Mark Weaver at Westminster was amazing—he really helped us. Everything about the community was wonderful; I can’t say enough good things about it.

"Nice place with great rehab and friendly residents"
I stayed in their rehab after my knee replacement and spent time with many of the assisted living residents. Overall, it's a very nice place with 3 or 4 dining rooms and great rehab. The staff did an excellent job. It's a bit expensive, but worth it if you can afford it.
