"Improved food and activities; cautious on care assessment accuracy."

The executive director is making a big effort to improve the food and activities. When assessing the level of care for residents, there's a point-based system without subjective aspects, leading to higher costs that, in my opinion, were inaccurate. The owner managed to provide some credit to resolve most of this issue.

"Assisted Living Review: Staff Kindness, Communication, and Food Quality"

The staff is really nice. They take care of people who need help with everyday things. Sometimes they talk to residents like kids, which my dad doesn’t like. Housekeeping is okay, but I wish it were more thorough. Communication with the family is great—they let us know about important stuff! The move-in process was smooth. The food is okay; it doesn’t always look great, and sometimes it’s not warm, but they’ll heat it up if you ask. Just remember, the all-day menu needs to be ordered ahead of time.

"Family Impressed by Addington Place of Alpharetta Tour Experience"

Our family visited Addington Place of Alpharetta in person and we were really impressed with the tour and the community. However, another community met all our needs perfectly.

"Friendly staff, limited common area."

It's nice, but lacks common area space. The food looks great, and the staff is very friendly.

"Keep Looking Elsewhere!"

The place keeps shifting bosses, so many old Directors have left. The whole system is completely out of line—they can ask you for any price and get away with doing just about anything they want. The people who are supposed to be taking care of the residents don't get paid enough and it's obvious in how they act and work. They're usually on their phones or chatting with each other and there's a new set of faces all the time. The residents are pretty much left to fend for themselves. You can even come into the building without anyone bothering to ask you anything. Most of the time there's nobody in their office. You're basically just paying heaps for a room and food. I moved my mom out and to a different state where people actually care.

"My Mother Being Cared for Well Here"

I think moving my mother here was a good choice. The staff is super, and I know she is being well cared for. They have been helpful and attentive to her needs. She has adjusted well and likes it here. It's a nice-looking community, and everything is well maintained. I know she is safe and in good hands. Overall, I would recommend this community.

"Good experience with this home care agency."

We used this home care agency for a while. Overall, it was a good experience. We had one problem with a caregiver, but we were happy with the service. I would think about using this home care agency again and recommend it to others.

"The Beginning for My Parents"

My parents felt safe and well-cared-for here. The place was clean, and they enjoyed the meals and activities. I’d recommend it.

"Nice Facility but Lacks Continuity"

This place is really nice, but they only offer mild memory care. So, if you're hoping for someone to stay put until the end, Benton House might not be your best choice. Moving from one facility to another can be a big deal, so always make sure to ask about end-of-life care options. Unfortunately, this facility doesn't offer that.

"Director's Leadership and Clean Spaces Shine in Assisted Living Community"

The director was great. He's organized and caring, with experience. He's a Citadel graduate, so likely very disciplined. The community is clean and welcoming, with beautiful common areas like the family kitchen and a small library/media center. It's on a busy street with no good views and has an interior courtyard without trees. The rooms are decent. Staff to resident ratio is 1 to 8. The staff is nice, and the cook is awesome. There's a memory unit for transitioning residents, which is a plus.

"Working Well"

They bring in different groups and try to keep residents happy. It'd be nice to have more menu variety, but it's super convenient for me to visit my mom. The staff turnover is low, which matters a lot.

"Nice Community with Price Concerns"

We visited this place while exploring senior living choices for a family member. It appeared to be a pleasant community—clean and with friendly staff. Our only worry was that it seemed a little pricey compared to other options nearby.

"Very pleased!"

We’ve had a great experience! My mother-in-law thrives in the memory care facility. The staff is friendly, and everything is clean and wonderful.

"It’s Very Expensive"

It’s very expensive, and the price goes up every month. My loved one has only been here for three months. Make sure to ask about the prices before placing a loved one here! There is an outside area for residents to enjoy. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I haven't had any concerns about the laundry or parking.

"Happy with it so far"

Very good so far. I’ve only been there for 4 days.

"Benton House: Thumbs Down for Pet Owners!"

My mom had been staying at this assisted living place, Benton House of Alpharetta, for almost 6 weeks when we got an unexpected surprise: not-so-friendly rules about her pet. Holly, who works there, told me they would welcome pets, but that wasn't really the case. Yes, they don't prohibit pets but they sure don't help with them either. I dealt with the boss, and the options he showed me were too expensive. Luckily, A Place for Mom directed me to Bickford of Alpharetta. My mom has been there for now over 8 months and it's great! They help so much with my mom's dog, even taking it for walks twice or thrice a day, and they don't ask for an extra dime. The staff and rooms at Benton House of Alpharetta are okay, but if you have a pet, don't go there. I definitely wouldn't suggest it.

"She and Team Excel at Caring"

We recently visited this assisted living facility and were really impressed. Director took the time to answer all our questions and was super patient with us. The facility itself is beautiful and really well taken care of. The residents seemed genuinely happy and content, and there was this warm, family-like feeling everywhere. The staff were all kind, helpful, and clearly knew and cared about each resident. Plus, the smaller size of the facility only added to the cozy, caring atmosphere.

"New Facility, but Prefer Experienced Ones"

Benton House is really nice. It's super new, which might appeal to many, but for me, it felt a bit inexperienced because of that. I personally prefer places that have been around longer. I didn't want my mom to be the first to try out a brand-new place that might still be figuring things out. It was a really pretty place. When you see it from the outside, it looks absolutely perfect, but that wasn't the most important thing for me.
