"Deterioration After Two Weeks at Arborwood"
I would highly advise against sending your loved one with Alzheimer's to Arborwood. This might be a place to consider if you're just looking for a roof over their heads, clothes cleaned, and meals on the table. Before my husband moved into Arborwood, he was walking independently, carrying on conversations, feeding himself, and taking care of his personal hygiene. But in under two weeks, I noticed startling changes in his condition. He became incoherent and was extremely dehydrated. He wasn't eating properly, he started requiring help to walk or even stand up, and he contracted an alarming staph infection along with a critical kidney infection. This all happened after he had suffered two serious falls, both occurring while being assisted by the caregivers working there, including those in management positions.

"Budget-Friendly Assisted Living"
I went to check out this place as a potential home. It looks like a good choice if you're on a budget. The staff is caring, and the rooms are a decent size. It has a cozy, family-like atmosphere, but there aren't many activities available.
