"Concerns Over Neglect and Poor Communication at Aspen Village"
The Lodge at Aspen Village is seriously lacking in fundamental areas such as cleanliness, dental hygiene, and overall quality of care. On a certain date, my husband was found soaking wet, seated on a pile of unused chairs. There had been no attempts to bathe him or even help with basic oral hygiene since I last saw him. His lack of energy was worrisome; he seemed as though he had been heavily sedated. He also had two medication patches on him; one dated on a specific day, with the other being illegible. According to information from a pharmacy brochure, the simultaneous use of more than one patch could be fatal. Despite my attempts to reach out to them, the administration refused to return my calls, except for one person. I would strongly advise against choosing this facility. There is a great need for them to hire additional healthcare workers, and the administrators must improve their communication with family members.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living Facility with Caring Staff"
My family and our loved one had a really good time at this place. The people who work here are nice, caring, and always ready to help. Everyone is friendly, too. It's a great place that is always clean and runs smoothly. They serve meals and plan activities for the people who live there. All in all, we think this is a great place to suggest to others for their loved ones.

"Bright and Cheerful Atmosphere Preferred"
We had a nice visit to The Lodge at Aspen Village. I decided not to choose this place because it felt dark and gloomy, and I was looking for somewhere bright and happy.

"Nice apartments, bad food, poor communication"
The apartments are very nice. They seem to have a lot of activities. I thought there would be more field trips. The food is almost not edible. None of my family could eat the food at a family event because it was served cold. I've tried contacting the director several times about this, but they haven't called me back.

"The Lodge: Big and Fancy, But Not Personalized Enough"
Our visit to The Lodge went well. It's a larger facility with many residents and all the fancy features. However, we were hoping for a smaller, more personalized place.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
The moment we stepped in, we felt this wasn't right. They were late, saying we weren't scheduled. A person not used to giving tours showed us around. It felt unwelcoming, no good vibes. The place looked nice though.

"Poorly organized tour led to overall disappointing visit."
We visited this place and it was really disappointing. They didn't start the tour on time and they didn't even know we were supposed to have one. Overall, it was just a bad time.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Not Recommended, Communication Issues Persist"
This place isn't what I expected. I knew visits would be limited due to COVID, but rules keep changing. Staff turnover is high, and the food has gotten worse. Trash piles up because they're short-staffed. Communication with families is lacking, and it's hard to get answers. The salesperson was helpful, but he's gone now. The manager is nice but not great at keeping us informed.

"Great place for seniors!"
My dad has been doing really well at Aspen Village. I think it's a good choice for your loved one. The food is tasty and there's always enough. The staff is super nice and always ready to assist the residents. The price you agree on when you move in covers everything.

"Aspen Village: Awesome Care"
I checked out several assisted living places before choosing Aspen Village for my mom. Some were cheaper and some more expensive. But from the moment I walked into Aspen Village, I could tell it was different. The staff is super friendly and really attentive to the residents. You might find fancier places, but in my experience, you won't find better care. It's very clean, and the food is excellent—I’ve eaten there. My mom had to move to memory care, and Aspen handled everything for the transfer. I didn't have to do anything. I feel she is getting excellent care. I’ve dropped by at different times and always found the staff professional and friendly.

"Two Thumbs Up for Aspen Village"
My Mom has been at Aspen Village for about 3 years now. She loves it, and so do I. It's clean, and the staff really cares. It's her home, and they care for her like family. Any minor issues I've had have been fixed right away by management.

"Revolted by Inadequate and Inhumane Care at Assisted Living Facility"
Absolutely terrible. More often than not, the higher-ups are missing when it comes to supervising the care of the folks living here. Even after countless messages, the management never gets back to me regarding my father's care. My dad has spent 13 months at this place, clearly too long. His overall care has been frightening. I took a visit for the past three weeks only to find him lying in bed. He was a mess, stuck in a gross diaper. Even twice, he had no diaper at all and his bedding was filthy. A fortnight ago, I found ants in his bed when I tried to tidy him up. And just last week, I was informed that he likely has C-Diff, unsurprisingly. I have reached out and lodged a complaint against this facility to the Georgia Department of Community Health. I strongly feel that even the Fulton County Humane Society treats their animals better. It wasn't me who picked this home. My brother did so for the sake of convenience. This place does not merit even a single star.

"Lack of Staff Attention Frustrates Possible Patron"
The lobby looks nice, but I got stuck waiting when I came to check it out for my parents. I was there over a quarter of an hour and there was no one at the front desk. Finally, a worker came in and I told her I was considering the place for my parents. She said she'd get someone for me and left. A little while after, an alarm from a resident's room started ringing and wouldn't stop. Around 10, someone else walked in and I told her about the alarm and that I was leaving after they knew about it. I also told her I was going to look at other places for my parents. There's no option for not applicable on this review site, so I gave a mid-level score for things that didn't apply to my visit.

"Simply Awful! Very Poor Assisted Living Facilities"
My grandma spent one year at Aspen. Initially, it wasn't too terrible, but things have taken a turn for the worse. The new boss can't handle things well. If you're fine with shelling out a bunch of cash for mediocre care, this might work for you. The staff doesn't promote good hygiene habits, and you're left in the dark about medication shortages. Plus, medication aid isn't even worth the extra $375 every month. When they wash her clothes, many items disappear and she gets other peoples' clothes. Watch your bills closely for repetitive salon charges. Meals also take forever to arrive. The staff doesn't know when they should call the family urgently. The lounge furniture is stained and smells like pee. This place is just bad news!! Fortunately, we've found a more affordable and way better option for grandma.

"Aspen Village: Pricey and Disappointing, Seek Alternatives"
My dad's been living at Aspen Village for roughly half a year now, and I must admit, is it far from what we were told to expect on the first visit. I'm really upset with how they've been helping him with personal care. Simply ensuring he gets regular haircuts have been a total hassle. The med techs are super kind and ready to help, but the higher-ups don't express the same courtesy. They don't return phone calls and don't help out when we ask them about services. I'd seriously suggest shopping around before deciding to move a loved one here. Mind you, it's not cheap at all.

"Aspen Facility: Mediocre with Communication Issues"
Aspen living facility is pretty much run-of-the-mill. Talking to the nurses and the managers is usually disappointing since they hardly ever return phone calls on the same day. I've never received a call back from the GM. On a positive note, the staff seem really nice and welcoming. The problem is, it's hard to find someone who can give updates about how our loved one is getting used to everything. We can't be there every day, you know. Some of us even live in a different state. That's why getting in touch is pretty important for us. We're hoping for some improvements.

"Not Meeting Expectations, Limited Care & Cleaning"
My aunt, who's 87, has stayed here for three months. So far, it isn't living up to its promises. The staff handling the food are exceptional though. However, the aids don't seem to care. A cleaning service only once a week? And they don't clean much. I suggest looking for another place. If you don't need help, it's a decent place since it's pretty. But if you do, think again.

"Outrageously Unqualified and Neglectful Assisted Living Facility"
Do not be fooled like I was. This place seems kind and considerate on the surface, but they lack the skills needed for their job. My mom fell early in the morning and was injured really badly, but no one even told me. I saw her injuries when I came to visit that afternoon, she had been there all day hurting. I ended up needing to get her an ambulance. The incident wasn't reported and the folks in charge didn't know anything. At the hospital, we found out about her leg and kidney infections. Her leg was really swollen and her support stockings were on incorrectly. This isn't the first time an incident like this has happened. For the money they charge, these things should never happen. Extremely unacceptable!

"Medication Process Needs Improvement, but Staff is Friendly"
The way they give out medicines needs to be better. They have the people who give out meds also doing other things, which makes them slow in giving the meds to us residents. But the people here are really nice and friendly.

The apartments here are really nice and cozy, and they keep them clean. The laundry service is excellent. While this isn’t about all the residents, my father has mentioned the food. I’d like to see some improvements there. Overall, it's a really nice place, and they are convenient and thoughtful towards us.

"Good facility with some staff changes to watch out for"
Overall, our experience with Aspen Village at Lost Mountain has been positive! The place is clean and well-maintained, and most of the staff are friendly and professional. They also do a great job with the food! My only worry is that since we moved our loved one in, there has been some staff turnover, and not all the new staff meet our expectations.

"Disappointing First Visit"
We didn't like the assisted living place we visited. When we went there, it had only been open for eight months, but the roof was already leaking. The carpets were wet, and some areas were blocked off for cleaning. The room they showed us was far away at the end of the hall. We only saw three people walking around.

"Abruptly Dismissed From Facility Over Pain Med Dispute!"
Don't let the nice building fool you. My 75-year-old dad, who has dementia, Alzheimer's, weighs 150 pounds, and has limited use of an arm. He couldn't even settle in. He had neck pain, but the nurses could only give him Tylenol, which didn't work. We kept asking for stronger pain meds, but they ignored us. When my dad threatened the staff out of frustration, which I understand isn't okay, they didn't solve the issue. Instead, they sent him to the ER. There, they informed the hospital they wouldn't be taking him back and to send him to Peachford for re-evaluation. But, Peachford was only told he wasn't welcome back and to find another place. This all happened just over pain medication. Staff told me he'd essentially been helping sell units in the memory care area because of his friendliness when families toured. Now, they just kicked him out. How nice. They didn't try to understand at all.
