"Quiet and Clean Assisted Living with Friendly Staff, Not Very Energetic"

I visited this place. It’s quieter, which can be good. We wanted more energy for our loved one. It’s really clean and the staff seemed nice.

"Misleading promises, decent staff, converted to apartments."

We chose this place because it's close, offers care, and promised fun activities, which didn't happen. It's okay, considering they have limited resources. The folks here are friendly. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying another Atria location. However, it's been turned into regular apartments instead of assisted living.

"Pricier but Worth It: Beautiful Facility with Caring Staff"

The building and grounds are beautiful. It's pricier than other places we looked at, but worth it for the nice facility and caring staff.

"Unpleasant Experience at Atria Buckhead Assisted Living Facility"

Atria Buckhead Misleads and Mistreats Assisted Living Residents" While Atria Buckhead may be licensed as a personal care facility, their staffing levels are minimal, contradicting the image they advertise. I was not told about their licensing status until after my mother was settled into the facility. The director informed me that I'd have to hire caregivers to look after my mother from 8:30 am to 10 pm. Just two months into her stay, an overworked med tech who also served as the assistant on her floor told my mother she went to the toilet too often at night and took her water away. The staff then intimidated my mother into silence, discouraging her from asking for help. The same med tech/assistant reacted rudely when I questioned the removal of my mother’s water, and the executive director called to demand I leave. My mother even felt threatened by the idea of retaliation. However, the med tech dismissively said she could come with me. We left the facility a couple days before Thanksgiving. Overall, Atria Buckhead misrepresented their facility and services, overworked their staff, gossiped, and mistreated residents. In particular, my 87-year-old mother. I reached out to their headquarters, but my complaint was ignored. Despite all this, they continue to invoice me every month.

"Assisted Living Facility Review Summary: A Mixed Experience"

This place is nice. The people who run it know a lot and care a lot. But it's more like living on your own than getting a lot of help. So, I had to pay extra for someone to help my mom every day. There aren't enough helpers here, and they seem tired. They don't always do a good job or act nice. The staff is supposed to help my mom at night and bring her breakfast, but sometimes they don't. We have a lot of trouble talking to the people who run this place and the staff. They cancel activities a lot, and we don't know when the trash gets picked up. Also, the air conditioning hasn't worked since we moved in, and we just got a key to our mailbox months later. I'm not sure how they manage my mom's medicine. It's good that this place is close to where I live because I have to visit a lot. Overall, my mom needs more help than this place can give. If your family member can do a lot on their own, this might be a good first step for them from living at home.

"Cozy and welcoming, could use brighter lighting in common areas."

Had a really nice visit. I enjoyed [Removed]. Maybe put in some brighter lights in the shared spaces. It's a bit dark in there. But overall, it's a great place!

"Warm and welcoming assisted living with great amenities and staff."

I was really impressed by how friendly the director was at this community. She knew a lot and gave my mom and me tons of helpful info during our tour. They had awesome activities and a restaurant-style menu for all residents at meal times. The whole place had a really nice vibe, and I felt at home right away.

"Mixed Experiences in Assisted Living Transition; Caring Community Environment"

Our experiences have been both good and challenging. My mom started in the assisted living area, but after a couple of wandering incidents, she's now in the memory care section. We're working through this adjustment with the community's support. It's a great place overall, and they're really trying their best to look after her. There are enjoyable activities available when she's up for them. The food is decent, though we prefer the dining downstairs. I wish they had assessed her more thoroughly to avoid the need for relocation.
