Belmont Village Buckhead

"Good for residents; visitor challenges noted, recommend for emergencies."
My friend lives at Belmont Village Buckhead. Housekeeping is good. Most staff are nice, though less so on night shifts. Communication with family is okay, but residents need their own phone. Parking is scarce, and meal costs are high. It's better to bring fast food for visits. Despite visitor challenges, I recommend it for emergency care and medical transport.

"Headline: "Neglectful Care and Unfair Pricing at Belmont Village Buckhead""
Do not trust Belmont Village Buckhead with your loved ones. My family member was there for only three days and two nights after spending time in the hospital. I had faith that they'd care for him properly, but it didn't seem like he received food or water throughout his stay. During his time there, he had a fall from his wheelchair which landed him in another hospital severely underweight and seriously dehydrated. Not to mention, we paid a significant sum for their services and got less than half back when he was only there for three days. I'm thinking about taking legal action. They didn't just fail to provide acceptable care, they harmed my family member who sadly passed away on Saturday, partly due to their neglect.

"Social Engagement Lacking at Belmont Village of Buckhead"
During our visit to Belmont Village of Buckhead, we met a really great Director of Resident Activities, which was awesome. However, as we checked out the facility, we noticed something missing. There wasn't much interaction or involvement with the residents. We saw an activity happening, but not many folks were joining in. A bunch of residents seemed to be in their rooms, and we were hoping for more social interaction for our loved one, with people mingling around.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Quality and Staff Retention"
When we first arrived, the place was nice, but now it's not as good. The café changed a lot, the food isn't as good, and the menu seems like cafeteria food. Plus, they can't keep staff for very long.

"Horrific Mistreatment of Elderly Alzheimer's Patient at Belmont Village"
A terrifying event in my life is still fresh in my memory. I can't forget the sight of my 90-year-old dad, who has dementia, getting harmed at Belmont Village, a place where he was supposed to receive caring attention. The people in charge there didn't know how to handle those suffering from dementia properly. They didn't know how to calm down a frightened Alzheimer's patient. Instead, they treated my dad in a horrible way. To quote the director's exact words: "If you won't come now and pick up your father, we'll make the police do it." Honestly, this isn't made up. When I reached there, the police were already present. My dad, who is aged 90 and was scared, was crying on the corridor floor outside his room, unclothed and bruised. He was calling out for his mother. He was hurt and lonely. There was no sign of regret from anyone there, not even from the administration. All they wanted was for him to leave, as though we hadn't paid $4500 every month for the last 18 months. I was so saddened to see my dad, once a brave WW2 soldier, now a weak and scared old man. I couldn't believe a care facility could treat a dementia patient so badly. My dad has passed away now. I write this review and still hold great admiration for the wonderful person my dad was, even during his Alzheimer's struggle. I hope whoever reads this will think twice before allowing Belmont Village to care for their elderly parent.

"Belmont Village Lacks Empathy And Understanding for Alzheimer's Patients"
I can barely start to get over the awful experience of trusting the team at Belmont Village to look after my dad. The embarrassment and humiliation he went through was something I never thought could happen. My dad had dementia, and as he tried to make sense of the confusing, constantly changing world around him, the staff showed nothing close to the understanding that Alzheimer's patients need to feel secure. I could overlook some ignorance, but the lack of kindness from the management made everything worse. If you have a parent who needs care, I advise against choosing Belmont Village.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living for Mom"
The visit taught me a lot. I'm not sure if it's the right fit for Mom's needs at the cost I can handle. They focus on social activities and mental exercises for older folks, which is good.

"“Safe, Friendly Assisted Living”"
The food is yummy and healthy. Everyone—residents and staff—is friendly. My mom gets good care. The place is clean and organized. Even though she’s not joining activities right now, they’re available. Most importantly, I feel my mom is safe.

"A Caring Community with Great Staff and Warm Atmosphere"
My brother and I searched for nearly a year to find the best place for our mom. We moved her into Belmont this year, and we've been really happy with everything. It's not the biggest or flashiest place, but it has a warm, family-like feeling. Everyone, from the concierge to the caregivers, is always smiling and seems genuinely happy to be there. The rooms are just the right size, and the food is great. We didn’t have to deal with pushy salespeople. The Director called us the day after our visit to make sure everything went well and offered to help with our decision. Thanks to the Belmont team, mom’s quality of life has improved. The head nurse and director work together, visiting daily to guide the staff and encourage the residents. The managers even join in on fun activities like karaoke. If you have the same experience we did, I’m sure you’ll be very happy with this community.
