"Nice place, but staff turnover is high"
It's a very nice community. The rooms are clean, the dining is nice, and the food is served to them. There are activities available. They are very informative and helpful. We picked this community because they were the most helpful during the transition, and everything went smoothly. I just wish they could keep their staff. It seems like they can't find good help, and when they do, they leave.

"Spacious Rooms and Good Service for the Price"
This place is okay for what you're paying. The rooms are big, and we'd tell others to check it out for help with living.

"Assisted Living Disappointment: Not Suitable for Medical Needs"
My mom was at Brookdale Augusta for just 10 weeks. The staff promised a lot but didn't deliver. Before she moved in, I explained everything about her health and what care she needed. But they couldn't take care of her medical needs properly. I'd only suggest this place for someone who just needs help with meals, cleaning, laundry, and making friends. It's not a good choice for people with dementia, who need careful medicine management, or help in the bathroom. The staff is nice, but being nice doesn't keep patients safe.

"Friendly atmosphere, engages residents; location and space issues noted."
The staff and residents seemed friendly and happy. They work hard to keep residents involved. The location, tucked behind a business district, and the dark, small spaces were drawbacks for my father, who is sensitive to that. It's also far from where I'll be living.

"Great Staff, But Location and Space Concerns"
The staff were friendly, and residents seemed content. They put effort into keeping residents active. However, I didn't like the tucked-away location behind a business district. The small, dark spaces were a concern for my father. Also, it's quite far from where I'll be living.

"Satisfactory Visit"
My family and I had a nice tour of this place, and everything went smoothly. The community looked really good based on what we saw. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. They answered our questions, and everyone was nice to us. The atmosphere around the community felt cozy and welcoming. The resident we met was also very pleasant. The only problem was that the room they showed us was small. Overall, it was a good experience, but it's not the right place for my father.

"Fantastic Facility Tour Experience!!"
I had a really good time touring this place for my loved one. The staff were punctual and answered all our questions thoroughly. They had awesome amenities and the dining room was nice for everyone. It wasn't the perfect fit for my wife, but I'd suggest it to others who are looking.

My mother loves living in this community. Everything has gone well, and I feel good about her moving here. The staff is wonderful, very kind, and helpful. They keep everything clean, and it always looks great when I visit. They serve nice meals and offer good activities for the residents. I've already told my friends to check out this place; it’s really nice!

"A general overall review of Brookdale"
Everyone is super friendly and caring. The food is usually great, and the place is beautiful and clean. The residents seem really happy. They have lots of activities, but the movies are mostly for women. Overall, it’s the best facility we looked at, and it’s reasonably priced. Perfect for my father-in-law.

"Good Place Overall, But Had Some Initial Issues"
My mom is doing okay at this assisted living place. She's slowly getting comfortable in her surroundings, and things seem fine for the most part. However, in the beginning, there were some hiccups. Some promises were made to us that haven't been kept which caused us a bit of trouble. Thankfully, we've been able to hash out most of these problems. Outside of these small issues, my aunt really likes her place here too. The people working there are pretty cool and very attentive. Their food isn't too bad, they offer tasty meals. They've been pretty accommodating whenever we've needed something. Despite a few bumps in the road, I'd suggest this place to others.

My mom's been happy here since day one! She has a nice, spacious room with big windows. She loves playing bingo and has won a lot of stuffed animals. The food is delicious, and the place feels warm and friendly. The staff is great, especially Nick, who really took his time with us.

"Feels like family, with lots of activities!"
The accommodations and food are good, but what makes this place stand out from other facilities in the Augusta, GA area is how they treat their residents like family. They really focus on helping residents stay socially active, mentally strong, and have fun. There are also more activities than I expected, and they plan them out well.

"Emergency cord didn't work, needs better communication"
They have an emergency cord, but it wasn't working. I think it would be better if they told the residents more about what's going on since they didn't have any orientation. I liked that they seemed more flexible about keeping couples together as they move along, better than other places I saw. I have eaten the food, and it's pretty good.

"A Caring Home Away from Home"
Brookdale Place welcomed my mom with open arms. They help her stay active so she can socialize with others. The nurses are very caring and make her feel right at home. She even says it feels like she’s on vacation.

"This is It!"
They have plenty of activities but could use a space for disabled people to exercise. There isn't enough area for them to walk around and get exercise. The parking is a little crowded but not horrible. The food is really good and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous. When I visited, I knew this was the place for us. Very pleased with everything they offer.
