"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Assisted Living Facility"
We moved my mom to Brookdale last July to be nearer to family. They promised an ambassador to show her around, but no one ever did. She stayed mostly in her room, only coming out to eat. She liked the food and service a lot better than her old place. However, there were some mistakes with her medicine, and she got very sick once, needing a trip to the hospital. They didn’t call us to see how she was doing during her 8-day stay there. We did get a visit from a new nurse, who was friendly, but only after my sister called to ask if they even cared. Unfortunately, she passed away suddenly, and since then, we haven’t heard a word from them. They knew she wouldn’t be coming back because my sisters moved all her things out. They seemed nice when they wanted us to move her in, but once they had our money, things changed. They told us there was a special deal that day and we had to commit financially right away. We ended up paying for 1.5 months when she wasn’t even there and still had to pay the old place. We had high hopes, but we’re really let down.

"A Welcoming and Clean Assisted Living Facility"
We toured the facility with the director and liked the layout, although the rooms were a bit small for my dad’s taste. It was a plus that he knew some of the residents since he lives nearby. The head chef warmly greeted us, and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group. The facility was clean and well-maintained. Ultimately, my father chose a different place.

"Rent Increase and Quality Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
I just got a notice saying my rent will go up by $196.00 every month, reaching $3,923.00. This will be tough for some of us. We're not happy about the food; it keeps getting worse, and it's really bad. They don't have enough staff, and the servers try their best. Someone's stealing from us, too. There's more to say, but others will speak up too.

"Rent Hike and Bad Food at Our Assisted Living Home"
I just got a notice that starting next month, they're gonna bump up the rent here by $196.00. That's gonna make it $3,923.00 per month. This news is going to be tough for some of us to take. Another thing is we are not happy with the meals here; they're just getting worse and worse. I can't even begin to explain how bad it's gotten. They don't even have enough staff here, and the folks that serve our food are doing the best they can, considering. There's someone among us that we think is a thief. I've run out of space writing this, but trust me, you'll be hearing from more of us soon.

"Outstanding Care and Renovations Make Horizon Bay a Top Choice"
I moved my sister to Horizon Bay 8 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier. Every day, there are plenty of activities for her to choose from. The facility is currently being fully renovated, and it’s going to look even more amazing than before. I liked how it looked before, but the colors were a bit outdated, and they’re quickly fixing that with new carpet, new furniture, and NO wallpaper! The staff really goes above and beyond to make sure my sister is comfortable and has everything she needs. If she’s not feeling well, they bring her meals until she’s ready to join the dining room again. The food is absolutely AMAZING! There’s a huge menu to pick from at every meal, and she can eat anytime from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. I highly recommend Horizon Bay for anyone looking for a great home away from home for their loved ones.

"My sister LOVES her new home!"
I moved my sister into Horizon Bay 8 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. There are lots of activities she can choose from every day. The place is getting a complete makeover and it’s going to look even better than before. I liked how it looked before, but the colors were a bit old-fashioned.
