"Assisted Living with Pleasant Staff and Lovely Residents, Room for Meal Improvement"

The staff at this assisted living place is really nice and friendly. The people who live here are also very nice. The building itself is lovely. The food could be better, though.

"Assisted Living Facility Earns 4 Stars with Room for Improvement"

At Dunwoody Place, my mom enjoys many positives. Since she requires more attention than most residents, I wish the care could be more proactive.

"Caring Staff and Respectful Treatment at Dunwoody Place"

My 102-year-old mother faced challenges during her transition to Dunwoody Place. While there, she found a friendly Asian couple, but still felt isolated. The staff listened to her needs and were kind to both of us during her final days on hospice. They even forgave extra fees after her passing. Although the activities weren’t her cup of tea, the personal care model worked well for her. Most importantly, she was treated with dignity and respect.

"Mixed Review for Dunwody Place Assisted Living"

Dunwody Place is a nice place. They have a good group for physical therapy that comes to the facility. The staff at Dunwoody Place are friendly and helpful. However, the meals could be better. If someone doesn’t want the regular meal, they can order a hamburger, hotdog, or grilled cheese. But sometimes it’s hard to get those other options. Maybe they don’t have enough staff?

"Lacking Amenities: Dunwoody Place Falls Short"

We visited Dunwoody Place, but they didn't impress us. They didn't provide three meals a day, five days a week, which we were looking for. Also, no free gym memberships like other places. Overall, it didn't meet our needs due to the limited amenities.

"Friendly, Caring Assisted Living at Dunwoody Place"

We picked Dunwoody Place because everyone was super friendly during our tour. The staff, residents—everyone—was just awesome. My loved one made friends right from day one. She’s not big on activities, but if they had Mahjong, she’d definitely play. The staff really care about the residents. We’re satisfied, and I’d recommend them to others.

"Not Quite the Right Fit"

I enjoyed the community, but it didn't work for my loved one because of the rules.

"Assisted Living Facility: Mixed Experience, Improvement Needed"

Not sure yet. My mom's been there two months. She's said four times she went to activities on the calendar, but no one showed up. She told staff, but they didn't help. Sometimes, there aren't enough staff to serve meals, so the manager has to help. The salads have wilted lettuce. We're paying for help with bathing, but they're not coming. My mom shouldn't have to bathe herself. I'm worried about safety after hearing about problems at other homes. The activities are good when they happen, and my mom likes the music and exercise classes. She's made friends, which is a relief. But they need to fix these issues for me to feel she's safe. Today, she waited for help with her bath for 20 minutes, but no one came. She had to try to bathe herself. This lack of respect for the elderly is concerning. If they don't take care of these things, will they neglect other important tasks, like bathing? We need to know they're taking care of our loved ones.

"Assisted living is costly; residents are elderly."

The place is too pricey, and everyone there is super old.

"Too Expensive and Small Rooms"

I'm not interested in moving to an independent or assisted living facility right now. I also don't want an all-inclusive package with 3 meals, laundry, and housekeeping. It's too expensive for my budget. The 1-bedroom is very small and doesn't have enough natural light. The 2-bedroom is better but still too expensive.

"Decent Community, but Meals and Care Need Improvement"

My wife recently moved into this community and she’s mostly happy. She adjusted easily and has made some friends with the other residents. However, she has a few complaints. The meals need improvement because they never get her order right and the food quality isn’t great. Also, I’m disappointed that the staff have somehow broken three of her hearing aids, which she really needs.

"Steer Clear: Untrustworthy Management, High Staff Turnover, Rampant Issues"

Steer clear of this establishment, folks. There's a complete absence of leadership, with people in charge often telling fibs. Many of the employees are quitting and there's no one heading the place. They're often operating with not enough staff.

"Poor Service and Lack of Safety at Brookdale Dunwoody"

Avoid Brookdale Dunwoody! As of March 1st, there hasn't been any change for the better in their meals. Just yesterday, my mom or dad had to wait for 40 whole minutes just to get their dinner main dish. When it's time for the evening meal, they always seem to run out of soup and dessert. There's no measures being put in place to ensure the safety of the people living there. The front door remains unlocked during night hours and there's nobody stationed at the reception or in the lobby. Since the holidays, lots of folks have moved out due to the negligence of the folks in charge.
