"Facility with Nice Staff Needs Improvement in Apartment Amenities"
The staff at this place is friendly, and the building is nice too. The problem is, when my relative moved into his apartment, the lighting was dusty. He lives in a handicapped apartment and uses a wheelchair, but they gave him a top load washer instead of the front loader we requested when he moved in last October. He still hasn't received the correct one.

"Feels like a small town with good food and friendly residents"
Celebration Village Acworth feels more like a small town than a nursing home or assisted living place. The food there is really good. The other people who live there are nice and try to make friends with new people. It costs a lot of money to live there, but it's definitely worth it. I just wish the staff had encouraged my aunt more to take showers and eat in the dining room instead of staying in her room.

"Not Very Open, but Nice Enough"
Our family visited the place in person. Our loved one didn't feel very impressed. It was okay, just not as open as we hoped.

"Community Distance Concerns"
The community is nice, but it's too distant from loved ones.

"Awful Care Center Experience: Residents Ignored and Over-Medicated"
This care center appears great initially. However, after making multiple visits to our mom at different times of the day, we've noticed some pretty unsettling behavior. The staff appears friendly when family or visitors are present. But when they think nobody is watching, it's a whole other matter. During my many visits over the past three months, I've seen staff members completely disregard residents who clearly need their attention. If your loved one is in the memory care unit, the staff seem keen on just medicating them until they're practically slumped over in their chairs. Thankfully, we were able to remove our mom from there. I believe if a business can't offer terrific care and service, they should close their doors and try something different. So, to those with aging family members, choose your care facility meticulously and steer clear of this one. My mom is now alert and doing significantly better since leaving.

"Celebration Staff Changes Impact Memory Care: Recommendation Withdrawn"
My dad stayed at this assisted living place for half a year, and things were good until he died. The staff were understanding and caring. Now, it's different. They keep changing the staff, and they're not doing the simplest care. The memory care section, where my dad was and where my friends are now, feels like it's just an extra thing. Some workers are gruff and unkind. Folks with Alzheimer’s need consistency, but that doesn't seem to matter here anymore. If you run a memory care place, your staff need to be patient, alert, and kind. They charge a lot of money and some staff aren't doing simple things like keeping patients clean, or making sure they eat and drink enough. It's a hard job, but these are people and they’re relying on Celebration to care for them. This place needs to do everything possible to keep good staff and get rid of the bad ones. I wouldn't suggest their memory care to anyone these days.

"Mother Easily Forgets Amidst Lack of Facilities' Communication"
I haven't been able to speak to my mom ever since she was moved to the memory care section at Celebration Village in Acworth, which was about 3 months ago. I stay in Salt Lake City and every time I call, the staff at Celebration Village make believe as if they're trying to connect me to my mom. I'm certain of this because once, I heard a nurse telling the receptionist, "They don't want me talking to her." I wonder who they mean when they say "they" don't want my mom speaking to me. My brother mentioned that our mom really wants to leave the facility but he doesn't visit. Even though he lives nearby, my mom sees him as her "only hope of escape." He told me they don't let her use the phone because she might call her lawyer. He suggested that I fly over if I really want to know what's happening. I think I got a few silent calls from an "Unknown Number" which I suspect have something to do with the facility. Could it be that they're preventing my mom from calling me even though she remembers my number? Apparently, my mom can't leave unless a family member comes to pick her up. All I wish for is to be able to video chat with her and know how she's doing. My 10-year-old daughter deeply misses her grandma. The last time we connected via FaceTime was on Mother's Day and my mom recognized me and my daughter without anyone needing to remind her.

"Spacious Rooms, Great Location, Fun Activities, Regular Therapy!"
This place has big rooms, which is nice. It's in a good location, so you can easily go places. There are lots of things to do here, and they even have physical therapy available five days a week. Overall, it's a pretty good spot!

"Chaotic Construction Delays Assisted Living Facility's Opening"
This place will be good. But right now, it's still a big construction site. They've moved their office to the site, but it really isn't ready yet. The place is like a battlefield. They don't have any show homes to look at anymore. There are building cranes everywhere, dirt, a ton of workers, and there's no parking at all. It's not on schedule. They're now planning to open in late March or early April.
