"Great Experience at Laurel Glen Assisted Living"
My brother or sister lives at Laurel Glen at Carrollton Assisted Living, and it's been really good. Moving them in was smooth. The place feels homey and nice. It's always clean and neat. The people who work there are super nice, really helpful, and know what they're doing. The food looks like it's great quality. I'd for sure tell others to think about Laurel Glen at Carrollton for their family too.

"Comfortable and Safe Assisted Living in Familiar Community"
Patience is key when dealing with corporate-owned, for-profit nursing and senior living facilities, especially if you're in the middle to upper-middle-income brackets. Those in the lower-middle-income range or below might not have as many options unless Medicaid covers their care. There are various types of care available, depending on your financial situation. Laurel Glen at Carrollton feels cozy and secure. It's a part of my community where I've lived for 40 years; it's older and has been around for many years. I feel at ease with their care; it's the perfect place for me.

"“Laurel Glen: A Typical Nursing Home”"
I didn’t think Laurel Glen was great when we visited. The place felt like a regular nursing home.

"Convenient Location and Friendly Atmosphere"
This assisted living facility has a great location. The people who work there and the people who live there are all nice, and it seems like a nice place to live. The food choices and the activities they offer are good for older people. The apartments where you can live by yourself are a bit old-fashioned, and they might be better for people who are more active because the showers don't have benches and the doors are narrow. Another thing that's not so good for my parents is that they have to walk from their apartment to where everyone eats and does activities because it's in a different building.

"Memory Care Needs Not Met at Nice Assisted Living Facility"
We visited this place and it was really nice. The tour was great, but they didn't offer the memory care our loved ones require. So, this community didn't match what we were looking for.

"Assisted Living Review: Be Informed Before Choosing Cottage Landing"
I think it's important for people checking out Cottage Landing to actually see the apartment they're going to rent and discuss any problems with someone in charge, making sure it's all written down. The info they give you before moving in should be talked about and followed through. We were told we could pick between laminate flooring and carpet, but what we got was a cheap vinyl rug. There were a lot of differences between what we were told and what we got. We pay for three meals every day, but the menu repeats every 5-6 weeks, and we usually only get to eat two meals a week off that schedule. They weren't ready for us, and our experience hasn't been very good.

"Excellent Care and Personal Touches at Cottage Landing Assisted Living"
My parents lived at Cottage Landing for several years. They began in a big one-room unit, then moved to a one-bedroom with a living room and kitchen when it became available. After my father passed away, my mom moved into a one-room unit with a bathroom. Later, she moved in with another senior, hoping they’d enjoy each other’s company. Overall, it was a positive experience. They were great about my creative ideas, like organizing a surprise anniversary dinner in a private space with a personal chef, a violinist, and a singer. When my mom wanted my 11-year-old grandson, who performed with the Atlanta Boy Choir, to give a concert for the residents, I hired a piano accompanist, and everyone enjoyed it. They also helped with my mom’s yard sale, even though it was a lot of work. The staff always kept me informed if my parents fell or needed to go to the ER. The medical staff was excellent, providing regular updates on their health. After I moved out of state, they kept me even more updated. I did consider moving my mom closer to me, but her health was declining, so we decided against it. Like any facility, there were some problems, such as losing my mom’s wedding ring, which was heartbreaking. However, I don’t think my mom was too upset as she was already dealing with dementia. Would I recommend Cottage Landing? Yes, I definitely would and have!

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvements"
The carpet was dirty and the place smelled bad. The rooms looked old. The lighting in the halls was bad. There were only 2 one-bedroom apartments, so it might take a long time to get one. The large private and semi-private rooms didn't have kitchenettes, and they didn't provide a refrigerator or microwave. But the cookies were really good.

"Good place - but not for mom"
This place is good if you can take care of yourself or just need a little help. My mom has been staying here for almost 2 years, but she needs a place with fewer people and more personal care. They have lots of things for the residents to do and I recommend you take a tour. However, I've found a smaller care home that suits my mom better.

"A Home Away from Home for Our Mom"
When my mom’s health and emotions started to get worse, my family and I had to find her a new “home.” We were all very dedicated to her, and after visiting a few places where my sister and I cried, we found Cottage Landing in Carrollton, GA. As soon as we arrived, my sister and I looked at each other and said, “This is it.” It felt like a home away from home. From the first day, the staff loved my mom and went out of their way to get to know her. They made her feel welcome right away, which eased our fears. She passed away after only four months there, and we all wish she could have spent more time with such loving and caring staff.

"Unimpressed by disorganization and neglect at assisted home"
When my dad needed a place to live, we decided to check out this assisted living spot. We had an appointment but we still waited around 15 minutes in the entrance before anyone spoke to us. When a lady finally showed up, she seemed clueless and really didn’t have her stuff together about what the place offered. While we were there, we noticed a resident sitting by herself in a TV area. No one was talking to her and it was a little alarming. We ended up leaving before the tour was over.

"Mixed feelings about Cottage Landing"
Cottage Landing is a pretty modern place. The community areas are well-maintained, but the rooms weren't cleaned properly. They had dust, cobwebs, and dirty floors. The community has a nice open feel. The staff who gave the tour knew a lot, but they didn't dress appropriately for the place.

"Comfortable Living for Light Care Needs"
This community suits those not needing much care. My husband's adjusting. It's clean and pretty with open rooms to the common area. Sometimes laundry isn't done, but staff are generally good. They lack qualification for Alzheimer's care, but the activities director is excellent. Food is balanced and tasty. Overall, it's a nice place.

"Mixed Experience at Cottage Landing Senior Living - Carrollton, GA"
I picked this place. It's nice, folks are friendly. Rooms surround a big area where everyone hangs out, no loneliness. BUT, my issue is he gets upset when changed and wanders at night. Staff got frustrated and suggested looking elsewhere. Things have improved since, but I might need to explore other options if they can't handle him. I also feel like the caregivers there need more training for dealing with tough patients.

"Peace of mind for your loved ones"
My mom has been living at Cottage Landing for a few years now, and I'm really happy with it. The staff is super friendly and caring (even when she's not). She's moving to their Memory Care Unit tomorrow, and that will be a big relief for me. Even in Memory Care, they make sure she has privacy and dignity. When she needs something and I can't be reached, they handle it themselves (like getting her diapers). This place has been a blessing. I know no place is perfect, but I have no complaints. I'm a nurse, and I feel very comfortable leaving my mom in their care.

"Personal care during death of friends"
My mom has lived here for a few years now. She keeps getting personalized, professional care. When one of her close friends recently passed away, the staff and management showed they understand how hard this is for the residents. Thanks for your care and concern.

"Wonderful home for my parents"
My parents have been at Cottage Landing for 9 months, and we are very happy. The place is clean, well-kept, and welcoming. They serve good meals and have lots of activities. The best part is the management and staff. Brian, Denise, Brenda, and many others are kind and caring people who work hard to make Cottage Landing a great place to live.

"Great place for Grandma!"
The food is okay, but they could do a better job of telling residents about other options. The staff is attentive. Grandma is still getting used to living here. They have lots of activities, and the community is clean.

"New assisted living with friendly staff, excellent care, and more!"
I really like the place! The people who work there are super nice! They just built a new memory care center, it's really nice. The food is yummy, and they clean every day, which is awesome. They're getting more people to work there since they just started, but everything's been really good.

"Unbearable Stench and Depressing Sight at Assisted Living Facility!"
The place was just awful! The stench, the likes of which I can't explain, was unbearable. Even when an alarm went off, the repair guy simply switched it off without even inspecting it. We attended church services and it was heartbreaking to see people, apparently fastened to their chairs, slouching, displaying no signs of happiness or life whatsoever.
