"Horribly Neglected Mother at Deceptive Daybreak Village Facility"

My mom spent almost two years at Daybreak Village in Kennesaw, Georgia. For nine months, she was in regular care despite her dementia and then shifted to the Memory Care Unit. However, the care in this unit was awful. They often ignored her needs, like assisting her to the bathroom and changing her. She got injured, especially without her sitter around. It was noticeable that their staff kept changing and was often low. They also introduced new residents in her unit without any quarantine, which was weird. I talked with the director and owner about this, but they did nothing. After two years, I finally moved my mom. Her new place provides much better care compared to Daybreak. I urge everyone - avoid Daybreak Village! The care and food are terrible. They appear more focused on getting more residents and they did not take my mom seriously once we signed her in. Shockingly, they even had COVID in the facility, didn't report it to the state, and only admitted it when my mom tested positive and I complained to the health department. Daybreak is untruthful and does not keep its promises. Our elderly folks should get respect and dignity!

"Understaffed, Unsupervised, and Uninviting Assisted Living Facility"

This place needs better background checks for caregivers. A relative was there and a felon was caught working there. The place looks nice but caregivers are often overwhelmed and there's no management support. When moving to memory care, it got worse – people not being watched, dirty floors, caregivers gossiping. Caregivers are overworked, and some have quit. We need better rights for paying customers and the elderly.

"Disorganized and disappointing experience at DayBreak facility."

My mom is 91 and has dementia. We used DayBreak for daycare sometimes and it was fine. But when we put her in respite care for a vacation, it was a mess. We arrived on time, but had to wait for the administrator. Then they put my mom in a room with two other people, even though they said they'd send a picture of her in her own room.

"Great Staff and Atmosphere"

This place is lovely, and the staff is super nice. The food smells amazing! Unfortunately, it might not suit us since we need a two-bedroom, but overall, it’s great.

"Friendly Staff and Cozy Atmosphere Despite Slight Scheduling Issue"

We came for our appointment on time, but the director wasn't there to meet us. Instead, a staff member showed us around the place and gave us the director's contact info for any questions or pricing details. The facility was really clean and had a cozy feel to it.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

My loved one is doing well since moving here. The staff are great to work with, and I trust the care they give her. She likes the meals and joining activities with others. I would recommend it.

"Helpful Staff and Healthy Choices, But Needs More Cheerfulness"

I toured this community for care. The staff answered all our questions about the care they offer. The place seemed a bit dark inside, and we would have liked it to be a bit more cheerful. They had a nice menu and a good list of activities that seemed like healthy choices. I would recommend this community to other families depending on their needs for care for a loved one.

"Amazing Staff and Smooth Transition for Mom"

We had picked another place but stopped by to compare prices. After the tour, we were amazed. The lady showing us around knew a lot and wanted to help us, not just sell her place. The staff here really care about what they do. My mom has adjusted better than we thought she would.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

My mom is doing okay since moving here. She seems happy, and we're pleased with everything they've done. Everything is going well. They take good care of her and her needs. They give me peace of mind knowing she's safe and in good hands. I would recommend this community; it's good for my family.

"Unimpressed by Two-Bedroom Design and Tight Common Spaces"

I wasn’t happy with the two-bedroom setup. The shared spaces felt too tight.
