"Problems with Meals and Billing"
The residents who didn’t eat in the dining hall often got their meals up to two hours late. My biggest problem was with their accounting. My mom was charged twice for her stay, and there was an extra charge that was never explained. Luckily, her bank refunded the extra charge, and the facility reversed the second charge. She doesn’t want to stay there again because of the meal delays and billing issues.

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living with a Foodie Vibe"
We chose this place because it's clean, has fun activities, and the food smells good. The staff is nice, but it's best to have your own doctor.

"Clogged gutters and trip hazard during heavy rain"
When I visited my mother-in-law during heavy rain, the gutters were overflowing because the downspouts were clogged. This caused flooding around the building. Also, the sidewalk on the left front of the building is raised up by roots from a magnolia tree, making it a trip hazard.

"Family feel, personalized care, excellent"
It feels like a family or a small community. Every staff member gets to know each resident and their needs. That means a lot to our family. It's excellent.

"Mixed Experience at Sodalis Community"
Sodalis Community has some really nice people among staff and residents. There's lots of laughter and the greeter at the desk is especially friendly. The place is bright and clean, which I like. Most of the staff impress me because it takes a special person to handle different illnesses and attitudes. I sat in on a meeting and learned that pleasing everyone isn't easy, but giving a little more attention can make a big difference. This applies everywhere in life. I appreciate your outings, but I'm concerned about cleanliness. There was a dead roach on a counter for a month; please address this promptly. I pay extra for additional assistance as [name removed] is declining. When I visit, I help out with tasks like showering and cleaning his room in between scheduled cleanings. It's challenging, but being here has been good for him because he wasn't socializing much at home and was becoming destructive. Taking care of him feels like taking care of a baby sometimes, which is exhausting. I've cared for people my whole life, including my parents, and this situation has been tough. It took a year to get home care, and I know soon he'll need a nursing home because Medicare doesn't cover enough for home care. Despite the challenges, I appreciate all you do at Sodalis Community. It might have saved my life, but I hate that his life is still difficult. No place is perfect because none of us are, but I see you strive to be the best. Your positive and caring energy is evident, although I've seen a few who seem unhappy. I'm old-fashioned; I always aim to do my job well, no matter what it is. Thank you again for your efforts.

"Good for residents; visitor challenges noted, recommend for emergencies."
My friend lives at Belmont Village Buckhead. Housekeeping is good. Most staff are nice, though less so on night shifts. Communication with family is okay, but residents need their own phone. Parking is scarce, and meal costs are high. It's better to bring fast food for visits. Despite visitor challenges, I recommend it for emergency care and medical transport.

"Assisted Living Review: Excellent Service and Care, Recommended for Families"
The sales lady was really great, giving us a good first impression. We liked Sodalis Martinez but especially their shuttle service. Our loved one has a scooter, and this community arranged doctor trips using their transportation, even sending a nurse with them. Based on our experience, we'd suggest this community to other families.

"Father Thriving in This Wonderful Community!"
This community is great for my father and his needs. Since he left rehab and moved here, he has been doing much better. I feel really good about his move here; they are taking great care of him. The staff is nice and they meet all our needs. They keep everything clean and nice when I visit. There are fun activities offered, and he enjoys the meals. It's also a convenient place for us to visit. Everything has worked out really well since my father's move to this community, and I would definitely recommend it.

"Caring Community with Room for Improvement"
This place is pretty nice. The people who work here are friendly and really seem to care about the residents. It's clean, but could be a bit better. The food is great and there's lots of different stuff to choose from. They also take residents on trips outside, which is cool. Overall, it's a good place to be.

"Great Staff and Amenities!"
I had no complaints about the tour I took at this place for my loved one. The staff were on time for our appointment and answered all our questions in detail. I liked all the great amenities they had and the dining room experience for the residents. It wasn't the right location for my wife, but I would recommend it to anyone who's interested.

"Awful Facility: Unkind Staff and Sad Meals"
Terrible facility. Seriously, don't bring someone you love here. The employees are unfriendly, clueless and don't care. The bosses only think about cash. And the food? Totally sad.

"A great place to consider!"
I visited this community for care. We liked the staff; they were kind and answered all our questions. The place is very clean, and we were impressed by the nice atmosphere. The other residents were having fun with the activities, and we got to see the menu. We recommend that families tour this community for their loved ones’ care.

We just visited our dear friend who recently moved to Elmcroft-Martinez. We were really impressed with the office staff and all the workers. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional. "Gloomy vibes with bad decoration!"
When I visited this place, I didn't feel a happy vibe. The whole place was pretty gloomy and it didn't look like a lot of effort was put into making the place nice for the people living there. I didn't really like this place and I wouldn't tell anyone to go there.

"Lacks Staff Motivation, Good Meals!"
My family member really likes the meals they serve at this place. There are lots of options, and they’re healthy. But I’m sad that the staff hasn’t encouraged my friend to participate in activities, and sometimes he feels lonely.

"Adjusting to New Community: Overall Positive Experience, Minor Issues"
We're still getting used to this place, it's pretty new, so they're still figuring some things out. But, everything's going pretty well so far. The staff is nice and helpful. It's a bummer that there aren't many activities for memory care. The place is kept up well, super clean and nice. Food's good too, they give balanced meals. I think we'll get even more used to it with time.

"Decent but Not Perfect Fit"
This was one of the places we checked out while exploring options in the area. It was decent—no major issues—but not the perfect fit for us.

Every time we visit, we feel like family. No matter what time it is, the staff and residents are genuinely happy. Mom has been there for over a month and feels right at home. We don't worry about her forgetting her medicine because they help her take it on time. We also don’t stress about her missing meals since all the food is provided. I would recommend Elmcroft of Martinez to anyone looking for assisted living for their aging parent.

Everything at Elmcroft of Martinez has been great! The staff is kind and caring, and they really know how to work with the residents. My loved one didn’t want to go to a senior community, but the people here have done everything they can to help him settle in and feel comfortable. They really go above and beyond!
