"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
I'm mostly happy with everything. My mom isn't into activities, and the cost is a bit high. Meals and care are okay.

"Friendly staff, clean facility, but high cost and understaffed"
It’s really hard to get medication to my loved one through their insurance. This is a problem with this place and other places too. The staff is friendly and polite. I haven't tried the food, so I don’t know if it’s good. Memory Care doesn't have many activities because of the needs of the residents. The cost is high, especially since we have to furnish the room and provide everything our loved one needs. The cost covers room, food, and staff to care for the residents. The place is clean, and they do the laundry well. For the care they provide, they are very good. I think they need more staff in the Memory Care unit. I would recommend them to other families.

"Insensitive Communication and Unreliable Contact at Facility"
No one should ever hear from a facility that they can't talk to their parent because they're not worthy. But that's exactly what they told me. Plus, if there's an emergency with your grandchild, don't count on reaching your loved one. They don't care if the resident's phone isn't working...

""Neglectful care, understaffed, loved ones left in unsanitary conditions.""
Our experience here was awful. The place is short on staff. People needing the highest level of care get neglected. My dad fell five times in just two months. Though they should check on him every two hours due to his care level, they didn't. When we visited daily, no one came to take care of him. He would be left alone in the dining area for hours while others went back to their rooms because they didn't have enough staff. Showers and baths were scarce. They left him sitting in pee every day, for hours on end. Both his diaper and wheelchair would be drenched. We were not alone in our concerns, two other families had similar experiences.

"Kind and caring, highly recommended"
They were kind and caring to my husband and nice to me and our family. My husband stayed there for 22 days, including a 6-day hospital stay. I would recommend them to others.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Community"
This place is super clean, and the kitchen staff does a great job with vegetarian meals. However, the care staff needs to step up their game. The billing system is confusing, especially for newcomers. Plus, the shared suite situation isn't very welcoming.

"Enjoy meals, slow service, adapting activities, overall happiness"
Our loved ones enjoy meals, but dining service can be slow. Activities are adapting, hoping for normalcy soon. They're happy here.

"Not the Right Fit"
The community was pleasant, but not the right fit for my loved one.

"Communication Issues and Restricted Access Diminish Assisted Living Experience"
We picked Cadence at Mt. Zion because they seemed like a good match when we first met. They presented themselves nicely, and the activities and food looked good. It's a pretty place with nice grounds. But they weren't good at keeping us informed. You really have to keep asking about what's happening with your loved one, especially with covid making things harder. I think it would have been better if we could come and go whenever we wanted.

"Assisted Living Falls Short on Care and Professionalism"
This place needs serious improvements. The workers don't seem to know what they're doing, and the bosses care more about making money than taking care of the people here. They say they can handle patients with memory issues, but they really can't. They're not very professional and can't handle problems between the people who live here.
