"Assisted Living Review: Cleanliness and Staffing Improvements Needed"
They're better than most places that care for people with memory issues. I think they reduced the number of cleaners, so now the medical assistants and nurses have to clean too. The staff are really nice. They could definitely be cleaner though; they often misplace her clothes, blankets, and pillows.

"Good food, but could use more attention"
We wish he was getting a little more attention, but he says he doesn't need the help. They definitely provide great food options.

"Father's inadequate care in expensive assisted living facility"
My dad has been living here for half a year. The quality of care has totally plummeted. There have been instances where, during my visits, I find out my dad hasn't been given his medicine. Once, he pulled the bathroom cord but no one came to assist him. And there's a significant decrease in their staff number. Every time I visit and request to meet the Executive Director, he's always absent. Despite shelling out a large sum for this place, the care isn't up to standard.

"Disappointed in declining care at dad's facility"
My dad's been at this place for a few months and the care just keeps getting worse. I can't express enough how let down I feel. It's becoming more and more difficult to shift him elsewhere, but I'm not satisfied.

"Friendly staff, clean, good food, and helpful activities for care"
I visited this place to find care options for my mom. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The community was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. The food options looked good, and there were lots of helpful activities planned. I would recommend this place to other families looking for care for a loved one.

"Unhappy Atmosphere, Not Suitable for Loved Ones"
I visited the assisted living community, but it didn't feel cheerful. The decorations weren't vibrant, and the atmosphere wasn't uplifting. Although it was convenient for us, I didn't feel comfortable leaving my loved one there.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Cheerful Decor for Better Atmosphere"
The community tour wasn't very cheerful. The decorations weren't exciting, and it didn't feel happy. Even though it's close to us, I didn't feel good about putting my loved one there.

"Cozy atmosphere but could use modern touch."
The people working here are really nice and welcoming. But, the place itself feels a bit old-fashioned and could do with some upgrades.

"Memory Care Facility Fails to Properly Care for Patient"
Maybe the assisted living part of their facility is decent, BUT their dedicated Memory Care has been a nightmare for my relative. He often comes back with unexplained bruises. He shows signs of late-stage dementia/Alzheimer's that, after only several months, they've informed us they can't manage. However, we gave them full details about my dad's situation before we picked this facility and they assured us all would turn out 'perfectly'. They claimed to be totally capable of handling his wandering, incontinence, restlessness, and so on. Now, they can't cope. My dad even "escaped" from their so-called "Secure Memory Care Unit" right through the main entrance. There are constant problems, poor management, regular staff turnover, and lack of trained staff. They're also understaffed for their "Memory Care" Unit which, amusingly enough, should rather be termed the "Forgetful Seniors" unit, considering they're unable to properly care for actual dementia/Alzheimer's patients.

"Clean, Polite, but Lacking Activities; Overall Positive Experience"
My dad was okay here, but he's in the hospital now. He'll come back when he's better. This place is clean and nice. They do well with keeping it tidy. Not many activities in the memory care area. Assisted living has some. Dad liked the food. People are polite and kind. Everything's fine for now.

"Friendly Staff, But Computerized Evaluations Raise Concerns"
This community is generally well cared for, and most of the staff are friendly. However, I have concerns about the director and head nurse—they become defensive when questioned. I discovered that resident evaluations are done by a computer, not people. I’ve been waiting for information for over a week.

"Review of 'Studio-Only Living Facility, Not Ideal For Couples'"
The place is pretty nice, but the apartments are only made for one person. It gets too tight for two. I asked for a deal for two studios since a couple might want to live here, but they didn't offer much of a discount.

"Heritage of Brookstone: Where Mom and Family Are Well-Cared For"
After Mom had a fall and needed a wheelchair, we knew we couldn’t take care of her at home anymore. A Place for Mom suggested Heritage of Brookstone, and from the moment I walked in, I felt a special vibe there. Mom was welcomed into the Heritage family right away. They made sure her medications were given to her daily, and the staff who helped her kept her on a routine, meeting all her needs. It was easy for me to relax knowing Mom was getting great care, thanks to the clear communication with the staff and management. Heritage took excellent care of both Mom and me.

"Welcoming, Clean, Varied Activities, Limited Care, Need to Check Activities"
This place is fresh and clean, and they take care of your room with housekeeping and linen services. There are lots of activities to do, and they have a small outside area. The staff is nice, and they offer two options for lunch and dinner, plus deli sandwiches if you want something different. They have three levels of care, but they can't handle residents if they get aggressive or need long-term care. I suggest checking out the weekday activities to see what's available.

"Convenient location and friendly staff, a bit large for mom."
The assisted living facility has a really good staff, and it's close to my home, only about 5 minutes away. However, my mom thought it might be a tad too big for her, although she did enjoy her visit there.
