"Ivy Hall: Decent, Studio-Size Apartments"

Our family visited Ivy Hall to see what it was like. It was pretty much the same as the other place we checked out. They had a lot of small, studio apartments there.

"Good Value, But Communication Needs Improvement"

We picked Ivy Hall because it was a good deal and they had room. The communication hasn't been as good as I hoped, especially since we can't go inside. Overall, I might recommend them, but it's hard since we haven't been able to visit.

"Highly Recommend for Loved Ones"

I want to share a great success story about my 93-year-old mom. After she broke her leg in January this year, she went from living independently to the hospital for surgery, then to a rehab center, and finally to Ivy Hall Assisted Living by the end of February. When Mom first arrived at Ivy Hall, she was using a catheter and couldn’t put any weight on her broken leg until March. She needed three aides to help her during that time. Once she could start using her leg, she began working with [name removed], the physical therapist at Ivy Hall. Thanks to [name removed], Mom eventually learned to walk again. As she grew stronger, she needed less help from the aides and now only needs one aide each day to assist with her shower and getting dressed. Mom has trouble with this because both her shoulders are dislocated. Her main goal at Ivy Hall was to get strong enough to move back to independent living. While I’m a bit worried about this move since she’s getting such great care at Ivy Hall, Mom is very determined and once she sets her mind on something, she sticks to it. I want to thank all the staff at Ivy Hall for the excellent care they provided while Mom was there. I highly recommend this facility to anyone making decisions about their loved ones.

"Hospital Visit and Deteriorated Health After Stay"

This place was a bad choice. After only three months, my mom or dad had to go to the hospital and is now sicker than they've ever been.

"Great place for my sister’s care!"

This is a great place for taking care of a loved one. I feel good knowing my sister is doing well. They do need more caregivers. She enjoys the nice variety of meals. They also have a great list of activities. We would recommend this community for taking care of a loved one.

"Father-in-Law Thriving"

My father-in-law is doing great since moving here. Everything has worked out well, and we’re satisfied with the care they provide. The staff is kind and helpful. The only downside is the meals. Overall, it’s a community I’d recommend.

"Ivy Hall gets a thumbs up!"

The staff is fabulous, and the nursing staff, helpers, and office staff are wonderful and very caring. While the chef could improve the food, overall, it's like being part of a new big family.

"Amazing care and great staff at Ivy Hall!"

Ivy Hall Assisted Living has been very attentive to my mother’s care needs. Most importantly, it’s a safe place with wonderful staff. The community is clean and organized. I have no complaints about anything; the meals are nutritious, and the portions are good. I really liked the manager; he has been nice since the beginning and gave us a great deal.

"Great place to live!"

Our experience with Ivy Hall Assisted Living has been really good overall! The place is clean, well-kept, and there's never any bad smells. The people here are friendly, and they do a great job taking care of the residents! I talked to a visiting nurse who sees lots of different places around here, and she said this is the place she'd choose for her Mom, which I think is a pretty good recommendation!

"Mom is happier than ever in this warm, cozy place"

So far, we’re really happy with Ivy Hall Assisted Living. Everything’s going smoothly, and my mother seems happier than ever. The only downside is that parking is a bit tough. The place has a warm and cozy vibe, not too big or overwhelming. I’m very pleased with it.

"Helpful Assisted Living Facility with a Cozy Atmosphere"

The tour guide was really friendly and helpful. The facility was a bit small, but still nice. It seems better suited for people who need more assistance than my parents.

"Satisfactory Facility With Unfriendly Staff and Poor Service"

I was not greeted when I entered the facility. I had to wander around to find someone who could help me locate my relative's room. Nobody came out of their offices to ask if I needed help. Eventually, someone assisted me. When I got to my relative's apartment, there was a strong smell that remained until I left. The staff were not so friendly, either when passing by them or when they came to deliver medication. The bathrooms were big, and there was plenty of storage in the room, but the carpet was dirty and unattractive. My relative has a personal aide, but during my visit, no helper from Ivy Hall checked on her. She still has to pay for the facility's services despite having her own aide, so the staff should at least check in on her regularly. Ivy Hall is acceptable considering its cost, but if I had other options, I would've chosen them. Lastly, parking was a nightmare as staff members took up all the spots leaving none for the visitors.

"Nice Place, But a Bit Large"

We visited this community while exploring care options for a family member. The place looked nice overall, but it felt a bit too big and overwhelming for Mom. It seemed like a good community, but I don't think she'd be comfortable here.

From the first time we walked in, my wife and I knew it would be a perfect place for my 89-year-old mother. Becoming blind late in life has many challenges, but the marketing team and management made it clear that this wouldn't be a problem. When the Director of Nursing came to our house to evaluate my mother, she took her time to observe and talk with her. The level of service they suggested was just right and didn’t cost as much as we feared, which was a nice surprise. The move-in process was smooth, and my mother adjusted well to her new home. I left her for a few hours and found her downstairs enjoying activities she hadn't done in four years. After more than two weeks, the activities are just right for her, and she loves her new life. She even called my wife to thank her for finding such a wonderful place! We enjoy visiting, and the nursing staff always gives us updates without us asking. They truly care and clearly love their jobs.

"Lack of Cozy Feeling, Small Dining and Nightmarish Parking"

When I walked into the place, it didn't feel cozy or inviting. The person in charge pointed out that they're planning to spruce up the shared spaces. Honestly, I wasn't impressed by the dining room - it just seemed too small. On the plus side, the head person and the nurse were super friendly. Still, parking was a real headache.

"Limited Space, No Kitchen, More Wheelchairs: Tour on 11/12"

It only has 59 units, all of which are incredibly tiny and lacking kitchens. As of now, there are no dogs allowed. Noticed several residents in wheelchairs. It seems less self-sufficient than my mom's place.

"Poor Room Design, Outdoor Walking is Challenging"

The layout of the rooms isn't good and it's tough to walk outside.

"Great facility for future consideration!"

This is an excellent facility. I would definitely think about this place for my mother when the time is right. The director was a fantastic tour guide and knew the staff really well. Everything was very clean and professional.
