"Disappointed Experience: Seek Care Elsewhere"
We were told this place would work for us. Turns out, it didn't. But, gotta give credit where it's due - [name removed] is awesome! So caring and professional. Sadly, overall, not a good fit. Better options out there.

"Mixed Experience at The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry"
Overall, I like the people at The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry. Everyone I've met has been really nice, friendly, and helpful. They recently hired a new person to manage housekeeping, which was needed. If your loved one needs extra attention and care, you might want to consider hiring a private caregiver. They don't have enough staff right now, like many other places. The food there is pretty good quality and tasty. I think The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry is a good choice overall, but you might have to get extra help depending on what your loved one needs.

"Friendly and Helpful Assisted Living with Fun Activities"
I would tell others to consider The Phoenix at Johnson Ferry. The people there were nice and helpful. They assisted us with everything we needed when we moved in. We really enjoyed all the events and crafts they organized for the residents.

"Limited Room Options at The Phoenix"
We had a nice tour at The Phoenix. The guide was friendly and told us useful information. Unfortunately, they didn't have suitable rooms for my mom when we visited.

"Mixed Impressions at Assisted Living Mansion"
Our family visited this facility in person, and we were impressed. It resembles a Southern mansion, with beautiful rooms upstairs. The apartments are spacious, featuring granite countertops in the kitchens. However, the first hallway smelled of urine, and the front desk lady seemed uninterested in our quick tour. A resident’s broken call button was also concerning. Thankfully, there’s a new executive director, and we’re hopeful for improvements.

"Friendly staff, but care is inconsistent"
The staff and the leaders are very friendly and helpful! To make the care at The Phoenix better, they need to have regular training for the staff. If they do have regular training, it doesn't show because the care can be very inconsistent.

"Consistent staff turnover and poor food quality led to dissatisfaction."
The people in charge kept changing a lot while we were there. And the food was not good and didn't stay the same. My family member was only there a few months and left because he didn't like it.

"Great staff, nice decor, but memory care area needs improvement."
The staff here is wonderful, polite, and very engaged. The decor is nice, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The residents we saw looked happy. The memory care area is lighter but not as open as we hoped. We love the "Illuminations" program idea. She seemed to understand our needs and concerns.

"A Blessing Close to Home During COVID"
The place was really clean, and the staff was pretty good. It would be helpful if they talked more about the clients’ needs with the caregivers so they understand better. Unfortunately, my dad passed away unexpectedly after 6 weeks as a resident. But we appreciated that we could be with him daily, wearing PPE. There were some technology issues with the door opener and pager that caused my dad anxiety. It’s hard to know the staff-to-resident ratio, so I’m not sure if they were understaffed. They were responsive to specific requests, though. Being close to home during the COVID time was a blessing.

"Negative Review: Unhappy Experience at Phoenix-Owned Assisted Living Facility"
My Mom stayed here for a year. When she first moved in, Atria owned the place, and it was pretty pleasant according to the other residents. But then Phoenix took over and things started going down hills. A bunch of good staff members quit because they didn't like how Phoenix did things. We quickly understood their frustration. The food wasn't great. My mom had bugs in her room multiple times. They were also doing construction work, tearing down walls and stuff. The workers wore masks but the residents had to breathe in dust and fumes. The activities were basic, and didn't make her think. There were only a few outings, like to a restaurant or a local event. There wasn't much social interaction during meals, and the resident councils barely made a difference. If a resident complained, nothing would change until they threatened to leave. The staff didn't like me because I spoke up. The Executive Director even hung up on me during a call - it was quite unprofessional. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place for your loved one. They deserve better.

"Disappointing Experience: Lack of Care in Assisted Living Facility"
My mom was supposed to stay for 2 weeks while my husband and I went away. This place was close to my son's home, so they could visit her. We arrived on the planned date, but the room wasn't ready. No bed, linens, or TV. They hurried to set up a bed. The dresser looked old and stained. They put in a TV but didn't connect it to cable, so she had no TV for 2 weeks. My daughter-in-law told me during our video calls that she had to give Mom a shower. It seemed no one had done that since her arrival. The room had no chair, just a bed. There was a lamp on a table. It wasn't decorated like the room I saw when I checked out the facility. My son said it felt like a prison cell with bare walls. He brought pictures from home to make it cozier. I called the director when I found out Mom wasn't getting a bath. She said Mom refused when they asked. I expected them to take care of her while I was away. Who would go without a shower for 2 weeks? Thankfully, my daughter-in-law made sure Mom stayed clean.

"Frustrating Service and High Turnover at Assisted Living Facility"
Meds aren't delivered when promised. The staff seems impatient and unkind. My clothes keep getting mixed up with other residents'. Employees quit and are replaced too frequently. Unbelievably, we've had three executive directors in just a few months, and so on.

"A Cozy, Pet-Friendly Assisted Living Community"
I really like this place. It’s a smaller community, but it’s conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from our house. Even though it’s an older facility, it’s well-maintained and very clean. We met three residents, and they all seemed quite happy. The price seems reasonable, and the fact that they allow pets is definitely a plus.

"Great place with caring staff and lovely surroundings!"
This place has a beautiful garden and courtyard. The staff have been really good at looking after my friend and helping with her medicine. My friend has started joining in some of the daily things they do, and she's making friends. Her room is nice, and they make sure it stays clean. She's doing better since she moved here, and I think you should check it out.

"**Insights from the Tour**"
I discovered their perspective on Assisted Living and realized they aren't authorized to provide assistance. However, I sought a community for my father-in-law's final days. Unfortunately, they weren't the best fit for long-term care. No major issues; just not the right match.

"So-So Assistance Community with Big Deals Raises Questions"
This wasn't really one of the best places I've seen. The whole place was kind of weirdly set up, and the people working there didn't seem as involved as in other places. They were also giving away some pretty big deals which makes me wonder why they have to do that.

"Considering Atria Johnson Ferry for Loved One's Care"
We visited Atria Johnson Ferry while exploring care choices for a family member. It looked really nice and was high on our list. The building was pleasant, and the staff were kind and acted professionally. I wish they blended the memory care and assisted living sections better. Our family member has some memory problems but doesn't need full memory care. There weren't any activities for her that are usually found in memory care.

"Positive Experience in Clean, Friendly Assisted Living Community"
My mom fell not long after she moved in. They sent her to another place to get better. But, the care overall was good. When she came back, they raised the rate for taking care of her. Even so, the place was clean and the people were nice, and it was worth the money. The care she got was really good. Now, my mom is starting to feel better and is excited to join in the activities they offer.

"Finding the perfect place for Mom and Dad made easy!"
When Mom and Dad decided to move, my sister, found the owner from A Place for Mom. He helped us connect with several assisted living facilities in different sizes and price ranges. We chose one, and my parents loved it! The process was so much easier than we expected.

"Wonderful place with great activities and happy residents!"
The staff is really nice, and the place is very clean. He seems really happy there, and that is the most important thing. They have great activities, and the food is excellent. They don’t do personal laundry, except for certain levels of care. We loved the location, and the residents seemed younger and more active. Plus, there are a lot of male residents.

"Quality of Care Depends on Individual Needs"
The place was okay, but really expensive. We had to pay an awful lot extra for my mom's care, but they didn't keep her neat and clean. They weren't taking her to the bathroom when she needed to go. Her clothes were dirty a lot, and they didn't wash them quickly. There were lots of different people working there all the time. Also, their monthly pricing plan was too confusing, and I couldn't tell what we were being charged for. If your loved ones can manage on their own, it's probably a pretty good place. However, if they need more personal help, I wouldn't rate it very highly at all.

"Atria at Johnson Ferry was the perfect choice for my mom."
After touring many assisted living facilities in the Atlanta area, I chose Atria at Johnson Ferry for my mother, she. I needed to move her from a memory care facility in Amarillo, Texas, and she was fragile both medically and emotionally at the time. I went on several tours arranged by 'A Place For Mom.' While many places were nice, the moment I walked into Atria with its beautiful chandeliers and spoke with the administrator, she, I knew it was the right choice. They even organized a visit to her facility in Texas to assess her needs. Once everything was set, they helped me every step of the way with the move and transition. I really liked their small memory care unit with only 13 beds. It felt just as welcoming as the assisted living area. The staff was well-trained, attentive, kind, and respectful to everyone—residents, families, and each other. I was there at all hours for different reasons, and no matter when I visited, the staff was always alert and ready to help. From the administrator to the nurses and maintenance staff, everyone was professional. Even when difficult decisions had to be made, like hospital admissions or when my mother entered hospice care, I felt like she had a caring home here. I never witnessed any negative interactions, and I always felt good about her care. Atria was bright and clean, with lovely garden spaces for quiet moments or activities. The staff truly knew what they were doing and were amazing. The only challenges I faced were related to changing laws in Georgia, but Atria helped me navigate those with exceptional doctors, especially he, a psychiatrist who understood the needs of older patients. It was comforting to find such a wonderful place during such a tough time for my family and me. I hope everyone involved in my mother's care knows how much their small acts meant to us during this difficult situation.

"Nice, Small Community - Intimate Feel"
The assisted living facility is very clean, and the staff is excellent. It's a good value for what we pay. The care service seems very good. We had a few adjustments to make when we first arrived, but that's expected. They're responsive when issues come up. My mom actively participates in all the activities. She enjoys interacting with animals—they bring them in regularly. Even in the memory care unit, she joins outdoor activities like tai chi and zumba. The smallness of the unit creates an intimate feel, which is great for my mom.

"Good community"
Atria is a bit more expensive than other communities we looked at, but our loved one loves the food here. They change the linen once a week. The staff is very friendly, and that’s what drew us in. There’s also a larger population of males here. We liked the way it looked aesthetically. We visited about 4 other communities, and Atria stood out above the rest. We are very happy with them so far.

"There are 69 residents. The property offers therapy and more."
There are 69 residents at this assisted living facility. The property looks nice. They offer on-site occupational and speech therapy. Several doctors visit the facility, and they provide free transportation to appointments on certain days. An activity coordinator is available. A studio apartment costs $3,295, and for 10 medications or fewer, the charge is $125 per month. The staff is trained 24 hours a day. However, they didn't mention the cost for level one or two assisted living care. They assess residents over the phone initially and then reevaluate after they move in. The rooms are a bit larger than my dad's place at St. Leonard (270 sq. ft.). Residents dine at assigned tables, enjoying three restaurant-style meals.
