Lake Joy Assisted Living

"Assisted Living Needs Better Vision Support"
They’re not ready to help someone who can’t see well. The night shift isn’t run well, and the staff can be defensive. There’s no warm water, and the Med Techs aren’t trained consistently. But don’t get me wrong—there are still many excellent people there!

"Expectations of More Interaction in Assisted Living Were Unrealized"
In assisted living memory care, families should understand how their loved ones will be cared for. I thought there would be more interaction with the workers and residents than I actually saw.

"The Phoenix at Lake Joy: A Positive Experience"
Let me start by saying I don't give five stars because every place can get better, even if they're already pretty good. The Phoenix at Lake Joy in Warner Robins, GA, has been my grandmother's home since December 2017 (assisted living). They've changed management twice since then, and staff changes happen. But they've always cared for her and kept her safe, especially during Covid. The rooms are nice and spacious, with private or semi-private options. Most rooms have double windows for lots of natural light. The bathrooms are big enough for someone using a walker or wheelchair. And the closets are a good size. Overall, we've had a positive experience with TP@LJ and would recommend it to those seeking assisted living options.

"Friendly Staff and Good Meals!"
The place is really nice. The staff on the floor, especially the girls, are great. Sometimes my loved one says one thing, and the staff says something else, so I’m figuring things out. If my loved one misses breakfast and stays in her room, they bring her meals there. She really enjoys the way they make the fish. The front desk was super patient and helped with everything I needed.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We've had some problems. The call button response time isn't great, and waiting for medication takes too long. The staff is friendly, but service lags due to being understaffed. The food is decent, but I'd prefer simpler options. Overall, it's a nice place, but pricey for the service.

"Too Expensive!"
This place was really clean and had enough people working there, but it cost way too much!

"Friendly Staff and Great Fit for Dad!"
The staff were super helpful and answered all our questions. The Phoenix seems like a great place for my dad. Can't wait to see it in person!

"Mixed Feelings on Pricey Assisted Living"
The workers here can be really nice or not so nice. Living here costs a lot of money. They do fun stuff like ice cream parties, art, and bingo. The rooms are big and the place looks nice. It’s pretty when you walk in. But they really need to work on running the place better.

"A Loving Home for Mom"
My mom has been in the Memory Care unit at Phoenix at Lake Joy for 9 months. The place feels like family to both her and us. The caregivers and staff are so caring and loving. Mom is really happy there. We feel great about her being a resident at Phoenix at Lake Joy. I do think the Memory Care Unit could use more caregivers for each shift. I believe the director and staff are working hard to hire more caregivers and keep the ones they have. Mom was at another Memory Care Unit before moving to Lake Joy, and there's no comparison. Lake Joy is an answer to our prayers. It's hard to find a more caring and loving group of people.
