Lanier Place

"Cozy and Caring Assisted Living"
Moving in was easy, even though my dad had some issues at his previous place. The staff is friendly, but they seem a bit short-handed. The place is clean, and [Name removed] does a great job with laundry. It feels cozy because it’s a smaller facility. The chef is flexible about meal preferences, which is a big plus. I definitely recommend it. While it might not look fancy, they really take good care of what they have.

"The facility had religious pressure and security issues."
My mom didn't like how they kept talking about religion. The place felt insecure because nobody was at the front desk. Staff was friendly, though.

"Community Falls Short on Promises"
The food is decent. We chose this community because it was highly recommended, but they haven't met our expectations. They explained everything well, but haven't followed through. They should improve individual care and staff-to-resident ratio. Communication and cleanliness need work, and they've had staff turnover.

"Lanier Place Needs More Fun Stuff and Better Cleaning"
I think Lanier Place could have more fun things to do outside the building. And lately, the cleaning doesn't seem very good.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
Choosing Lanier Place for our loved one was a decision influenced by many factors. Compared to other places, the staff here appeared more knowledgeable and capable of handling our loved one's mobility needs. The overall cost is reasonable. During meal times, the food isn't fancy, but our loved one genuinely enjoys it. There are activities available, though not all are to our loved one's taste.

"Issues Persist Despite Good Staff"
The staff is great, and the dining area is clean. But there are still some things that need fixing, even though they promised to address them. The price keeps rising, but the issues remain. Overall, I still enjoy being here.

"Poor Care and Miscommunication at Lanier Place"
Lanier Place looks nice from the front where the assisted living section is, but it’s different once you go further inside. The memory care area is locked away, dark, and the furniture looks really old. It seemed like the nurse stayed in her office a lot and I’m not sure if she even spent much time with my dad. There were a few staff members who were really trying hard and doing their best, like the activity director. However, when we heard that my dad fell during the night and I asked the director about it, he denied it happened and suggested we were making it up. After that, we decided this place wasn’t right for us.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We visited in person, and the staff were friendly. But the place was old, with small rooms and an odor.

"Disappointing Experience at Lanier Place Assisted Living Facility"
Taking care of my loved one with dementia and finding her a new home was very tough. Ashley, the lady who helped us get her into Lanier Place, was really helpful. But after my loved one moved in, I couldn't reach her anymore. It seems like the staff changes a lot here. All the people who made me choose this place aren't around anymore. I didn't like the boss, but he's gone now. I haven't met the new boss yet. I don't think the staff understands how hard it is to deal with a family member with dementia, especially when you don't have much money. It's really overwhelming. They don't tell us the important stuff we need to know as family members. But when it's time for their survey, they keep calling me to fill it out. It feels like they're bothering me. The nurses are nice and helpful, but the people in charge aren't.
