Lucille's Resting Nest

"Perfect fit for my mom"
This residential home is a great fit for my mom. There are only five residents, and she enjoys being there. The staff are wonderful with her and the others. She likes sitting in her chair in the TV room, watching TV, and visiting. They even allow the residents to eat in their chairs if they prefer. All the meals are homemade, and my mom now eats three meals a day. She has a shared room and seems to be fine with it. There's a screened-in porch in the front and a courtyard in the back for them to enjoy. They also have a visiting nurse, and I've set up physical therapy for my mom there. I’ve noticed positive changes in her since the move.

"Caring and Affordable Assisted Living with Personal Touch"
I visited this home. The owner really cares about people. She told me she took care of her mom and now helps her dad. She has lots of experience with patients who have dementia. The house has stairs, but there's a chair lift so that's not a problem. She has a van for taking residents to the doctor and out for activities if they can go. She also said a beautician comes to do nails and hair for residents. The price was fair for what she offers and much cheaper than other places I saw in Douglasville.

"Affordable & dementia care experience"
I visited this house. The owner cared for her mom and currently cares for her dad. She has experience with dementia patients. There are stairs, but a stair lift chair solves that. The van provides transportation for doctor appointments and outings. A mobile beautician visits for nails and hair. Pricing is fair and much cheaper than Douglasville's assisted living places.

"Decent place, but prices a bit high"
The place was decent overall. It was clean, and the staff was friendly. However, I found the prices a bit high.

"Nice but eager woman, uninviting facility not for wheelchair users"
The woman was nice but seemed way too eager to get any resident, which made me wary. The outside of the facility didn't look inviting and the house isn't wheelchair-friendly; it has two levels and the top floor is only accessed by stairs. My mom would be stuck downstairs only. :(
