"Friendly Staff and Helpful Care at Magnolia Senior Living"
The staff at Magnolia Senior Living in Loganville is super friendly and helpful. They could use more staff, though—they seem a bit short-handed.

"Challenges at Living Facility; Care Quality Questioned"
In the past few months, this place has seen a lot of changes in who’s in charge. A bunch of people have left or been let go, and it’s been pretty wild. They’ve had to hire a third boss already. They used to have two people planning fun stuff to do, but after four of them left, there’s only one now. Lately, we’ve just been doing simple things like coloring and playing balloon games. But things might be getting better with the new person in charge of activities. Most of the other workers are friendly but seem all over the place. That’s probably because so many people are coming and going. Some workers who left mentioned there might be some legal problems. It’s been tough to talk to the staff about family stuff. We had trouble making sure my dad got his medicine on time, but that’s fixed now. The place is clean, at least. But overall, the care isn’t great. They’re not taking care of my loved one’s basic needs, and we might move him somewhere else. I wouldn’t tell my friends or family to send their loved ones here.

"Needs Improvement in Assisted Living Facility"
The place is clean, but sometimes our loved one's apartment needs better cleaning, especially the bathroom. The care isn't quite what we expected, but we understand things have changed after COVID. We need to stay on top of medication. The food arrives cold, so it's not meeting our expectations. More staff could help improve things.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living facility"
The place is usually clean, but things changed when they opened a new facility and moved most of the staff there. The first new staff all left about a month ago. The current staff is okay, but they keep leaving. It seems like the owner is more focused on the new place. We hope they fix the problems. There aren't many activities besides bingo, laundry is only once a week, and they dropped the Braves channel. Costs went up, but services went down. Residents stay in their rooms more due to Covid and staff shortages. The cooks quit often, and food variety decreased. I spend $75 to $100 every two weeks on extra food. We like the care, but it's not the same as before. I'm unsure about recommending this place.

"Unimpressive and Unpleasant Assisted Living Facility"
When I visited this place for my mom, I couldn't believe how terrible it was. The area for people with memory problems smelled really strongly of pee. They say they have a nurse, but I didn't see one around. Also, they didn't have enough workers there. I didn't like it one bit, and I suggest nobody put their family member here!

"Inadequate Staff and Empty Rooms at Assisted Living Facility"
There's no front desk and only a few staff. There's no place for activities. The people in charge are mean. I only saw two helpers there. One was just lounging in the dining area while the other was gabbing on her phone. There were a bunch of empty rooms - a sure sign something's not right.

"Unpleasant smell and high staff turnover makes this place uncool."
This place wasn't cool. It stunk pretty bad, and there was this fence all around the back. Doesn't feel right for someone who wants to live on their own. Maybe if you need help remembering things and want safety, it'd be okay. But for anyone else, it's totally not the place to be. It seemed like there was only one staff person trying to do everything, and they looked brand new. You could tell workers were constantly being changed.

"Mixed feelings about Magnolia Assisted Living"
Magnolia Assisted Living has everything my family member requires. She's conservative and loves classical music, though it's not available here. She appreciates strolling in the courtyard each day and admires its neatness. The staff does a good job handling her medication and shows genuine care at home.

"Magnolia Senior Living Criticized for Poor Care and Unqualified Staff"
My brother was a resident here, and he ended up breaking his hip because nobody assisted him to the bathroom. He had issues with his prostate, which meant he needed to use the bathroom frequently, but the staff were very unkind to him because of this. Sadly, he passed away from infections he got after his hip surgery. My sister-in-law also lives here currently and was discovered in her bathroom where a staff member took her for a diaper change. She had two bone fractures in her lower left leg and a femur fracture and a broken hip on her right side. Immediately when she screamed in pain, her social worker was there with her. As she has Alzheimer's, she is slow to understand things and needs instructions to be repeated for comprehension. We suspect she was harshly put down on the toilet, and due to the close proximity of the cabinet and toilet, her left leg got twisted and broken. Honestly, if I were the one making decisions for her, she would not be here. Unfortunately, her sister is the one who decides. Magnolia recruits the least qualified individuals because they accept low pay. The people who run the place lack formal education and were merely diaper changers before they assumed their managerial roles. In my opinion, Magnolia Senior Living is a dangerous place for elders.

"Clean, Well-Kept Assisted Living; Chose Another Based on Location"
Magnolia Senior Living was a pretty place. The gardens were well-maintained. Inside, it was clean and pleasant. We picked a different place because it fit our budget and was closer to home.

"Friendly Staff and Well-Kept Facility, Not Quite Right for Us"
I had a good tour of this place. Everyone was nice to my family and me. The community looked well-maintained and everything was neat. The staff I met were polite and friendly. Overall, everything went fine, but it wasn't the right fit for my family.

"A Happy Community for Mom-In-Law"
This place is nice and cheerful. My mother-in-law is doing well since moving here. We like how she’s taken care of. She feels safe and is in good hands. The staff is wonderful, they’ve been so helpful and friendly. There are plenty of activities for everyone here. The food is balanced and tasty. This community works well for our family, and I’d tell others about it.
