"Great care and kindness after 12 years, sad to leave"
My mother will be leaving Morningside after 12 1/2 years because of finances. During her time there, she received excellent care. The staff was always kind, caring, and patient. Even during tough times, everyone, from the director to the van driver, made her care their top priority. Each person cared deeply about their work, even if they found new jobs. I wish I could name all the long-time staff who have consistently shown love. We will really miss the friendships we’ve made. May God bless this amazing group of people. Thanks for everything you’ve done for us.

"Avoid Morningside: Devastating Stay Instead of Trustworthy Care"
Choosing Morningside for my mom was an awful mistake! I was completely fooled into thinking she would receive kind, trustworthy care. This didn't happen and her stay there was truly devastating. Please carefully check out this facility before you decide to put your dear one at Morningside. It can prevent you from a painful ordeal.

"Avoid: Negligence, Poor Staffing and Inadequate Care Ruins Experience"
Big No-No. If you're looking for a secure, high-quality, caring place that looks after all day-to-day needs, giving the resident peace of mind and the family assurance, I strongly recommend you don't consider this one unless your loved one is super independent. I implore you to investigate yearly checks and deficiency reports—it'll save you so much sorrow. Regardless of the Director's insistence that there are no staff problems, the high turnover rate is seriously concerning. Barely a week passed without them being "understaffed" multiple days. The rapid staff changes, poor medicine handling and doubtful care leading to neglect caused our family a nightmare! I tried to talk about these with the Director, but she didn't care much about the issues and took no steps until more complaints. One caregiver was always wearing headphones, which is totally uncool — all while ignoring and neglecting needy patients/residents. Completely unacceptable. Sadly, it's too late for some folks. The dining area is top-notch and well run. But there simply aren't enough apt activities. Despite the Director's insistence on no staff issues and giving herself a 5-star rating, BEWARE and view the deficiency reports! Neglect was our family's unfortunate experience!!
