"Mixed Experience with The Phoenix at Lake Lanier, High Costs"

My family member lives at The Phoenix at Lake Lanier. The food is good. They communicate well with us. The staff changes a lot, which is common nowadays, but they're trying. My only problem is how expensive it is. Overall, I'd suggest it to others.

"An Unhappy Review of Assisted Living Facility"

Each time I visit my mom here, my negative experiences stack up. I recommend you continue searching for a place. The front desk folks sure are sweet and helpful though. There's this one lady in the dining area who, by my account, seems to be the only one in the whole building who genuinely cares for the residents. She seems completely worn out from taking care of them. If it was in my hands, I'd move my mom out of here ASAP. Now, I'm almost at a point where I dread visiting her here.

"Overall, mixed experience."

Before we moved to Phoenix community, we were told there’d be nurses around during the day and evenings. But that wasn’t always true. The medical staff seemed short, especially on weekends. The food isn’t as great as they claimed. Our loved one’s studio lacks a microwave and fridge area. Closets are okay.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

During my loved one's stay here, their room stayed messy. Some staff were nice, but others weren't. It cost a lot and the food was terrible. There were only two meal options, both unappetizing. Management was pretty poor. My loved one was in memory care and did have some activities. We talked to other residents who were also unhappy.

"Gorgeous Facilities, Underwhelming Service"

Starting from the top, it's tough to figure out where to begin. The nurse's desks are almost always empty, no matter when you visit. If you ring for assistance, you'd better not be in a hurry, because responses come slowly, if at all. Questions? Good luck getting those answered. Even as they leave you hanging for help, they're always ready to snatch up every spare moment you have. Compared to these folks, mobsters look like boy scouts when it comes to handling money and running a business. They're all about collecting payment, but can't seem to muster up an invoice. What gets to me is that the managers here, who ought to be in the healthcare business, can't answer a basic medical question. All they've got under their belts are business degrees, not an ounce of healthcare expertise. Just try asking them for an update on your loved one's health, they stare back like you're speaking a foreign language. It's such a shame too, because the place itself looks great and could be doing so much more.

"Don't Be Fooled by the Facade!"

Don't be fooled by how nice this place looks on the outside. Ever since the new owners took charge, the quality of this place is dropping faster than a downhill skier at the Olympics! There's a shortage of staff and the ones that are here don't seem to know what they're doing. You hit the call button for help, and sometimes you wait hours for someone to come. The cleaning isn't done properly, and there are times when there's no one at the nurses' station. My family member's experience here worries me a lot and I'm seriously thinking about finding a new place.

"Beautiful Community"

Lanier Lodge looked stunning! I visited and scheduled a return tour within an hour. It felt like a luxurious 5-star hotel. While it would have been great for me, my parents might find the walk to the dining room challenging.

"Been A Challenge"

Even though my mom has faced a few health issues, she's been doing okay here. The staff has been incredibly helpful and kind. The community always looks clean and well-maintained. Mom really enjoys the food when she can eat. Before she got sick, she participated in activities and liked the other residents.

"Like a spa or a 5-star hotel"

This community is amazing! It's like a luxury spa or 5-star hotel. My mom loves it here! Both the inside and outside are beautifully kept. It’s on a lake, and the dining room has a great view. The building has a porch with swings where people can relax and enjoy the lake view. The dining room is spacious, and the fireplace adds a cozy, homey feel. The food is fantastic, and my mom really enjoys it. It’s also pet-friendly, so she could bring her cat, which was very important to her. The staff is kind and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place!
