"Not all amenities as promised; friendly but understaffed."

I would tell people to look around more. Some of the things they promise at first aren't really there. The staff is friendly, but they seem to have too few workers and not enough security guards.

"Nice facilities, caring staff, mixed office responsiveness"

The facilities are nice, and they care about residents. Office responsiveness varies. Chose for apartment size and quality.

"Friendly staff, challenges with dining, good communication."

The people there are really nice. The place where we eat is currently not open. They're trying really hard with what they've got. They're facing some difficulties. They're pretty good at keeping in touch. We chose this place because the staff is so welcoming.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Our experience here hasn't been great. The staff are friendly, but things don't get done. We've had to hire outside help for our loved one. The facility looks nice, but the Memory Care Unit needs improvement.

"Mixed Experience at The Retreat Assisted Living"

The Retreat is trying their best with what's available in this area. They require a trained dietitian, a credentialed geriatric social worker, drivers, and more activities. My mom independent living pays a lot for average amenities. We're concerned about the day she'll need actual assistance or care. Be sure to get everything in writing according to your contract.

"Beautiful Facility, Poor Care and High Costs"

The Retreat at Conyers is a beautiful place. They put a lot of money into the main area of the building. But they didn't upgrade the assisted living or memory care buildings. So, people who are disabled or have memory problems can't use the nice new areas. The cost to live there went up a lot. We had an 8% increase. There were big problems with the activities. They lost their director, so there were no activities for months. Residents had nothing to do. When there were activities, there was no money for them and no outings. My mom was very bored and I think she got worse because she had nothing to keep her mind busy. The food was very unhealthy. They made the menu to keep residents happy, not healthy. The chef quit too. There were budget problems and a lot of staff changes. I tried for years to work with the administration to fix these issues because the facility has so much potential.

"Caring Staff and Memory Care Available"

The front office staff, and , are amazing. They've helped us with everything, and we really appreciate that. While my loved one sometimes complains about the food, the overall care has been excellent. Most of the staff are very good, although there's one person who can be a bit gruff. A big plus for us was that they also offer memory care, so we won't need to move my loved one off campus later on.

"Improved Management Brings Positive Changes"

Things used to be uncertain, but the new management is working hard to make improvements happen quickly.

"Satisfied, But Communication Could Improve"

I’d for sure suggest people check out The Retreat at Conyers. They need to work on talking to us better at the start; they didn’t really set up what to expect right, and they could’ve made that better. But overall, we were pretty pleased with them.

"Front Desk Alert Saves Lives!"

I don't get why, on weekends, we call and end up with the answering machine. It seems important for everyone to let the front office know we're here. I remember a male resident passing away years ago, and if we didn't have the front desk, no one would've known.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"

Our loved one gets good care, but the facility's business side needs improvements. They love the meals, dining service, and activities.

"Pleasant Assisted Living with Good Value"

The staff is friendly, rooms are nice, and food is good. Overall, it's a pleasant community.
