"Inadequate Care, Poor Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
If I could, I'd give this place a negative rating. It was distressing and remains one of my worst memories ever. I strongly recommend against anyone's admission here. It felt like they practically coerced us into admitting my aunt so that she could receive the affordable rates they offered. My aunt exhibited symptoms of dementia, but the facility ran tests on her and concluded she could live alone instead of moving into memory care. Shortly afterwards, her health took a severe turn. Before her move to this facility, she had been stable and in good health for four years. She transferred here and sadly passed away. My mother visited her every week, but due to her job, she could only manage to visit late at night or on weekends. Simply getting in or out of the facility often took an hour, which was really inconvenient. On the day my aunt died, my mom got a call from someone at Villa Palazzo. The message was that my aunt was found not breathing, but help was en route. My mother spent an hour waiting outside her room. I also joined her and we both stayed outside until we were given permission to enter. To our horror, we found our dear aunt lifeless on the floor. This painful image now serves as my mom's final memory of her. Ever since, we haven't heard a single word from the facility. With great haste, we had to arrange for a funeral home to retrieve her body. It was truly a horrible experience.

"Convenient Location and Good Value for Assisted Living"
We chose this community because it's close to my loved one's condo and doctors. We also liked the affordability. The residents are friendly. The activities are moderate not too busy but not boring either. Today, they were playing Jeopardy in the lobby. Overall, we would recommend it as a great value for an average facility.

"Updated Decor, Food and Communication Need Improvement"
The talking part wasn’t good at all. We felt really let down by how they looked after things and the way they talked to us. They did make the place look nicer though. But the meals were just so-so.

"Cozy and Affordable Assisted Living with Activities and Updates"
The staff is really nice and friendly. The place is not too big, so it feels more like a community. They have a lot of different things to do and they take us out sometimes. The building is older, but they've fixed it up pretty well. They clean our rooms and do our laundry, which is really helpful. I think it's a good place for family and friends to check out.

"Assisted Living Falls Short on Friendliness, Cleanliness, and Care"
The place was okay, but it didn't feel very nice, clean, or friendly. It wasn't the best fit for my family member.

"Lacking Communication and Bright Environment"
The communication needs a lot of improvement, which is our biggest complaint right now. When it comes to the meals, they claim to be chef-inspired, but they all taste processed, and the vegetables are overcooked. The activities are minimal and uninspiring, and the community lacks the happy and bright environment we were hoping for. Also, they are not licensed, which is a big concern for us.

"Community Rules Didn’t Fit"
This place has a nice community, but it didn’t work for my loved one because of the rules.

"New Name, Old Problems: Assisted Living Facility Falls Short"
They've changed the name, but I'm not certain their plans for improving the place reflect the old standards that made it exceptional. The name change itself speaks volumes about the problems here, like staff shortage. This issue should be their first priority. Yes, a lot of people left jobs between 2020 and now, which we understand. However, we're forced to step in to help daily because of the rule requiring a certain number of caregivers per resident. It's good they're upgrading stuff like electronics, televisions, furniture, and even the paint and floors, but with fewer people, it feels like they're coming up short. Instead of spending time on fancy electronic sign-in systems and vet, they need to hire more staff. Offer better pay for different shifts, instead of trying to keep them happy by making their jobs easier. We plan on asking for an updated timeline showing their steps to make things better here.

"Convenient location, fair price, but food could be better"
We picked Village Palazzo because it’s close to her doctor’s office, and the price is worth it. Her room is average-sized, which is enough for her needs. She mentions that there aren’t many fresh fruits and vegetables, and sometimes the food arrives cold, so that could be better. Overall, we would recommend this place to others.

"Unkind Staff and Unprofessional Appearance at Assisted Living Facility"
This facility is neat and pleasant. But sadly, the staff is unkind towards the residents and they speak rudely to them. It seems they're only here for the payments and not to care for the people. They should replace the current staff and bring in a new team. There should be a proper dress code and standards for appearance, including hair. The front desk person needs to look more professional and improve their communication skills with visitors.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Improved Food, Kind Staff, Some Negatives"
The staff here is very nice, but they seem to be short-handed. The food has gotten much better since the new company took over. I personally don't need their medical services, so I can't judge that aspect. However, many residents who do need those services seem happy with their care. There are a few minor issues, but they aren't significant enough to elaborate on. This is my first experience with an assisted living facility, so I can't compare it to others.

"New Ownership, Same Caring Staff"
It’s a safe, peaceful place on the North side of town. The staff communicates well with families through emails, phone calls, and in-person chats. Ownership recently changed.

"Disappointing Staff and Service at Sandy Springs Facility"
The night people working in the second building of the Sandy Springs place are really bad at their jobs and have zero manners. It's like they want the patients to pass on. They don't show any kindness or act professional. They even use rude language right in front of families and those who sit with sick folks for comfort. The people in charge need to look at how well staff are doing their jobs. They need to make sure everyone's doing the work they got hired for at the very least.

"Assisted Living with Apartment Feel, Recommended for Family Happiness"
We really like Sandy Springs Place. My dad enjoys it here and feels happy. It feels more like an apartment than a hospital, which is great. I would suggest it to others who are searching.
