"Abysmal Patient Care at Savannah Square Assisted Living Facility"
If I could give this facility less than zero stars, I would. At Savannah Square, my dad developed serious bedsores of the worst kind. The staff there doesn't seem to pay any mind to the patients, let alone care about them. In the short 5 months that my dad stayed there, management changed hands twice. There's no responsibility or warmth shown by anyone in that place. If my review prevents even one person from experiencing the poor care this facility provides, then I've done my part. Don't let anyone you care about stay at this facility.

"Elderly Mother Left In Cold Despite High Monthly Fee"
My mom, who's 89, has needed her heater replaced since December 30. They've given her three space heaters, and while I might be warm enough, SHE's still cold. She's paying a huge $3000 monthly bill, but can't get her heater fixed. They told us they'd finish yesterday, but because of the weather - big surprise - it's postponed until today. We're hoping for the best.

"Elderly Mother Left Cold paying $3000 for Delayed Heat Repairs"
My grandma, who is 89, has been without proper heating since December 30. They gave her three small heaters, but she is still freezing. She spends more than $3,000 each month for this place and still can't get her heat fixed. We were promised a repair yesterday but it was postponed because of the weather. Today is supposed to be the day – I hope they keep their word.

"Elderly Mother Waiting Months for Heating Repair, Still Cold"
My grandma, who's 89, has been waiting for her new heater since December 30. They gave her three little heaters, so it may seem warm enough to me, but she's still chilly. She's paying more than $3,000 every month but doesn't even have a working heater. They promised they'd fix it yesterday, but because of the weather - big surprise - it got pushed to today. We'll see if it happens; I'm keeping my hopes up.

"Wonderful support and care every step of the way"
My mother-in-law moved into a cozy 2-bedroom cottage here about a year and a half ago. We were super involved with her move, and the staff was so helpful—they even provided some essentials when her moving truck was delayed. We've stayed with her many times, and the dining room meals have been consistently good, with lots of options. Her cottage was beautiful, with granite counters, wood-style floors, spacious rooms, and two nicely set-up full bathrooms. Recently, we had to move her to Savannah Square’s assisted living, and once again, the staff was kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the transition. We’re very happy with her apartment and the care she receives. She enjoys the activities, meals, and thoughtful attention. Medications are given in a very compassionate, professional way. We’re all incredibly pleased! Big thanks to the staff for their great work!

"Happy with Our Move to Savannah Square!"
We are very happy with our move to Savannah Square, and I want to thank A Place for Mom for all their help and guidance. We just moved in three weeks ago, so it’s hard to judge everything we can look forward to. The food is excellent, and I enjoy going to the dining room every day. The people here are friendly and have welcomed us to the community.

A Place for Mom/Dad was super helpful! They found nearby options and connected us with facilities. The staff understood our needs, and we only had to share info once. Courteous, efficient, and quick!

"Troubles at Savannah Square"
Certainly! Here's a revised version of the review in 8th-grade level American English: --- My mom lives at Savannah Square in Savannah, Georgia. I live nearby and often eat with her. But there are several problems with this place: 1. Food Quality: The food here isn't great. It's sometimes dry, not what people ordered, and tastes like it was just dumped in a pot. 2. Maintenance Woes: When residents need repairs, it takes forever—up to three weeks! And the repair folks don't always know what they're doing. 3. Manager's Promises:The manager seems nice, but promises to fix things don't happen for weeks. Overall, the staff is friendly, but you get what you pay for. Maybe the owners should stay here themselves!

"Insufficient Food and Service at Local Assisted Living Facility"
My mom is a resident at Savannah Square, an assisted living facility located in Savannah, Georgia. I'm local to Savannah and frequently visit my mom to share meals and spend quality time together. However, there are several disheartening issues in this facility. Firstly, the food quality is shockingly low. To give you some perspective, the meals served at the local homeless shelter, where I occasionally volunteer, are significantly tastier. The food here often seems stale and incorrectly prepared. The orders are regularly mixed up, and I can’t help but feel that the food is simply transported in bulk, tossed together, and served without much care or attention. Furthermore, the maintenance at this facility leaves a lot to be desired. Imagine a resident needing a repair job done. The standard waiting period can be as long as three weeks, and even then, the person who comes to do it isn't well-equipped to handle the task. The facility manager tries to be understanding. Whenever a complaint is lodged, he promises to help - but it takes an unfortunate amount of time for any change to come about. On a slightly more positive note, the staff members are generally friendly. However, it’s apparent from the level of service that they're not being paid what they deserve. In my interactions, I tend to express my disappointment in the poor management of this community. I don't blame the manager entirely - the ownership must bear much of the fault. Some big company owns this place, and judging from the lack of care, they don't seem to have much of a personal stake in it. I wonder if things would improve drastically if one of their own loved ones had to stay here!

"Kind, caring, and good staff"
I noticed one big issue: the food. My Dad stayed there for a week, but the meals were pretty bad—cold and bland. However, the staff is amazing, kind, and caring. The facility itself is nice, and they take good care of the residents.

"Nice community, overall."
Our time at Savannah Square has been positive. The place looks nice and clean, and the staff is friendly. Our only hiccup was a delay in moving our loved one in.

"Good Rehab Center, Slow On Project Completion."
They say they'll do all you ask, but they take a long time to finish anything. If you can, ask the managers when their projects will be done. If they can't get them done when they say they will, you should ask for a drop in rent. But, the health center and rehab staff are awesome. They were a big help to my mom!

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facilities"
I like that it's safe there. Their apartment is nice, separate from the main building, so it feels independent. The apartment has walk-in showers and plenty of space. I can't judge activities because my in-laws haven't participated. One staff member is great, but the director is slow to respond. Repairs take too long; some things are still broken. Management disappoints us.

"Secure Locale, Slow Management, Inadequate Repairs"
The good things around here are the safe surroundings and the appealing apartment separate from the primary building, providing a sense of freedom my in-laws enjoy. The apartment accommodates walk-in showers, which are plentiful and easy to use. On the topic of scheduled activities, I can't really judge as my in-laws haven't joined any. There's this one staff member who is simply marvelous. However, the head of the place is quite sluggish to respond, needing days to do so. They're also sluggish in fixing stuff. It required three weeks to set straight things before moving in, let alone the things, they haven't managed to fix yet. This lack of urgency with management isn't really pleasing us.

"Tour: Smelled Fine, Helpful Staff, Dark Landscape, Clean Cottages"
I took the whole tour and everything smelled good. The staff was really helpful, and we saw a bunch of units to check out what was available. The location is pretty dark because of all the trees, so it's hard to see the landscape, but the cottages were clean and cozy. Overall, it's a nice place. I'd rate it lower because I don't know what the food is like.

"Very upscale with everything for daily living!"
This place is very upscale, with everything needed for daily living. If it were my choice, I would have already moved her in. Just a few more details to check off, and we will be ready to decide. Big thank you to Cody!

"Cody was super nice!"
Cody was super nice and very helpful. We liked almost everything about the place and couldn't find any complaints. He was a pleasure to work with, but in the end, we preferred the Florida area more.
