"Struggling Assisted Living Facility Faces Staffing and Quality Issues"

None of the bosses take responsibility for their mistakes. They don't finish evaluations or make treatment plans. The cleaning staff needs to be better trained, and the food could be more interesting. They're short-staffed, and the maintenance person ends up cleaning rooms instead of doing their job. Things got worse after and left.

"Mixed Experience at Legacy Savannah Quarters"

I’d recommend Legacy Savannah Quarters, but there are some issues, like in any place. They don’t clean or care for my mom as well as I’d like. If a resident has accidents, their laundry should be done more often, and the aides need to check wet diapers more frequently. The Care Coordinator and nurse left after just three months. It’s a nice place overall, but some staff members are grumpy.

"Stolen clothes and overpriced food at assisted living facility"

I handed over a pile of laundry for washing, but when they returned the basket, every single piece was missing. I made a fuss about it and wrote out all the items that were gone, but I never got reimbursed. Plus, every time we eat, it's full of low-cost fillers like pasta, potatoes, or some sort of bread. This makes the meals way too expensive.

"Mixed experience at assisted living facility with room service charges."

The place looks nice, food's good, and it's clean. Watch out for extra charges, and staff can be slow. No discounts if your family member's in the hospital. Still waiting for my refund after a few months. They might also hike up the monthly fees. The management was changing when I was there. They promised to get back to you but took forever. Hopefully, with the new boss, things will be better. The caregivers are friendly but not always fast. You can choose meals, but they charge for room service, which adds up.

Nice, clean place with friendly daytime staff. Memory care unit needs better food service compared to the main senior living facility next door. Admin staff are helpful, but billing communication could improve. Daytime nursing staff are kind, but nighttime staff could use better customer service.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Community"

We chose this community because, back when we made the decision, it seemed like the best fit. But after my loved one moved in, things haven't been as great as we expected. Although we know no place can truly replace the home they lived in for almost 60 years, there have been some incidents that left us unhappy. The facility is quite large, and my loved one's vision has worsened, so they don't participate in the activities included in the monthly fee. Considering the global staffing shortage, they're doing their best. The recent staff changes might improve things. A Place for Mom was helpful in finding the right place for our loved one.

"Neglect and Indifference: Terrible experience at assisted living facility"

This place was just awful. When I'd go to see my mom, I would stay with her in her room for nearly a whole day. No one ever showed up to help her or see if she was okay. They'd tell me they helped her shower, but she had on the same clothes as before, without any used towels in sight? I tried to reach out to the person in charge here, sending calls and texts, but never got a response. In the end, we decided to put up cameras in mom's room (the boss knew about this and there was even a sign on her door). We'd see the helpers just hanging around, sitting on my mom's walker and couch. They were even eating her ice cream and not giving her the help she needed in her kitchen. They wouldn't even bring her walker to her (my mom falls easily and really needs it) because they were busy sitting on it. Whenever my mom had to be taken to the hospital, she'd return with all her medications messed up. Sometimes, they wouldn't offer her any meals, or assist her with anything. Her emergency button didn't work so they gave her a whistle instead. She ended up falling, covered in blood, too weak to use it or call for help. She even fractured her skull!

"Facility Gets Thumbs Up!"

I liked the place overall. Security was good, and they took good care of my mom. The activities weren’t amazing, but some staff were better than others. I’d still recommend it to others.

"HVAC Disappointment at Legacy Savannah Quarters Assisted Living"

I mostly liked it, but I was really let down by the HVAC system at Legacy Savannah Quarters.

"Lackluster Assisted Living Experience"

Unless your family member can really take care of themselves, I wouldn't recommend this assisted living community for residents with early diagnosed memory care needs. The staff is often short-staffed, and they don't check on our loved one as promised—only three times a day during meals and medication drop-offs. Communication with the staff is poor, and they don't address our questions or concerns.

"“Clean, Caring Assisted Living”"

The place is really clean, like a fancy hotel. It smells nice too. Our family is happy with the care our loved one gets. The staff talks to us well. They’re quick to fix any problems we have.

"Racial Bias and Terrible Staff at Assisted Living Facility"

Staff show racial bias, and their employment should be reconsidered. [Name removed] is in Human Resources, and [name removed] serves lunch. They are both awful and should be removed from their positions. My biggest advice is to avoid this facility.
