"Unexpected price hikes at Silver Comet Senior Village."
We were about to shift my family member to Silver Comet Senior Village, but things didn't go as planned. The Executive Director really annoyed me. Just before we were about to move in, the ED kept switching the prices on us. I'm glad we found out their real plans before we moved our family member in, and I have a strong feeling this facility does this all the time. If you choose this place, I strongly suggest getting all prices and care plans in writing. Be sure to look over their papers thoroughly before you finalize the move for your family member.

"Silver Comet Senior Village: A Mixed Experience"
The staff at Silver Comet Senior Village is nice and friendly. Sometimes, though, they forget things even when we remind them. The place is clean, but talking to family can be confusing. When we moved in, we had to do everything ourselves. The food is good, but they don’t offer low-sodium or special meals. They use different pharmacies, which can be expensive and time-consuming. If you need a haircut or nails done, it’s hard to schedule. Silver Comet is okay, but residents are mostly on their own. It’s like a comfortable place for the elderly until they pass away. There’s no nurse, just wellness staff. Be cautious about choosing this place if you need extra help. It’s better for independent residents. They’re still new and need more professionals.

I think Silver Comet Village is a good choice if you can afford it. The person who talked to me about the facility was really clever, but they didn’t lie. However, some financial matters weren’t clear until after I moved in. The housekeeping is great, and the food is good quality.

This place is pretty good overall, and I’d recommend it. The staff is amazing—they genuinely care about the residents’ well-being. However, be sure to discuss expenses with the sales and executive directors. Unexpected charges caught me off guard, even after requesting an invoice. My bad—I asked the wrong person.

"Great Activities, Price Transparency Needed"
Our experience with the meals and dining service has been really good. Our loved one has a special diet, so sometimes the meals can be a bit challenging. The facility offers a ton of activities like bingo, board games, and holiday events. They even celebrate everyone’s birthdays each month. They’re great at helping residents socialize. One thing they could improve is being more transparent about price changes for care levels. Families shouldn’t be caught off guard by sudden price increases.

"Affordable luxury with room for improvement, excellent staff communication."
This place is really nice for the price. It looks like a fancy hotel and costs less than we expected for this area. The changes in management and how they handle billing make our family a little worried, but we hope things get better. The staff has been good at keeping us informed! There are lots of options for the residents, including two meals included. They can also do things like play cards or bingo, watch movies, do art projects, garden, go on trips, and more.
