"Great care with minor concerns; parents are happy and active"
Overall, everything has been good. The communication is clear, and I only have a minor concern about how they handle medication, but it’s not a big issue. Before moving in, my dad was a bit cranky, but now he’s happy at Summer Breeze. My parents are still independent and have their own space, but there’s always help available when they need it. I don’t feel like they’ve been ignored or left out. The activities are fun, and the staff does a great job reminding them to join in. My parents also love the food.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Overall, we were pretty happy with it, but in the end, it left a bad taste in our mouth. Our loved one passed away in February, and after her funeral, the entire state shut down due to COVID. This community wanted us to pay for the last month of service, but since everything was closed, we couldn't access the bank to pay them. Given the circumstances, we wish they had been more understanding and accommodating.

"Individualized Care Shines in Cozy Memory Unit"
The memory care unit isn't very bright and cheery. However, with only 16 residents, there's excellent individualized care.

"Late notice, unhelpful response; inadequate facilities for mobility challenges."
I'm really upset with Summer Breeze. They told us just a day before we had to get my dad out, even before Chatham Emergency Management said so. When we said we weren't ready because they told us so late, they just said to get a hotel in Savannah. But there's no rooms left that are good for someone like my dad. That's just not right.

"Sudden Evacuation Notice by Summer Breeze, Unfair"
Really let down by Summer Breeze. They told us just a day before that we would have to get my dad, who can't move around by himself, out of there two days before Chatham Emergency Management said anyone needed to get out. We explained that we weren't ready to evacuate him with so little warning, but they told us to just get a hotel room in Savannah since our house isn't set up for someone who has trouble moving. All the hotel rooms like that were already taken. This was so not cool.

"Wonderful place with friendly staff"
The staff here have been really nice to my mom. She loves the place and always talks about how beautiful the outside is and how friendly the new groundskeepers are (I think she chats with them whenever they’re outside working). Keep up the good work and thanks for taking great care of my mom.

"Decent Facility But Not The Right Match"
My mom briefly stayed at this community where some staff changes occurred. The team was kind and kind of professional, but it felt like they were just there to work. The person in charge was really great. However, they did face a few office problems. The place was nice but not the right match for my mom.

"Good community, distant location"
We visited Summer Breeze while looking for my uncle. It's a pleasant community, but a bit far from where we'd like to be.

The staff here are amazing at caring for my tough parent. They keep the rooms and her space clean. They are super helpful and kind to family members too. The other residents are friendly and happy, which makes it even better. The rooms are bright, spacious, and comfortable, and the common areas are great.

"Unsatisfactory care and rising costs at Summer Breeze."
Really disappointed. Most of the medical helpers aren't very nice or careful with the residents. I often have to ask why my dad hasn't gotten his bath or been shaved. One helper was really rough with my dad and I had to tell the boss. The only reason I haven't moved him is because he's on hospice care and this place is near my house. I feel like I have to visit at random times to make sure he's getting the help we're paying for. They're even making us pay $600.00 more each month even though the care isn't getting better. They want $2.00 for every meal each day if you eat in your room, even though my dad can't go to the dining room because he's on hospice and has very bad Parkinson's disease. The bosses don't seem to care about the residents, but the nurse on shift is really good. If my dad wasn't on hospice, I'd surely move him and I wouldn't tell anyone to waste their money on Summer Breeze.

"Neglected and Overcharged at Summer Breeze Assisted Living Facility"
I'm not really happy with this place. Most of the healthcare helpers aren't very nice or careful with the people living there. I always have to ask why my dad hasn't gotten his bath or been shaved. One helper was too rough with my dad, which made me report to the boss. If dad wasn't under special care and the place wasn't so near my house, I'd move him. I feel I need to visit at random times to make sure he's getting what we pay for. His rent is going up $600.00/month even though the service we're paying for is getting worse. They ask for extra $2.00 per meal each day for food served in his room, even when dad is seriously ill and can't leave his room. The bosses don't seem to care about what's happening with the people there, but the nurse on shift does a great job. If dad wasn't in special care now, I'd definitely move him and wouldn't suggest anyone use their money on Summer Breeze.

"Decent Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
My grandma lives at Summer Breeze Senior Living. The care is okay. She mostly enjoys it. They organize outings and provide transportation to Wal-Mart and other stores. She takes several medications, but they couldn't find one of them. Overall, it's been a decent experience, though they could improve their care services.

"Mixed Feelings About Summer Breeze Senior Living"
My grandma stays at Summer Breeze Senior Living. The care is okay. She mostly likes it. They take her out and provide rides to places like Wal-Mart. She has many medicines she has to take. She gets most of them, but not all. Overall, it's been alright. They could do better with the care.

"Impressed by facility and staff near home, money concerns persist."
I liked the facility and the staff. It's really close to our home. If we had to choose, this would probably be the one. But money is still an issue.
