"Warm and Safe Assisted Living"

Our family really appreciates how friendly and safe Sunrise of Buckhead is. Based on our experience so far, we’d recommend it to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

"Some Care Expectations Not Met, But Overall Satisfactory"

I think when you first start looking for an assisted living place, you have ideas about how much care they will give. For me, some surprises were about things like making sure my loved one gets to doctor appointments. They really prefer not to help with that, which was quite a surprise to me. With Covid and being short-staffed, there have been some minor lapses in care, like Foley catheter issues. Sometimes it feels like they lose focus a bit. But I guess it's hard without enough staff.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"

The staff was really friendly and useful. I appreciated the location, but my mom isn’t a fan of the wandering animals.

"Unfulfilled Promises and Lack of Compassion at Assisted Living Facility"

This place promised to look after my mom well and manage any problems. They failed. The initial sales pitch was far from the reality we faced after moving in. Nobody showed any sympathy when my mom passed away. I don't suggest this place to anyone.

"Lackluster Care and Food Quality at Sunrise Buckhead"

Don't choose Sunrise at Buckhead. The care provided by the community lacks focus on residents. Despite seeming friendly, management tenure might contribute to the issue. Food quality is mediocre at best.

"Clean community, caring staff, good value"

They have always kept the community clean. The staff really cares about the residents and shows genuine concern for them. We think Sunrise At Buckhead is a good value for the price.

"A knowledgeable sales director but lacking in social interaction"

The sales director really knew his stuff about senior living. The place is clean and tidy but it seems too much like a traditional nursing home. They do not have a workout center for physical therapy, which my mom needs and has been using. I want her somewhere that gets her more involved socially.

The sales rep at Sunrise Community was helpful. Low staff turnover, organized administration, pretty building. First impression positive.

"My Tour of Victorian Charm"

The staff I met during the tour were super friendly. The community looks like a charming old Victorian home, with well-maintained grounds and cozy common areas. However, it didn't feel as lively as we hoped.

"Sunrise of Buckhead: A caring place for loved ones!"

Sunrise of Buckhead is a really nice place. Everyone who works there seems happy and always smiles and talks to the residents. If you have a problem, just tell your caregiver, and they will take care of it. My husband is happy here, which is my main goal. We are hoping he can get well enough to come home. He needs exercise to get strong, and Sunrise provides that. Sunrise also brings in Home Health Care if your loved one needs extra help. We have a Home Health nurse come three times a week, plus a physical therapist and occupational therapist two times a week. Sunrise arranged all of this for us. It was hassle-free and stress-free. We have been in three nursing homes and rehab facilities, and Sunrise is the best. We didn’t know that an assisted living facility could care for someone like my husband, but they can and they do! Thank you, Senior Advisor!

"Great community, but layout wasn't right for Mom"

This community was great, and everyone was super nice, answering all our questions. We just felt like it wasn't the perfect fit, and the layout didn't seem right for Mom. It was nice to see happy residents out and about, though!

"Caring staff and great care make Sunrise At Buckhead exceptional"

Sunrise At Buckhead has been a great place for my mom to recover after her hospital stay. She’ll be there for 30 days, and the caring staff have really helped her regain her strength. They’re always encouraging, and they know not just my mom’s name, but also mine and my brother’s. The food, activities, staff, and overall care have exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a good place for an elderly family member.

"Warm and caring community for loved ones' comfort and care."

I visited this place and got all my questions answered. The people working there were nice and really cared about the residents. I think families should visit to see if it's a good fit for their loved ones' care and worth the money.

"Lovely Place, But Too Big!"

My tour of Sunrise At Buckhead went really well. The place was very nice and well kept. The main reason we chose another place is because we wanted something smaller with a more personal level of care.

"Great place with good food and activities for everyone!!!"

Mom has been at this community for a little while, and I really like it so far. The food is tasty, and the chef really cares about his cooking. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. The community is clean and well-maintained.

"Great care and fun activities at this community!"

My husband is doing well at this community. He enjoys joining in on some of the activities they have. I would definitely recommend this clean place. The staff are friendly and really pay attention to his needs.

We’re really happy with Sunrise at Buckhead so far it’s a great place! The staff are friendly and caring, and the building is clean and well-maintained. They do a great job with the food too! It’s both tasty and healthy, with special attention to dietary needs like low sodium. Overall, it’s a wonderful place and they do an excellent job!

"Overall, It's very nice."

I believe they make more promises than they can keep. The staff who help people are limited. Overall, it's a very pleasant place. It's well-organized and the facility is really clean. Everyone there is friendly, both the residents and the staff. The value is pretty good. I recommend Sunrise At Buckhead to anyone seeking a nice community. My experience has been positive overall.

"Great, Clean, Friendly Choice"

My husband had a hard time settling in. I feel they could have checked on him a bit more often. They do provide training for the caregivers, but I think some could use a little more experience. Even so, it's a very clean and friendly place. Overall, I’d rate them highly. It was the right choice for us; he just declined quickly and recently passed away as I’m writing this.

"Friendly and nice, but chose another community."

We visited Sunrise at Buckhead when considering care for a family member. We also checked out a few other Sunrise communities nearby. Everyone there was really nice, and the place looked good. Although we picked a different place, this one seemed like they take good care of their residents.

"Staff Lacks Care; Head Nurse Tough to Handle"

I really don't suggest this place to anyone. I've only had terrible experiences with the people working here. The caregivers seem like they're only there for the paycheck and don't show any concern for the residents. The head nurse is especially tough to interact with.

"Beautiful Place"

This place is really nice, and it costs about the same as other places we considered. But since more of our family is in the New York/New Jersey area, we decided that would be a better spot for my mom. She'll have more visitors up there—it's purely a geographic choice.

"Costly Distance"

The place was nice, but we felt it cost too much. It took forever to visit, and we wished it was closer. Dad was okay there, but he had two hip surgeries and ended up in a wheelchair. Mom was in the memory care unit, which was fine, but still too far and expensive.

My parents are joining activities, which is great because they were very isolated before. They were ready to move to a place like this. I had to find a good facility for them since both use walkers, and I was getting desperate. Nothing felt right until I got here; I even had tears in my eyes. The environment is really nice and feels like home. There are many activities for everyone to join. The staff knows everyone by name, including me, so it feels like a family. Leaving what you know can be hard, but my dad has found people with similar interests. I was so excited when he told me my mom was going out to lunch with some ladies.

"Consistent, Experienced Caregivers Make This Assisted Living Stand Out"

This place has been really flexible with my mom, which is great. What I really like is that they have a staff who have been working here for a long time. The person in charge of the memory care floor has been here almost since they opened, and she even trains staff at other places owned by Sunrise. Having such experienced staff is usually a good thing for older people. Overall, I've been happy with this place. I know from my own experience and from being around my grandparents that nothing is perfect, but this place is really good. They really make an effort.

"FANTASTIC!!"

They were really fantastic. I've told so many people about them. They truly deserve high marks across the board! What made the difference was the staff. They were genuinely nice and patient and went above and beyond any expectations. They all went out of their way to help my mother.

"Great Place for Seniors to Live"

I really like this assisted living facility. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The rooms are nice and clean, and the food is pretty good too. They have fun activities for the residents, which keeps everyone busy and happy. It's a great place for my loved one to live, and I feel good knowing they are well taken care of.

"Bistro on Site, Otherwise Reminiscent of the Gardens, Activities Cost Extra"

The place has a bistro, but apart from that, it's much like the Gardens. You'll have to pay more for activities.
