"“Similar Assisted Living Facilities Need Vigilance for Best Care”"
It’s an okay place, but honestly, they’re all pretty similar. If you don’t keep an eye on your family member, they might not receive the best care.

"Reliable Facility, Would Revisit If Needed"
The place was really on top of their schedule and worked hard to help everyone live their best life no matter what they could do. The building was super clean, too. It’s cool that as people get older, they can stay there without stress. If we had to, we’d definitely pick this place again.

"Inconsistent Service at Assisted Living Facility"
Sometimes they don't do what they promise. I noticed the executive director and other workers parking in spots meant for families and newcomers. I once asked the director for an update but never got a response. Maybe they dealt with it internally, but I wasn't informed. On the bright side, they're good at reminding about low medication. However, they're not always prompt in attending to my loved one's health needs, like showers. Even though the head nurse notes things in the computer, it doesn't always translate into action, possibly due to understaffing. I'm not sure if they're actively hiring or facing financial pressure. Despite rising costs, they're locked into a rate for a year. My loved one often shares negative experiences more than positive ones.

"Stay away from gloomy Sunrise of East Cobb!"
Sunrise of East Cobb was worse than terrible and looked so gloomy. We didn't enjoy our tour at all and based on what we saw, we wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Pricey and chaotic with no outdoor views mixed experience."
The place charges separately for everything, which ended up costing us more than we hoped. Also, it felt pretty disorganized. Another downside was that the rooms didn't have a view of a patio; instead, they overlooked a sunroom.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Sunrise"
Sunrise was the closest to our home, so we hoped to like it best. But the person who was supposed to give us the tour couldn't make it, so someone else, who usually doesn't do tours, showed us around. We couldn't see the rooms, and it was kinda messy. However, there were lots of activities happening, so it seemed like people were enjoying their time there.

"Memory Care Unit Lacks Inclusive Services and Communication"
I’d search for a place that offers everything without extra fees. The way the staff talked with our family wasn’t great. I wouldn’t suggest the memory care part of this place to anyone.

""Overlooked Care and Lack of Structure in Memory Unit""
The person in charge of activities was the only one who really stood out. We had a room to ourselves, but still, I wouldn't suggest this place. They didn't treat my family member the way I expected. There was almost no organization in the memory care unit, which made things tough for them.

"Critique: Poor Care, High Costs, and Negligence at Assisted Living Facility"
I honestly don't believe my brother was well looked after here. I attempted to reach them multiple times but received no callbacks. Out of the blue, they transferred him to the memory unit without our consent and bumped up his care expenses. When I visited his room, it usually smelled awful and seemed poorly maintained. On top of that, we noticed his clothes disappearing after laundry days. Sure, the employees were nice to us and mostly acted considerate. But they fell short in being carefully watchful of my brother's wellbeing and meeting his needs. It's true that they had community activities, even though I never personally witnessed them and my brother participated only sometimes. Once he got shifted to the memory care, those activities ceased entirely. The service here just doesn't justify the cost. We wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Concerns Over Space and Care Costs"
The living spaces are really small, and I’m worried they won’t have enough staff to look after him properly, especially if he stays in his room all the time. Also, if they think he should go to a special area for memory issues, which I’m afraid they might, it’s going to be too expensive for me.

"Affordable and nice but not worth switching for similar pricing."
This place is nice and we thought it would be great for our mom. But it doesn't really make sense for us to move her here now because it costs about the same as where she is. If we were going to save a lot of money each month, then it would be worth considering.

"Great care and kindness at Sunrise of East Cobb!"
I am very happy with the care my mom receives at Sunrise. Everyone there is so kind and friendly to her. At first, she didn’t want to live in an assisted living home, but now that she is there and has adjusted, she sees that it’s the best place for her. Plus, the burden of taking care of her has been lifted from me. I was so stressed until I found Sunrise, and they are amazing!

"Pay elsewhere: subpar care & frequent staff changes."
This place demands a hefty sum for nursing home services. My relative has endured terrible care here - they've been victims of theft, negligence during incontinence incidents, frequent falls, and more. Although the facility appears impressive, the staff are woefully inept and there is a high turnover of higher-up employees. This place needs an entirely new workforce or it may have to close down - people's lives are at stake. While my relative may be elderly, I'm not prepared to have them pass away due to anything but natural causes.

"Pull Cord Didn't Work: Untruthful About Available Care"
My granny recently died. We don't think this place could give her the help she needed. We were super honest about the type of help she needed from the beginning. They told us they could offer her great care. They use a pull cord system for when folks need help. But when we were there daily, and pulled that cord, nothing happened. I think they should've been more truthful about the care they could give.

"Comfortable and Improved Care in Senior Living Community"
My mom's been here for about 3 weeks now. We moved her from another place nearby that didn't give her the right care. I like that here they have different people for personal care and medicine. The process of moving in was great. The people who work here are nice, and I appreciate that one caregiver looks after my mom's overall well-being. But, I wish they'd keep me updated without me having to ask. Sometimes it's hard to tell if mom's not cooperating or if they're not doing their job properly. Mom's picky about these things. She likes how cozy it feels here, and she loves her big apartment. She does think most of the other residents are older than her (she's 78), but many of them have trouble getting around, like her.

"Happy with Sunrise Assisted Living"
Sunrise is a very nice place. The director helped me sign up my mom, and the staff is friendly. The food is excellent, but there were a few issues with Mom's alarm pendant. Some medical details weren't shared with the staff. Overall, it's a good facility, and we're glad we found Sunrise during our time of need.

"Perfect place with amazing staff and beautiful facility!"
They did an amazing job here! It was the best place for our loved one. The staff were super kind at all levels, from the managers to the aides. They worked well together and also coordinated nicely with the hospice service when we needed it. The facility was beautiful, clean, and well-kept. She had a nice big window to look out of, and even though she couldn’t join in the activities, they often had music events that she could hear from her room.

"Poor Care and Service: Wouldn't Recommend, Not Satisfactory"
I really can't suggest this place. They phoned me and said she had a fall and was hurt. But when I saw her, I realized it wasn't a fall. She had a definite hand-shaped bruise -that's when their story switched. They can't seem to handle the laundry and the cleanliness of the place is questionable. The food was subpar and always served cold to the memory care section. It wasn't a good scene.

"Memory Care at Sunrise East Cobb—A Good Experience"
My mother moved to Sunrise East Cobb after a broken hip, surgery, and rehab. She went into the Memory care unit called Reminiscence. I chose a companion suite, which was just okay. The staff in memory care are excellent, but like any facility, you need to stay on top of things to ensure the best care. I would highly recommend this facility. The caring staff and advanced methods for stimulation are above average.

"12-Hour Nursing Care and High Costs at Assisted Living Facility"
This place has nurses only for 12 hours. If someone needs help after hours, a nurse can come only if needed. It doesn't have round-the-clock nursing care. They ask for a one-time, non-returnable fee of $2,500. This must be paid two weeks before moving in. They offer a shared space called Companion Studio with a common bathroom and kitchen for $2,550/month. A private studio is $3,300/month which is bigger than what my Dad used to live in. They charge $35 each for cable and phone services monthly. For six or more types of medication, the cost is $18/day or about $640/month. The fee for the initial level of assisted living is $480/month. They also hold various activities every month.

"Enjoyed Assisted Living Facility But Disliked Unclear, Changing Pricing"
We liked this place, the one-bedroom plan was our favorite. They didn't tell me how much it costs so I'll have to ask again later. We chatted with some folks who live there, and they really enjoy it. We also got to meet a cool dog who lives there too :). Finally got to know the rates, and I wasn't too happy. They charge you every day for your room, add more costs for personal care and then more for medicine control. I'd rather just pay one set amount each month, and not have it change.
