"Lack of Proper Care and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
He never received a warm meal. You have to watch the staff closely to ensure they do everything they're supposed to. Medications are only given when patients ask. Sometimes, he couldn't ask verbally, so he missed out.

"Stressful Experience at Assisted Living Facility Leads to Swift Move"
I relied on reviews when choosing a memory care center for my dad. I was drawn in by the friendly workers and positive comments. But, it was a disaster once we actually started living there. We had to move my dad out after just two weeks because of the terrible care he received, which I have pictures to prove. He fell a lot, his meds were always messed up, the staff hardly ever communicated, and we were constantly making unnecessary trips to the hospital. There were also not many activities for him there. The place is pretty nice with big rooms and some decent staff, but the over-abundance of new faces every day messes up the important communication needed for good care. We moved my dad to Vitality at Milton and are so much happier with the personal care, control over his meds, and much improved communication. I deeply regret those awful two weeks my dad had to suffer and hope I can spare another family from this experience.

"Avoid This Expensive, Unprofessional Assisted Living Facility!"
I had to move my dad to his third assisted living home and this place was really bad. The food is gross and hard to figure out what it is. We had to pay a lot of money just to live there, but the heat didn't work in my dad's apartment for almost two weeks. I had to bring him a heater myself. The door lock broke and wasn't fixed for 5 months. The people in charge lie and they won't tell you what's going on with your loved one. When I talked to them about problems, they were mean and didn't act professional. I finally met with two bosses and a worker from the company who was really unpleasant. They told me I couldn't even talk about what happened before, like when someone died. I totally wouldn't waste any time with this place. It's super expensive and they don't act professional at all.

"Family's Positive Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
When our family toured the facility, it was excellent. They didn't have rooms then, but our loved one moved in a few months ago, and it's been good.

"Recommended by doctor, friendly, long-tenured staff"
I chose The Phoenix at Milton on my doctor's recommendation. Long-tenured, friendly staff; recommend to others.

"Poor Quality Assisted Living Facility"
I'd advise against going here. The quality is really bad. There aren't enough staff or proper care, and everything feels wrong. One night, there was nobody around, and it was a terrible experience. The only positive was the director being a good person, and the PT/OT services were excellent.

"A Pleasant Choice with Slight Distance"
The Phoenix at Milton was just as nice as the other Phoenix location we picked. It had the same amenities, but was a bit farther away.

"Mixed Communication, Hopeful Prospects"
The communication isn't great, but with the new director, I'm hopeful. Consider your loved one's needs and check if the community can provide the care. If so, I'd recommend it.

"Terrible Assisted Living Facility Neglected Family Member's Basic Needs"
I had a webcam in my dad's room. I constantly had to talk about the inconsistent care. It would improve briefly, then they'd neglect him again. My dad needed special help and this was the only facility in a 50-mile range that would accept him. Otherwise, I would've moved him. Less than three months into the covid lockdown, he lost over 30 pounds because they weren't feeding him but didn't inform us. We asked numerous times about his eating and they said he was okay. From the camera, I saw he was thinner but didn't realize how severe it was until we were allowed in. They finally let us visit 25 hours before he passed away. My dad was there for TWO YEARS. When he was lying there struggling to breathe in his final moments, the facility's director didn't even take the time to check on my elderly mom, who was at her husband's side for the past 55 years. They only seem to care when your money is coming in. As soon as they see you’re not a source of income anymore, they treat you poorly. If you have other choices, steer clear of this place!
