"High Turnover and Management Issues in Assisted Living Facility"

The turnover rate is high. They struggle with Assisted Living, favoring independent residents. Management and finances are poorly handled. Residents and some staff are friendly but turnover is frequent.

"Shocking Neglect at Alpharetta Village Park Senior Living"

We've never been so let down by a place like Alpharetta Village Park Senior Living! They completely deceived our dad, who relied on them to look after the woman he loved after he passed away exactly one week upon moving in. You and your team totally dropped the ball on EVERYTHING. From moving in (supposedly with peace of mind) up to the time we left! We paid for a full month's service, and we've already settled our mom in a new home! The last straw was when your employees instructed me to stop by on a certain date (date taken out), knowing full well that I was battling a highly infectious disease. They expected me to care for my mom since they simply couldn't, despite the danger of me transmitting it to her, or other residents living there. It was startling that they would let me do such a thing! Furthermore, they said we'd need to arrange 24/7 care for her, because they couldn't provide for her, especially dealing with the sorrow of losing her spouse of 54 years. At her new living quarters, she's truly flourishing!!

"Decline in Quality and Management at Village Park Assisted Living"

My folks, who both sadly departed, were some of the first pairs to settle into Village Park around seven years back. Initially, everything seemed fine as it was well-run. Sadly, it's really gone downhill over the last three years due to a lack of good overall leadership. As I was looking after my parents' money matters, I frequently went over the VP bills, which had a lot of errors. Fixing them was always a battle, and the slip-ups always seemed to favor Village Park. Plus, there's been a huge increase in staff leaving, and the meal quality's been falling slowly. Considering the sky-high monthly rent, along with loads of other care service costs, you'd think Village Park would be one of the top assisted living places in Georgia. Unfortunately, it's anything but, and I'd say you'd best find something else.

"Exorbitant Rates and Poor Customer Service at Village Park"

Let's start with the good stuff - it's plain to see that the building and grounds of Village Park are well taken care of. The people living there seem friendly too. However, my parents, who recently passed away, lived at Village Park for a long time. I don't have an exact number, but I know they spent an insane amount of dollars there. And remember - you don't own anything, you're just paying rent. Considering all that money they spent, which is similar to what you'd pay at a super fancy hotel, you'd think the service would be above and beyond. But that's just not true. They messed up the billing statements all the time and, surprise surprise, those mistakes always helped the company, not the folks living there. They didn't deliver on promises and didn't seem to care much either. I wouldn't say any of this when my parents were alive, but now, I just want to warn other people. Prepare to pay big bucks for mediocre service.

"Struggling Staff, Unmet Promises, Great Location"

Sadly, they’re really struggling with having enough staff. What they provide isn’t the same as what’s promised in their ads. We’re trying to deal with these problems. But we do really like where it’s located.

"Assisted Living Disappointments at Village Park of Alpharetta"

Village Park of Alpharetta convinced us it was the best choice for Assisted Living, blending with Independent Living. But, the support for Assisted Living falls short. Services like medication management lack consistency and personalization, crucial for residents with conditions like dementia. Staff shortages are evident, and their pay seems inadequate given the high costs. Communication breakdowns between staff and caregivers add frustration. Seeking updates feels like a hassle, with staff treating inquiries as burdensome. We're contemplating relocating our loved one due to declining health. Village Park of Alpharetta may not suit those needing Assisted Living or Memory Care.

"Poor Communication and Care at This Memory Care Facility"

My stepdad was in the memory care section of this place for two months. I can't talk about the assisted living part, it might be better. There wasn't much interaction between the workers and us, his family. I couldn't get a call back when I had a question or when I asked for something special for my stepdad. The boss, Miss [name removed], wasn't nice at all. The owner, [name removed], didn't even try to solve problems. When I took my stepdad home, I was shocked at how long his toenails were. No one told me how to get someone to come out and give him a pedicure. I didn't think to ask. You'd think these people, who look after old folks all day, would have said something. And that's just one complaint. I have way more issues with this place.

"Conditions at the facility are poor, with numerous unfulfilled promises."

This facility is seriously terrible. The meals are unpalatable for residents. There've been instances where the dining hall closes without prior notice and the promise of delivering food ultimately results in residents enduring hunger all night with no food coming through. Residents find themselves without warm water and must schedule showers around periods when the temperature might be higher. They've even had to set up google nest cameras due to unknown individuals intruding their apartments. The activity coordinator can't read, making it impossible to play games. The staff retention is shockingly poor. In the past six months, we've seen a change of several directors, three chefs, and many other personnel. The swimming pool has been out of service over a year now. They pinch pennies anywhere possible, sacrificing the quality of residents' lives. Ignore the flattering words they use to convince you during your visit; they are utterly groundless.

"Inconsistent Care at High-Cost Assisted Living"

I want to start off by saying I didn’t expect a lot from this place because of what I’ve seen before, but my family member picked Village Park. This place has had three different Directors since last October and they’re struggling with staff and money, which doesn’t make sense for what it costs. The care they give isn’t steady or like what they promise in their ads. If you’re looking for reliable care, this isn’t the right spot. We often have to remind them to provide the care they’re supposed to. The people living here are really sweet and friendly. But there’s a lot of new faces on the staff all the time, making it tough to say how good they are.

"Mixed Experience in Memory Care Facility"

Memory care is challenging for everyone. Some days are good, others not so much. The staff are good at keeping families informed and bringing in extra help when necessary. Activities are mostly okay. The food could use improvement—it's often served lukewarm or cold.

"Needs More Staff, Lacks Care"

This place didn't have enough workers. My family member couldn't join activities, although the calendar seemed busy. The place looks nice, and the apartments are attractive, but they don't have enough staff. They shouldn't say they're an assisted living community yet. If you want to live on your own, this could be okay, but for the money and the care they're missing, it's not worth it.

"Beautiful facility, lacks personal touch, better for solitude, pricey."

We had a nice tour of Village Park. The place looks great and has amazing amenities. It felt less personal though. It's better if your loved one prefers more solitude than a family-like environment. It was too pricey for what we wanted.

"Apartment Layouts Need Improvement"

This place was decent, but the apartment layouts need improvement. The kitchen area takes up unnecessary space that should be part of the sitting room floor. This applies to both one-bedroom and studio models.

"Feels Like a High-End Hotel"

Nice combination of senior and assisted living. The cottage was impressive. Feels like a Ritz Carlton or other high-end hotel. Pricing matches a high-end facility.

"A Nice But Impractical Location with Limited Nature and Gym Equipment"

Good Facility, But Far From Key Places and Lacks Nature". The place is gorgeous, clean, inviting, and everyone seems friendly. I'm really into how the buildings are designed and the layout of them. The eating spaces were enjoyable and well-planned. The gym is pretty cool too, though I wish there were more than just 2 treadmills. Unfortunately, the location doesn’t work well for my folks. The distance from Clairmont Road, where they go to church, and Gwinnett Medical, where their doctors are, is just too much to manage. Plus, the surroundings aren't very appealing. My mom is crazy about gardens and trees but here, when you step outside, all you hear is traffic from the GA 400 highway racing past the few trees planted as barriers.

"Excellent Area for Young Business People"

From what I can see, it looks really nice so far, and the plans seem great. But there’s still a lot of work to be done. If I were a future resident, I’d worry about traffic. The property sits at the corner of Morris Road (with lots of offices and a bus depot) and Webb Bridge (a narrow residential street). It’s already super crowded with three schools, two daycares, and another one on the way (lots of school buses). Apart from that, it’s a fantastic city with easy highway access, plenty of shops, and entertainment in the area.

"Decent, Yet Expensive Facility Still Under Construction"

It's a decent place, but a bit costly. Plus, the fact that they're still building it makes the timing off.
