Woodleaf Senior Care
Jim Palmer
"Woodleaf’s care gave peace of mind and became family."
When my Dad died unexpectedly in 2015, I wondered, "What will happen to Mom?" He had always been her main support, taking care of her through many health problems. After his death, my brother and I worried about how Mom would manage emotionally, mentally, and physically. But Mom surprised us by being strong and resilient. She kept going, even though she felt lonely in their big house. Since Mom has always been social, she knew moving to an assisted living facility would help her. Finding the right place in Thomasville was easier than I thought. When we visited Woodleaf Senior Care, we saw a place full of love, respect, and excellent care. As a geriatric social worker, I know how hard it can be to find the right facility. I can tell when care is genuinely heartfelt, and that's what we saw at Woodleaf from the start. The staff and team are committed to meeting the needs of each resident. They seem to have a special knack for understanding each person's needs and providing personalized care. Living out of state, I feel at ease knowing Woodleaf takes great care of Mom. The staff and Mom’s new friends there have quickly become like family. They’ve shown they truly care about her well-being and happiness. For this, I am very thankful.

"Remarkable Staff, But More Activities Needed"
Woodleaf is a great place! My sister has been there for over a year now. They did raise her rent, but we got it back to the original price. The cost is a bit high, but I understand that living expenses have gone up. I love it there and wish I could afford to live there when I'm older. I'm very impressed with them. The only thing is, I wish there were more activities. They stopped the exercise program because most residents are too old, but my sister is still active. It would be nice if there were more things for her to do, even though she's just one of 80 residents. Woodleaf is clean and the staff is amazing! I would live there myself and wouldn't put my sister anywhere I wouldn't go.
