"Disgusting Conditions and Bad Care at High-Cost Plaza Waikiki"

This place looks nice and clean when you first see it, but don't let the look of the lobby trick you into letting someone you love be cared for on the Halia Memory Care Floor. My mom moved in when it first opened. We spent two years trying to get the people in charge to do something about the filthy conditions. She even fell and injured her eye socket and they still didn't do anything. The people in charge know exactly how bad it is. We hoped my mom's fall was just a one-time thing, but when we kept finding pee and poop on the walls, floors, and even the bed sheets and other residents, we could not take it anymore! We even met with the person in charge and told them my mom didn't have any sheets, her mattress was dirty, and her blankets and comforter were thrown on her chairs, ruining them. She said she'd fix it, but the next day things were still awful. We had to get my mom out of there that same week. We even tried hiring a team to check on the care and cleanliness of the place every week. But it didn't matter. The CNAs didn't want to take care of the residents and the nurses would just make the CNAs handle everything. Paying almost $8,000 per month, The Plaza Waikiki should be so embarrassed about how they're treating our older family members! So horrible!

"Limited Space Disappoints: Plaza at Waikiki Tour Review"

I visited The Plaza at Waikiki and it seemed nice. I thought it would be great because I lived there before and wanted to stay close to my friends. But it's too small, and I wanted a bigger place.

"Satisfactory Assisted Living Tour Experience"

I recently toured this community for my mother. Everything went well. The staff were punctual for our appointment and answered all our questions thoroughly. I liked the open layout and the many amenities for residents. Overall, it's a nice place, just not ideal for my mother in the end.
