"Lackluster Care and Broken Promises"
My family member isn't receiving what we're paying for. The staff is nice but not always honest. They don't take good care of my loved one, and the food options aren't great. Plus, there's no 24-hour nursing staff. They make promises they don't keep and can be unfriendly.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Improving Food and Activities"
Whenever my family member needed help or something wasn’t quite right, the staff was always there to fix it, especially the managers. The community is small, so she gets the attention she needs. We moved in during Covid, so I can’t compare everything. They provide transportation for appointments. The food is okay; it got better after the new year. Activities were limited due to Covid, but they’re adding more, like exercises and crafts. Overall, my loved one is doing well, and they treat her like a person, not just a room number.

"Safe and Welcoming Community with Spacious Rooms"
We picked Amelia Place because it felt really safe. The girl who gave us the tour was super nice and made us feel welcome. The rooms are pretty big, and you can choose different sizes. They have a nice, safe indoor area where people can go outside anytime. Overall, I would recommend this place.

"Nice Place, Not for Mild Assistance Needs"
This place looks great and the people working here are really nice. Most folks living here need a lot of help, like levels 3 to 6 out of 6. They don’t take Medicaid if you’re thinking about that. It’s not too big, with about 54 people living here. It’s not the right fit for my parents though, because they can do most things by themselves and just need a little help sometimes.

"So Happy with The Amelia Place – Truly Blessed!"
My dad moved in just over a month ago, and we’re thrilled! They treat him with respect, joke with him (which he loves), clean his room every Sunday, and do his laundry too! There are lots of activities if he wants to join in. I’m so thankful she came to Mercy Hospital that night and helped us with the move. We feel blessed because of The Amelia Place!

"Unattended Residents and Discontented Staff in Assisted Living Facility."
Barely deserving of one star. I recall stepping into this facility and spotting a worker taking medication while wheeling around the medication cart. I noticed residents in wheelchairs simply left alone. Even their few friendly staff members don't have anything good to say about the place. Fortunately, none of my family members live here, but a friend's relative does. If it weren't for their passing, I'm certain we would have relocated them. This establishment makes Rising Sun seem like a dream!

"Major Problems Noted at Local Assisted Living Home"
Barely worth a single star. I once visited this facility and spotted an employee taking medication while she was moving the medical cart. I noticed residents in wheelchairs left alone. Even the few friendly staff members don't have any good words to say about this place. Fortunately, none of my family is here but a friend had a relative living here. If the resident hadn't passed away, I'm sure we would have moved them somewhere else. This establishment makes the low standards at Rising Sun seem praiseworthy!

"Residents face neglect and poor treatment."
If you don’t have a power of attorney (POA), they treat you poorly. My parent is also treated badly. Residents aren’t respected or valued. If you stay long enough, you’ll notice. There’s not much to do for residents, and health issues get ignored. The nurse is unfriendly and unhelpful. The assistant director can’t handle her job.

"Deputy Director Lacks Skills, Residents Lack Respect and Care"
Respect for residents isn't a priority here if you lack power of attorney - my own parent isn't treated well. It's clear that the residents don't get the respect they deserve or the attention they need. Also, long-term observation reveals a lack of adequate activities to keep the elderly engaged. Dedication to health is not taken seriously and important issues are often brushed aside. Furthermore, the nursing staff is cold, unfriendly, and not supportive. The assistant director appears to lack the ability to adequately perform her work.

"I'd choose to live here!"
Amelia Place takes great care of its residents, and my friend enjoys living there. The food is tasty, and they even invite family and friends to holiday events. The memory care unit uses tracking devices to keep everyone safe. It's a beautiful place that offers cocktails if residents want them. The community is clean, and they handle laundry. I highly recommend this community.

"Friendly Atmosphere at Amelia Place"
The folks at Amelia Place are super friendly to everyone, and their food is really, really good. Sometimes, though, it takes a bit for the maintenance team to fix things for the residents.
