"Bickford's staff makes residents feel at home"
The staff at Bickford are great, and they really try to make the residents feel comfortable and at home. Our loved one is still getting used to things, so she hasn't joined the activities or eaten in the dining room yet, but she really likes the meals. We would recommend this place to other families.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Everyone's been nice. Some areas clean, some not. Sometimes cobwebs, dirty toilets. Loved ones like meals and activities. Communication needs work.

"Comfortable and Welcoming Assisted Living Facility"
This place is really nice. It looks beautiful with a great front porch and courtyard. The rooms are a good size, not too big, which is good so you don't feel overwhelmed. They have different activities like exercises you can do sitting down, bingo, WII games, and crafts. There's also a private dining room where families can have a meal together. I think I would like to have a studio here. They can help with moving around, even with two people if needed. It costs $8000 each month to stay here. They have a GRIT TV station, and they offer a special retreat room to help you settle in when you first move in. Plus, they let you try it out for 30 days to see if you like it.

"Great Care, Fun Activities, and Delicious Food Highly Recommended"
I would definitely recommend this place. My mom is really happy there and I feel she's getting great care. They offer lots of fun activities, and both of us are pleased with how things are going. She enjoys the food, and there are various floor plans to pick from. My mom lives in a one-bedroom apartment.

"Avoid This Assisted Living Facility - Terrible Staff and Service"
This place is really bad. The boss is hardly around, and even when she is, she hides in her office. The main nurse isn't any better. She's rude and doesn't seem to know how to help properly. The staff are lazy most of the time. Seriously, steer clear of this place. The cleaning? Awful.

"Caring Staff, Needs Brighter Decor"
The staff here is really nice and caring. But the place doesn't have enough natural light, and the decorations are kind of old-fashioned and gloomy. It can make you feel a little sad.

"Kind Director, Uncheerful and Small Assisted-Living Facility"
The head of the place, was really nice and smart. But the building itself was dim and didn't feel happy. The rooms were super cramped and slightly grimy. It's a tiny place. Some people might like it, but it's not the right place for my mom.

"Memory Care Facility Falls Short; Very Isolated Experience"
While searching for a place for my family member, we visited this facility. It felt like a typical nursing home, not quite like the special memory care they claimed. We didn’t see many residents around, which made it feel lonely. My family member wouldn’t be able to walk far for meals, and she doesn’t like walking much. They were also very insistent about signing papers right away. We decided to choose a different place in the end.

"Clean, Caring Community"
I toured this place for care. I was impressed with how clean it was, and the staff was very helpful in answering my questions about the care they provide. The menu looked good, and they have activities for the residents. I would suggest families check out what this community can offer their loved ones.

"Friendly Staff and Convenient Location!"
I really enjoyed touring this community. It's just a three-minute walk from my house, which is super convenient. The staff was super professional and welcoming to my mom and me. I appreciated that they were willing to collaborate with local programs and rehabs to ensure my mom got all the help she needed. Unfortunately, they didn't have any openings for her at the time, so I had to choose a different facility.

"Great activities and helpful staff, but needs weekend events"
They have lots of activities from Monday to Friday. I wish they had some on the weekends too. The food looks and smells great. The chef is super helpful. They’ve done a great job with her diet. The place is clean, and I’ve already told others about it. I’d also recommend A Place for Mom.”

"Disappointing Living Facility with Poor Communication but Great Food"
This place is not worth recommending at all! I was there for about a month and it was full of problems. For starters, the call buttons in the rooms barely worked and even when they did, the staff often didn't respond quickly, even when they could see I was in bad health. They messed up my meal delivery three times. They took a whole two weeks to hand over my paperwork for me to sign and answer my basic questions about things like meal times and laundry service, despite me asking repeatedly. I kept asking for copies of the paperwork I signed and was only given some of them a few days before I left. My bill was wrongly calculated too. So many other things went wrong and there was a total lack of communication and just a lot of excuses from the staff, both locally and at a corporate level. On the bright side, the place was very clean and the food, prepared by the two chefs, was fantastic.

"Poor Communication and Inadequate Service Despite Cleanliness"
I'd advise AGAINST this facility. During my month-long stay, numerous issues arose: 1.The call buttons in my room frequently failed or staff took their sweet time answering, even when I was seriously ill! 2. I missed meals three different times when they forgot to deliver to my room. 3. Basic informational paperwork, including routine schedules for things like meals and laundry, was finally given to me after a fortnight of repetitively asking for it! 4. Despite repeated requests for copies of all signed paperwork before my departure, I only received a portion of them a few days before leaving. 5. My bill had errors in its calculation. 6. I encountered countless other problems marked by poor communication and lots of excuses from both local and head office staff. As for positives, there were only few: the facility was spotlessly clean and the two chefs prepared delicious homemade meals!
