"Assisted Living Facility Provides Comfort and Activities for Residents"

The people here are really nice. They are trying hard to make my mom feel comfortable and help her make friends. They always check on her and call me if there’s any issue. The place is bright and has many nice places to sit. There are always activities going on to keep everyone busy and happy.

"Disappointing Experience at Eagle Pointe Place"

We didn't like Eagle Pointe Place. We visited at 1:30 in the afternoon, and there were still dirty lunch dishes in the dining room. Also, the facility looked old and needed updating.

"Not Enough Activities Here"

This place just didn't have enough things for the residents to do.

"Comfortable Living with Great Staff and Activities"

My husband and I have lived at Eagle Pointe Place for 2.5 years. We love it here! The apartments are great, and you can bring your favorite furniture and memories. The staff is awesome and very helpful. There are many activities to join. We have a beautiful patio and balcony for fresh air. You can walk around the property for exercise. You'll make lots of new friends and enjoy each other's company. The place is very comfortable, inviting, and welcoming. Come see for yourself

"Former Tennant's Cautionary Tale of Assistive Living Facility"

Let me start by highlighting that this assisted living facility looks gorgeous and outsources quality services. The apartments could use some improvements, though. However, make sure it's a good fit for your loved ones. Honestly, this facility's management is unsettling - the Enlivant Company. They constantly have a change of staff, making it challenging for seniors, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic. My mom stayed there and during her time, I observed a sharp decline in her cognitive capabilities; she also lost 15lbs. Let's not get started on the quality of the food - awful. Despite being a nurse myself, I couldn't examine her when she got a UTI in early September- they wouldn't let me in. When it comes to medication assistance, you're on your own since they don't offer such services to their independent tenants. Even when they knew she was sick and delirious, common symptoms in elderly UTI patients, it still took them 2-3 more days before they offered help. Eventually, I had to take her back to the hospital where she was admitted for five days on IV antibiotics. I was even shocked when they communcated me to inquire about her whereabouts the day after her hospital admission, even after the in-charge director knew where she was. Their communication is poor, and, from my experience, it hasn't improved until now. The last straw was the new director's audacity to remove my mom's dog from her apartment because it was barking while she was at lunch. My 88-year-old mother was terrified when she returned and her dog was missing. Adding fuel to the fire, the day before her planned move, they evicted her because I took her to get her hair done. Their rule states that leaving the building requires a 14-day quarantine. They told me I had to leave her there since she had breached the quarantine. I minded to let the front desk know of my plans beforehand. But they insisted that I should have gotten the director's permission. This felt like vengeful retaliation for her moving out. They even denied me access to her belongings until the day she moved out. The facility's visitation rules are another challenge. We only got 30-45 minutes for outside visits, amidst lockdowns due to exposure or positive Covid tests. Even with their Covid-19 precautions, multiple cases still sprung up about no more than a week after she moved out. Thankfully, she's now in a place where I can see her a few times in a week. Her weight is back up, she's eating better food, and she's full of laughter and positivity again. The previous facility just wasn't the right place for her. Potentially, it could work in non-pandemic times, but right now, it's just not a suitable choice.

"Heartless Facility Leaves New Resident Feeling Isolated and Ignored"

My mom began living at Eagle Pointe Place five days ago and it’s been a disaster. We were initially told that two family members could assist with moving her in and setting up her special phone due to her serious hearing loss, but we quickly found that wasn't the case. The administrator of the facility ignored our attempts to facilitate a meeting to address our concerns. This individual showed argumentative and disrespectful behavior, dismissing our explanations about my mom’s hearing difficulties and her need for a specific, hearing-impaired phone. Installation by MediaCom was scheduled for Saturday, but because the maintenance staff doesn't operate after noon, the phone company was denied access and my mom was left without a way to communicate with her family for days. There's been no phone, no internet, no visits whatsoever. Eagle Pointe Place seriously needs to consider implementing a transition team, especially during the current pandemic, to ensure newcomers feel welcomed and comfortable rather than regretful and isolated. We've tried reaching out to Enlivant, the company that owns Eagle Pointe Place, but they are equally unresponsive. Their phone service is automated, making it virtually impossible to talk to an actual person. We’ve left three messages during the past two days without any response. It’s becoming clear they are more interested in profits than people. Our family is extremely dissatisfied with Eagle Pointe Place. That said, it's only fair to give credit to the other staff members we met, who were cordial and approachable.

"Disappointing Lunch Experience for Mom at Assisted Living"

My mom's lunch experience today at the assisted living was disappointing. She's been feeling unwell and saw her doctor at his own office, so the staff delivered her lunch to her room. They gave her herb-rubbed pork loin, sautéed spinach and mushrooms, a baked sweet potato, sherbet and a drink. She isn't a fan of spinach or sweet potatoes - she's pretty picky with vegetables. All she could eat was the pork loin. It was just a small 2x2.5 inch piece that weighed less than an ounce. They didn't provide her with any bread, salad, or fruit, even if they were available. Overall, the meal was pretty gross. Even if she would have liked the sweet potato, it was only 4 ounces and the spinach was even less. Is this what they consider a meal for a woman in her 90s?

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Quality"

My mom likes the food, and the people living there are nice. The workers are really kind and take their time with everyone. But, we’ve got some issues. Her room isn’t being cleaned like it should be. Also, she’s having a tough time using the air unit in her room because it’s not easy to control, and there’s no way to set a steady temperature. We’ve run into some mix-ups with the bills, and one time, the shuttle service forgot about my mom. She ended up waiting a long time in the city.

"Cheerful atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean facility."

I took a tour of this facility, and it was very nice. The overall atmosphere was cheerful. I liked that there were chairs in the hallways, so if someone needed to rest while walking, they could. I met a couple of staff members that I really liked, and the salespeople were very nice. The food was okay, and the facility was very clean.
