"Nice place with both assisted living and memory care"
It was the nicest place I could find for my brother that had both assisted living and memory care. Our main need was a facility that would do a spin down. We agreed to pay for two years, then switch to Medicaid. They only have a few spots for that, and I hope management changes won't mess up our plan. Overall, I am happy with our choice!

"Expensive but outdated facility"
I visited Edencrest at Siena Hills while looking for a place for my loved one. It was nice, but seemed a bit old-fashioned. However, it cost more than other places I saw. Since they didn’t have the right apartment, I kept searching.

"Review: Edencrest Assisted Living - Staffing Concerns Impact Care Quality"
Edencrest is short-staffed, needing more help. The caregivers I worked with were great, but memory care staff from an outside firm lacked quality care due to staffing shortages. Management was accommodating when I raised concerns and made some improvements. I recommend placing cameras in residents' rooms for oversight. Direct family involvement ensures better care. Despite claims of 30-minute checks, staffing issues led to neglect. Some caregivers were often on their phones. Residents in independent living gave top marks for care. However, those in dementia care need more attention, lacking a voice. Family involvement is crucial; those who visited regularly saw better care despite high costs. Having experienced multiple facilities, staffing shortages are a recurring issue affecting care quality when family isn't involved.

"Staff Communication Needs Improvement"
The shared spaces are super tidy. But it feels like residents don’t get much help cleaning their own apartments. After moving in, keep advocating for your family member. I wish the staff would be more proactive about our loved ones’ needs and questions.

"Clean but Pushy and Overpriced"
The community is usually clean, but our loved one sometimes smells cigarettes in the air. Most of the staff are friendly, but when we talked about the care services and their prices, they seemed a bit pushy and rushed us to agree. The cost was surprisingly high.

"Welcoming Community with Great Communication and Food"
They are a very welcoming and friendly community. The staff cares a lot about the residents. The communication has been good. Edencrest kept us well-informed during COVID. The food was amazingly good, with lots of choices and good quality. Before COVID, I got to eat a few meals with my loved one.
